Unable to use laptop as when I log in the screen goes black and I can only see my cursor, I can press ctrl,alt,delete and I can see again but other than that it stays blank, how can I fix this? ![:smileysad:]( "Smiley Sad")

Pavilion dv7t-4000 - Blank screen... External screen only works in safe mode.
Hi,
I have the Pavilion dv7t-4000. It works ok most of the time, with occusionaly overheat issues. I am not sure if it is the overheat issues of driver conflict. The screen goes black all the sudden, as if there is no power to it while I was working.
Then, it power itself off .
I thought it was the overheating problem, so I wait like 1 hour before power on again. It is still the same. Blank / black screen without any power to it. My next attempt was to plug in to the VGA port for external monitor. Fortunately, it seems to work ... It shows me the "windows error" screens which tell me that the system wasn't shut down correctly, ask if I wants to go to Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Network.... etc..
So, I tested it. The system will ONLY direct the video to external model when I go Safe Mode. Let me be more thorough here. When I plug in external monitor and do Hard Reset (Disconnect power cord and reconnect, then press power-on), the system will direct video to the external VGA monitor, I can see the BIOS start screen, all the way to the "Starting Windows" animation logo, then both external monitor will go blank, and show no power to the external monitor. The system LCD itself is also blank. no light what so ever.
Then, I press power off to force shut down. Then, power on again, it will take me to safe mode selection screen. At this point, I have option to select Normal mode, however it still would not let me go to my system own LCD.
And windows would not allow me to reinstall video driver in Safe Model...

it doesn't work
Any suggestion how I can fix it? or it is fixable at all?

green screen
i do not have tim eto go to a shop to get my laptop checked and i really need to get this problem solve as i would be needing my laptop for college very soon. my laptop is new but recently it been having problems with playing videos. it shows green screen!!! when i use the facebook app , netflix app or the skype app it shows a greenscreen when playing videos or web chatting with friends. I looked up some solutions and it told me to update my laptop but it already have the lastest version. SO PLEASE HELP. ive posted this question 2 times and no one answered the first time so the question got deleted.

Hi can anyone please help me with my laptop? My brightness keys isn't working. I just reinstalled windows 7 and after that it isn't working anymore but the other keys are working.

HP pavilion g7 Driver problem
Hello , so i recently got this pc when i checked the video cards it said that i have intel 4000hd but also a vga standard
I searched here for an amd driver cause it was detected that i have one
But i found nothing here on the official hp website i went to tld that detected a driver [AMD/ATI] Radeon HD 7670M
i installed it no problem here till i restarted the computer which made my computer all black screen after windows start up
and full fan for about 10 minutes and then a blue screen of death the only way to open the computer again is to go on safe mode which if you enter the driver prop you find that both of them installed, but in order to normal launch needed to delete them both drivers.
ps: if i reinstall INTEL 4000 HD it's completly fine if i do the opposite same problem.

i keep getting intel hd driver has failed but has recovered but it is happing more and more

cant use screen mirroring wirelessly since yesterday
I got home today and i cannot get my HP laptop to connect to my samsung smart tv anymore.. I have only had this laptop for about two weeks but it has worked flawlessly since puchased and connected without any issues. I use this feature to stream movies from my laptop to the TV without having to run an hdmi cable. I have tried resetting the laptop and the tv, have disconnected all bluetooth and wireless devices and readded them. I cant remember downloading anything on the PC in the past day or changing any settings. This was really the only reason i bought this laptop so i am dying to get it fixed...please help!
The Samsung TV is less than a year old and there are no software updates available that are not already installed.
The HP laptop is a HP 15-g011nr model.

When I turn my laptop on, a white screen comes on and slowly turns to black and when I adjust the screen brightness, it just turns to a white screen again. HELP.. Is this covered to be fixed under the warranty? Just happened out of the blue..

HP ENVY dv6-7250ca vertical lines on screen
I bought this laptop about a year ago for school and some gaming when away from my desktop. About a week ago a line of pixels on my screen appeared, I have googled fixes for this and have tried most of them; I've updated the intel graphics drivers and have also tried some of the older (outdated) drivers, I have also updated the nvidia drivers. I've looked at the bios and the lines appear there as well, I'm begining to think it may be an issue with the monitor and might need to be replaced.

Windows thinks i have a 3200x1800 display when i have only 1600x900?
Hi, bought an HP Envy TouchSmart 14 k100 sleekbook today (demo, they was out of stock) and i have a major problem.
My OS (Windows 8.1 Pro) thinks i have a 3200x1800 screen, but i really have a 1600x900 screen. If i change my res to 1600x900 everything is super big and it's pretty useless. 3200x1800 is the best to use, but still it have some viewing errors. Most things is good, like chrome etc, but text in windows is too big, and the startmenu (the new startmenu-window) is too small.
Why is this? I have the latest nvidia AND intel grapich drivers, but they did not affect the error for me.

A8-6410 Driver problem
I bought a HP 15-g012sm notebook, installed windows 8.1 and all the drivers that are provided here:
But it still says that I have a Generic VGA card installed, instead of the Radeon. It also sais it runs a AMD Atombios driver.
When I go into the device manager there is an exclamation mark beside the Readeon card.
What sould I do?

Issues with external monitor Elitebook 820 G1
Hi,
I am having problems connecting an external monitor, Dell 2709W, to my Elitebook 820 G1.
I have an Intel HD 4400 graphics solution. The monitor says:
Out of range signal
Cannot display this video mode
change computer display input to 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz.
I use a Display Port cable for the connection.
Any ideas as I maight get it to work?
My OS is Win 8.1 64bit
I have used the HP support assistant to update all hardware drivers.
