im using a HP pavillion entertainment.dv6000. with windows 7 proffessional. since five good months now i ve not used my webcan but today when i want to make use of it it displays not connected. i tried all i can to get it fix but all in total vain. please tell me what to do and fix my webcam back.

E0K41UA blank screen at start up but still "runs and drives"
Troubleshooting an EOK41UA.
The owner was using the unit in class when it "just went out".
Unit boots and loads Windows.
Video card seems to work properly, i.e., I can connect an HDMI cable and work over an external monitor.
Touch functionality is still working though the screen is blank.
Looking for some way to confirm the touchscreen display is actually out, or whether the owner inadvertently turned it off somehow.

Chromebook11 black screen
Chromebook 11 has black screen at start-up after recharging to green-light power indicator. Cannot get past this because display is completely blank -- so completely unusable. I can see some tiny amount of light when powering on after powering off, but nothing else. I've found numerous user complaints online in reviews and forums about power problems, but nothing suggested works for me.
- Anything to try?
- Where can I file a warrantee claim?

Switchable Graphic HD Radeon 7670m + Intel 4000
I bought this notebook 1 year ago...I always used max performance in catalyst control center and on power play...NEVER USED RADEON, NEVER!
In all Benchmark games I can see the Intel4000 statistic, never seen my dedicated videocard, I bought this laptop for the video card! I need this for my job.
I tried all methods, update, clean, change OS, update Bios...please tell me the solution, the REAL solution....
ps: Bios does not have "Fix mode for switchable graphic".

Possible to connect an external monitor to HP Pavilion dv4t-4200 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC
I have a HP Pavilion dv4t-4200 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC model # A1M02AV and it has a VGA port, one that looks like a phone/broadband cable port, and one that looks like a USB port but indented on either side at the bottom. Can I even connect an external monitor? How do I find out if I have more than 1 video card? Besides the usual USB/headphone ports, I don't have any other ports. It says my drivers are up to date...but I don't even know what I should be looking for. Do I need to install something or buy some sort of adapter?
I am trying to connect a Dell external montitor via the VGA port with a VGA cable. The monitor has power but my notebook does not recognize/detect it. However, when I first plugged it in, my notebook display shrank into a square (vs the whole screen) so it recognized something...but nothing happened on the external monitor.
I tried detecting it via my display settings, but I accidentally changed some dispaly setting so that the home desktop only shows on monitor 1, but unselected my actual notebook display or something or changed it to be monitor 2 (even though monitor 1 does not exist), so when I plug the cable in to my notebook, all of a sudden my desktop goes away and it's a just a blank background screen - and I cannot access the computer display settings or anything.... when the cable is unplugged this setting looks normal, so I can't figure out how to fix it.
Sorry, I have no idea what I'm doing here - please help!

Consulted with a technician, who tells that it is possibly a IC got corrupted (maybe of the vga or graphic). Is it repairable without replacing motherboard. If so then, where do I find the IC. What is the IC model number and what else do I need to do?

DV7-3162nr Black screen/no LED code
Hey! Running a DV7-3162nr--I cleaned out the fan a month ago and repasted the whole works, and its been running much cooler since, also swapped out the keyboard about a week ago. Things were going great, but today, when I went to pull it out of hibernation, it refused to get up.
The touch-sensitive controls right beneath the screen are all light up, but unresponsive. The battery light would stay on for 30 seconds, flash 6 times, stay on again, and the go dark; when I removed the battery, it naturally stopped. The fan continues to run but Num/Caps lock are both dark, no flashing.
Any ideas? I've tried hard resetting, turning it on and pushing f8/f2 numerous times, plugging in a new monitor, and reseating the RAM. Thanks for your time!

Laptop monitor went fuzzy
Hi guys,
I was using my hp laptop a couple of days ago and suddenly the screen went fuzzy and it was only displaying fuzzy lines of different colours that blocked me from seeing anything on the screen.
I connected the laptop to an external monitor throught the hdmi cord and it worked, then i restarted the laptop I clicked on esc multiple times to get the startup menu. It was clear that the laptop was in the startup menu since nothing showed on the external monitor and the computer did not open. Without being able to see anyhting on the laptop I clicked on enter, hoping to go to the diagnosis menu or anything similar, however nothing appeared on the external monitor or the laptop after that. I noticed tha there was a part of the screen on the very top that actually displayed the right colours but they were very blurry. Whenever I would go with the mouse to the top of the screen it would appear and the background was light blue. I tried clicking anywhere in the screen and pressing enter, escape or anything similar but nothing happened.
I have no idea where i went in the laptop startup menu but I'm sure it's a page with light blue background and a bigger that normal mouse and now I don't know what to do. Please help!

New HP Envy 17 Touchsmart Laptop Turned on but had Black Screen
Hi there,
I just bought my new laptop a few hours ago. After putting in the battery, plugging in the AC and pressing the power button, the windows (8.1) didn't boot. All I had was a black screen. The HP logo didn't even come up. I decided to try a hard reset and, thankfully, it worked!
However, I am worried that this will cause problems in the future. Will it?
Is this normal?
Why did this happen?
Will it ever happen again?
I can go and return the laptop and get another one in its place, but I'd prefer not to.
