When I was operating my notebook, batttery became nill or at zero % charge. After charging more than 1 hour, when I on the laptop, the monitor remained black but computer became on. Only the monitor remained black. Still now monitor dosen't work. Now what can I do for the solution of this problem? Please give me a solution as soon as possible.
I have aHP 15-d006tx Notebook that I purchased with Windows 8. I recently upgraded to 8.1 and now the function key to adjust brightness does not affect brightness and also Brightness controling option Under settings same as show Unavailable. I installed Latest graphic drivers for Dedicated VGA.
But it recently worked fine with Windows 8.
Hi, for some reason whenever I start up my laptop, the majority of the screen except for the very top will change a color and prevent me from seeing most of the screen. It happened once a long time ago (about like a year ago) but didn't happen much after that. However, for the past 3 weeks or so my laptop has been doing this just about every time I boot up the computer after shutting it down or hibernating. When it loads to the desktop, the screen begins to turn to this transparent green, and then it disappears. I've tried looking online to see if others had this specific problem but to no avail. I have pictures that I've taken to show exactly what it looks like when this happens. The first photo shows what it looks like as soon as I turn the computer on, it's green here but sometimes its white or black. The second and third shows what it looks like when I press enter to go to the desktop and the last photo shows what it looks like as it's about to clear up. After a minute or so the green will disappear, and the monitor will look normal again. Also, these were taken on separate days. So I guess my question is has anyone seen this before and do you know how to fix it? Is it a problem that will continue to get worse until I will no longer be able to view my screen permanently the older my laptop gets?
I have notebook HP Pavilion dv6-6c05er with integrated in CPU graphics AMD Radeon HD 6620G. It also have AMD RADEON HD 7670M but i cannot switch between them. This is only possible with drivers that was made in 2011. Now 2014. And this is not an isolated case. There is solution for the similar problem with AMD/Intel graphics, but nothing for AMD/AMD...
This situation persists for the second year. How long will it last?

Hello everyone , this is how it looks :
A month ago my display got broken.It was okay at the beginning but recently my display started to split into 4.Just randomly.Device has ATI Radeon graphics card but Windows Update installs Intel Graphics Driver automatically (somehow) and after a restart , display gets broken like this again.
I had this issue before and got it fixed when I uninstall the Intel Graphics Card driver manually , but this time it didn't work either.
Any suggestions ?
I have an HP Pavilion DV4 and when I turned it on today the display showed very weird, distorted colors. I rebooted and couple of times to no avail then after about 15 minutes it cleared up and went back to normal. Is my display fixing to go out? Or my graphics card? I am wondering if I am going to have to look at purchasing a new laptop. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time it has done this but I was looking for info to see if I could find out what the problem is. Thank you.

For a while now, this message keeps popping up when I turn my computer on "No AMD graphics driver is installed or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware"
I tried installing the driver, but the message still pops up, so I assume it didn't install properly. I'm not sure what my next step should be. Please help
I purchased the Hp envy 6t-1200 in june 2013, 3 months later the hinges snapped. I've never dropped it. It was repaired under warranty (after much hassle with HP). The right side then broke in March 2014 and I paid out of pocket over $200. Now the left hinge broke August 2014. All less then 2 years of ownership. i've owned Dell's and other major brands with far less issues. It appears this is a major weak point with this model. Please can someone assist?
Am looking for the least expensive cost and availability, replacement to confirm, the video card issue for my laptop.
All of the diagnostics have been run, multiple times to determine the BIOS light flash count blank screen issue, and all other suggestions run, including an additional monitor, with no success.
Hard drive, disc drive, everything works, or at the very least sounds like it is attempting to work as required on start up, just a blank screen. Final diagnostic points to the video card as the culprit?
With all of the new systems available around $300, would like to know if it is the video card, and if it is worth the fix or just purchase an entirely new system?

I am having an issue with my week old notebook display. There is an area of "bright spots" on the left side of the display. They are barely noticeable at a direct angle but they are quite visible if the screen is viewed from a wider angle (about 30 degrees). It seems to be the most noticeable on a bright-colored screen (grey, sky blue, white). The pixels themselves are completely fine, and the touch screen responds, but the spots are brighter than the rest of the screen. The model is 15-n243cl.

Is this a known issue and is there a fix? Is it worth a warranty claim? I don't know what caused the issue but I think there is a chance it is not consumer-induced damage. I purcahsed the machine at Costco if it helps.

Two days ago I Installed Adobe Premiere, and when I try to run it i get a error message that says somethink like they can't find a video module, I google it, and some people says that I have just to update my Graphics card driver. So I go to AMD page, and download the last catalyst control..
Since then I can't open firefox, Games, and other thinks because Load MMdriver crash and when I try to open Catalyst control it's the same.
I try:
- To install de original drivers with the Recovery manager. (nothing happen)
- Uninstall the catalyst control... was the same...
- To Restore the system with Windows Restore point... and then I get a error and it delete my point of restore, and don't solve the problem eather...

They recommend to install that drivers in that order, I already download the driver for my specific model... but I'm worry about that "update" will crash another things.... Which is the solution to this problem?

While typing on a browser, my screen zooms in and out periodically, and I'm sure it's because I'm accidentally touching something. How do I disable this? I've tried going into mouse/touchpad settings but there isn't any option about changing the zoom.
I use Windows 8.1 and have an HP Notebook 15.

I have HP 15 notebook model 15-ro34ca. I am trying to connect to a Panisonic TV with hmdi cable. all i get is a black tv screen. the tv is a panisonic TC-L42D2. I have tried chancing resolution but that is not working either.
HP Elitebook 840 G1 not support standard notebook stand.
Lcd panel didn't allow me to use a standard stand in order to reduce any health problems .
Using a standard stand (as HP Universal Notebook Stand NL514AA) the LCD panel can't rotate enough to have lcd panel in front of me (my eyes) as suggested by healthy guideline.
Can you suggest me any other stand to avoid this issue?
I have a HP Revolve 810 and often use a DisplayPort to VGA adaptor to connect to a projector. Sometimes the graphics card recognises the projector immediately, sometimes I have to log out of windows and then log back in again and sometimes I have to restart the computer before it recognises the external display.
Is there a fix for this problem? I'm using a DisplayPort to VGA adaptor provided by HP.

I have an HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14-b172tx Sleekbook whose touch has stopped working.
This might have been due to upgrading from win 8 to 8.1.
I have applied almost all solutions including factory resetting my Laptop even then the touch is not working.
Could you please let me know if there is any other solution.
