im installing a new debian whezzy in my dv7 4287cl, but im having problems with the graphics card, and i cant use the radeon. Switcheroo doesnt work for me. So, there is a way to disable the integrated graphic card, the bios setup doesnt allow it.

I can't connect two 27" to the docking station and get them to work. Having one using the Display Port and the other using the Digital port I only get 1280x720 max resolution on screen 2. However if I connect the second screen directly to the Display Port on the notebook and the primary screen to the Display Port on the docking station all is well.
The screens are HP 2740w, I had zr 2440 before, no issues with those connected like the 27".
Any suggestions for a fix where I can have both screens connected to the docking station and don't have to manually work the second cable.

I have an HP Pavilion g6-1d80nr Notebook PC with Windows 7 intalled. In March of this year I was notified of an update for the CyberLink YouCam. While performing the update, it told me to uninstall certain programs before finishing the the updates. I did exactly as it said and the camera worked fine for two weeks then the video stopped working. I have been racking my brains out trying to get my webcam working again without any success. When I start CyberLink, it says no webcam detected. I'm at a loss here and need your help to get this working again. Thank you.
I just purchased the Envy 4 TouchSmart today. The model number is 14-k074ca and the operating system is Windows 8. When I got home and opened it, the touchscreen did not work at all. Futureshop's site says it is supposed to have a touchscreen and the display model that they had in store had a working touchscreen but mine doesn't.

How do I turn off auto brightness feature? My monitor adjusts brightness automatically. I have checked internet forums for the same and it seems lot of people are struggling and there's no definite solution for this. Though it may be a cool feature, it is annoying at least for me! :(
I checked, the 'enable adaptive brightness' feature is already turned off in power options. Auto brightness happens always no matter if I am on Battery or Power Supply. Attached herewith screen shot of advanced power options.

I have a HP Pavilion G6 1130SL (Ram upgraded to 8GB), OS: Win8 PRO 64 Bit (OEM).
My problem is with Switchable Graphic Card ATI RADEON 6470M.
I have downloaded the latest driver from HP DRIVERS SUPPORT but the graphic card(ATI) never works.
Bios updated to latest version F.66
I tried the latest beta driver from amd.com but the problem not resloved!
When i tried the windows 7 64 bit driver for ATI GRAPHIC CARD (On compatibility mode) the screen goes black and crash. (windows restart).
Hope this problem will be fixed by HP SUPPORT by upgrading the GRAPHIC CARD DRIVER becouse it wont work on WIN 8 64 Bit!!!!

Hello, I have an HP Envy Sleekbook 4-1055tx with product number B9K27PA running on winows 8-64bit Pro. I have switchable graphics card intel hd 4000 and AMD radeon HD 7670m. I would like to know if this driver http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst13-6WINBetaDriver.aspx is compatible with my laptop as the driver provided by HP is already outdated. If yes, is it okay if I just download the driver and install it or do I have to do something else to avoid driver conflicts? Thank you!
while using win2flash software my system got crashed and after that i have installed windows7 twice and now using dual boot with windows8 problem is that:- after that crash when i install graphics driver (intel or nvidia and intel both) system suffered with blue screen problem having code 0x0000001E but now after one month of that problem intel diver works but when i am trying to install nvidia driver it displays, "This graphics driver does not find compatible graphics hardware." (in both windows7 and windows8)

my granddaughter just walked up and touched some keys before I could get to her. since then the text and images on my screen seem to be stretched. How to I revert to default. Hey there guys, I have an HP envy 14 beats edtion (1260se). I have an issue where horazontal lines and vertical lines will appear on the screen at random times, or sometimes when I change the angle of the screen. (happens most often when I change the angle). This problem is not constant, but I see it at least once a day. It happens both on the dedicated and integreated graphics. I need help figuring out what it is.
I called HP support, and they said it would be 300 to fix it, (replacing the motherboard, screen, and graphics card) Should I go for it, or fix it myself? How would I narrow down what it actually is? I am very tech savy, and not afraid at all of taking my pc apart to fix it. I mess with computers all the time.
Please help me! I love this laptop, its exactly what I need.

I recently updated my graphics cards drivers in hopes of boosting fps in some games, but afterwards, ended up with less fps in most of them.
I have Windows 8 on a HP 2000-2b19wm if that matters.
I need help with reseting them to the original drivers, is there anyway to get them to what they were before? I tried before, using the "Roll Back Driver" setting, but it made my laptop work very oddly and made it not bring up some tabs (Like making tabs on the start menu and on the windows tab on the right of my laptop). So I just hit "Update and Resart" button after finally getting the side menu open and it made it work ok, but on the new drivers still, which was the original issue.
Can I get back to my old drivers without my laptop getting all choppy and odd? I'm afraid of accidently breaking something by messing with it on my own.
Hi, I have some questions about my webcam. It currently isnt working and I tried to update the driver but it isnt even showing up under device manager. I did nothing wrong to my laptop and it's still in good condition so im curious as to what is going on? I have the HP TrueVision HD webcam. My laptop is the HP Pavilion dv6.

I have had COUNTLESS issues with my **bleep** HP laptop so today in hope of fixing it I am making this thread with a 50$ reward for whoever gives me a solution that works.
I have teamviewer and skype if you want to use that and attempt to fix it directly.
I don't have money to buy a new computer but I have earnt some money selling my programs and I am offering a 50$ reward to fix this so I can play games again.
I used to be able to (Maybe like early last year) play games fluidly(Like mirrors edge on reasonable settings) Now I cant even run around with ME on lowest settings (As games/the system is default selecting the intel graphics card).
