Laptop screen went white and I had to manually restart, then went through checking the drive and when finished it would not restart and during all this it would go through process of looking like it was going to load but never would. The screen also has red lines in it. I got it loaded fine in safe mode but need some help please.

my lap hp envy 17-j130us problem with playing videos and audio
when i am playing videos it freezes up to 2 seconds and playing continously as well as playing audio in music player also.i have downloaded videos in youtube mkv file with high resoluton 1080p video it was freezing at starting and after playing too fastly and them i have loaded the videos from pen drive that videos ae alos having the same trouble in above process how can i fix the problem i just have buy this pc 20 days ago my model is HP ENVY 17-J130US TOUCH SMART

GPU problems
Hello everyone,
Recently my 17 inch HP laptop went into standby mode and wasn't touched for 2days, after 2 days the laptop was still on but i constantly get bsods saying attempt to recover display driver and timeout failed, YouTube videos stutter like hell on 720p is this a hardware issue or not? I'm using windows 7

Laptop Screen

My laptop is set so that it will not go to sleep when the lid is closed I go to work and come home after a few hours sit down at my desk to play on my laptop and the screen is black I go to the restroom and come back a few minutes later and still black I move the mouse and wait still nothing so I force a shutdown and go to sleep thinking it over heated wake up in the morning and turn it on still nothing the power light comes on and the fan comes on my external mouse does not come on and the caps lock key does not light up I force a shutdown again and try a hard reboot still nothing I can provide my product key if needed

Screen wont light up
Hello i am new to this forum and today im hoping anyone can help me solve this issue im having with my computer. Ive had it for a while now and its a windows 8 hp envy dv6-7227nr, last week i was shutting down my laptop when i noticed it said it was updating something on windows, well i thought nothing of it, then the next day the computer wont turn on at all the power button lights up and also the light for the power cord lights up on the side but the computer monitor stays dark and i do not hear a fan making noise or anything. I tired taking out the battery and holding the power button for 15 sec then connecting the power cord but nothing happens. I love this computer and really hope someone could help me! Also when i put the battery back on the power button automatically turns on wothout me pressing it, is that normal? When the power buttons on it has like a weird blink after like every 9 seconds could that be another problem? Somebody please comment id appreciate it so much! Thank you guys!

I got the windows 8.1, and I installed the graphics driver of hp 15-002ax which is a similaar product having same graphics card. But this driver is saying the dedicated graphics is radeon hd 8500m but mine is 8570m. Can you make it detect the correct card on the laptop?

HP pavilion g7-2293nr Notebook PC black screen
hello here is my issue, i got this laptop christmas of 2012 so my warranty has run out but have had no major problems, sadly 2 days ago i had turned my laptop off and it was working fine no crashes no blue screen or sudden shut downs but it turned off normally, later on in the day i turned my laptop back on and i was greeted with nothing but a black screen
1 yes i have turned it off and turned it back on
2 yes i tried closing the lid and opening it again
3 i tried taking out the battery and AC power cord and holding down the power button for 15-20 seconds
4 i have taken out the two rams and checked both slots and put them back in
5 yes i have connected to an external monitor and it shows up and works just fine
6 i have shined a bright light on the screen and no logo or anything shows up just black
also on a side note, im unsure if this might of caused it but i think it should be mentioned since it is near the screen,
before the black screen issue i recently had a situation where the left side of the laptop near the power button has suddenly disconnected and no it didnt suffer any prior damage i just adjusted the screen and it suddenly snapped, i believe the hinge needs to be repaired or replaced but i cant full describe the problem so ill post a picture

the more i open the screen the further that lifts up, as for the right side everything is fine only the left side has this issue, even so when i first had this problem the screen was working fine still, but my question is could this possibly be linked to and or cause this black screen problem? and if not then is there anything i can do to fix this problem on my own?
i'd like to try all possible options/fixes before i consider sending it off, i dont want to spend alot of money if i dont have to so if anybody got any other suggestions on a fix i would really appreciate it

Screen brightness won't adjust
Hello,
I am unable to change the brightness of my pavilion sleekbook 15. The f2 and f3 buttons don't respond and when I try to adjust by going through 'control panel', 'screen', 'brightness adjust' it doesn't respond either even though if am able to move the cursor on the adjust bar.
Please can you help as my screen is stuck on the brightest setting and is very uncomfortable to look at.

Picture previews won't show
I have a new HP laptop computer, using Windows 8. Just in the past week, I can no longer see my picture previews when I open my picture folders. They are just plain white icons, instead of showing my pictures. I have read some of the common posts, on here about this problem and still can't fix the problem! I did go to the control panel and check the "view" settings, and found that the option "Always show icons, never thumbnails" was not checked. I also already have it set to show large thumbnails, but tried to click to change that setting and I can't change it. The View settings are gray and I can't even click on them to try to reset it! What can I do to be able to see my pictures again, besides just clicking on each one individually?

Webcam suddenly stops working and Unknown USB Device appears in Windows 8.1
I have HP ENVY 15t-j100 Quad Edition CTO. Since it updated to Windows 8.1 the webcam problems appeared, it suddenly stops working, it disappears from the device manager and in the field of Universal Serial Bus controllers appears Unknown USB Device(Device Descriptor Request Failed), though nothing is connected to the USB ports.

HP G62-149WM SCRREN RESOLUTION PROBLEMS
Need help A.S.A.P.!!! Hello helpers...so here's the problem! I decided to turn off Internet Explorer thru the TURN WINDOWS FEATURES ON AND OFF...but after it rebooted,my screen resolution is at 1280×800 and I don't know how to get it back to its original 1366×768! There is now about an inch long black strip on the right-side of display! I turned IE 11 back on but its still there! I removed battery/AC cord and pressed power for 25 seconds but still didn't work! I would really appreciate your help in regards to this matter and I thank you all in advance!

No Video after Installing Graphics Driver
HP Model G6-1D45DX with AMD HD 6520G graphics chip
I have reinstalled Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium onto this laptop using a Windows 7 DVD. When I install the graphics software and drivers, I get a black screen on reboot right after the splash screen. I tried the drivers from HP web site and went to AMD's web site and had it auto dectect and install the drivers. Same result - black screen on startup. The HP Framework is installed and Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
Help! What do I need to do to get the video / graphics / display to work correctly and give me high resolution?
P.S. I tried to use the built-in factory restore but it would give me a black screen during installing all the software and a reboot. I suspect it is this same problem - but why? Shouldn't the factory restore have the correct video drivers?
