This is my product HP Pavilion dv6-6145dx Entertainment Notebook PC. I'm using this for last 14 month. yesterday while I watching movie I discover on the bottom side of display is getting blur. first I thought probably it's related with the video file which I was watching but after finishing the movie I realize it's not the movie my lcd got issue. on the bottom colour has been chnged. it's affect half of the taskbar. It's seem that the lcd got broken but it's not actually. I connect my laptop with an external monitor to find if there is a problem with the main board but it's work fine. I've tried to change refresh rate but it was stuck on 60 so please if anyone out there can help me to solve the problem pelase help me out.....

Pavilion dv7-4285dx: cannot BOOT/POST to external VGA and internal LCD is dead (cracked)
I have cracked the screen of my HP Pavilion dv7-4285dx so badly that I cannot read anything on it. I am trying to boot to an external monitor on VGA port, but never get a signal.
I have tried the monitor switching key, but that doesn't do anything. I have tried disconnecting the internal LCD from the motherboard - no different. I have tried a CMOS reset by removing the laptop battery, removing CMOS battery, disconnecting power supply and holding power button down for >1 minute, then restarting with just external LCD attached, but STILL no video on VGA port.
The video adapter is okay, as it boots to Windows and then I have video on the external monitor.
Although it's good that I can use the ext. monitor once Windows boots, I need to have video at boot time to make changes to BIOS.
Does anyone have another suggestion of how I can get the BIOS to detect and display to external VGA at boot time?

Broken screen and hinge on Pavillion m6-1035dx
I have a Pavillion m6-1035dx Entertainment PC that operates on Windows 7 home edition
After purchasing this computer in 2012, a year later the right side of the screen started slowly slipping
on the cover where the seam is that joins with the hinged part of the unit, right by the 'HP' logo.
After about a year of this, the cover to the hinge fell off, exposing the bare hinge, and a few wires.
I have been extremely careful with this laptop; it has never been exposed to temperature extremes, or dropped.
The problem has progressed now to where the screen is pulling away from the black plastic border on the inside of the cover, just above the keyboard. There is interference with the video display on the right side of the screen that gets worse or better as the screen is moved.
Is there a way to fix this?

Display get worst half of the task bar cover with annoying color
from several days i'm having problem with my display. I'm using Pavilion dv6-6145dx which is with AMD RADEON GRAPHICS. I discover some annoying combination of color from last few days which is cover half of the taskbar. I've allreaday connect it with an external lcd but that works fine that's mean there is no problem with my mother board. I use to take a photo by sniping tools but after take a shot I find there is no problem..Please help me out..............

When I "touch" my monitor the computer senses a "touch" on my All-in-One computer screen
I have an ASUS All-in-One computer (ET2300) and a HP2300 Pavilion monitor.
When I connect the monitor to my Microsoft Surface it works just fine. Touch and it reacts to whatever you touch.
HOWEVER - when I have it connected to my ASUS computer the "touch" on the monitor winds up acting on the ASUS screen. To maybe better explain, if I touch the center of my HP2300 instead of activating whatever is under my fingertip on the HP2300 monitor, it activates whatever is in the middle of my screen on the ASUS.
Any ideas about how to fix this? Obviously it senses and reacts to touch properly on the Microsoft Surface. It just "speaks another language" when connected to the ASUS.

Graphic driver update problem
Hi, I'm having trouble downloading the latest intel graphic driver.
I use an Envy Sleekbook G8C88PA#AB1 with a Intel HD 4400.
On the intel website it keeps saying the driver being installed is not validated to this computer. I have a very slight screen flicker and would very much appreciate some help, thanks.

HP 15-g073no two gfx cards, how to choose the more powerful one?
Hello! I am a brand new owner of the HP 15-g073no laptop! So, my problem is, how does one switch the preferred graphics card to the more powerful dedicated card with 1gb of dedicated RAM? Also, can I use the dedicated graphics card on the laptop monitor, or do I have to plug a screen in through HDMI?

CQ41: laptop suddenly don't recognize webcam
Hi,
It seems that my Presario CQ41 suddenly can't recognize the integrated webcam. I am sure that it did because I usally Skype with this camera, but whatever I do, try and find, my laptop doesn't recognize the webcam anymore.

I have a HP 15-D054SQ Laptop and I try it to conect via HDMI to an LCD full HD LG TV,I have only sound and even if I set full resolution 1980/1080 , image is not displayed on full screen .I set extendet display for LG device to watch movies but Is displayed only the backgroud image from my desktop and sound .How to fix this problem ?

black screen. ..HELP?!?!
so I want to log on to my computer and a little box popped up and said that there was not enough resources. then another box came up and it said to try to log on to another account. So I want to try and log on to the guest account and the screen went black. Does anyone know how to fix this?

touchscreen tripeaks malfunction
PRODUCT: HP ENVY 17t Quad TouchSmart Windows 8.1 i7-4700 MQProcessor
Top card on the right peak will not respond to touch...and has to be selected using touchpad or mouse.
After restart....the problem corrects.
But then....some time later.....stops functioning again for the top card on the right.
Think it should work perfectly without having to restart. Concerned that it foreshadows developing problem.
Is there a permanent solution?

Video freezes on my Envy 15t-j100 (E1P04AV)
I bought this back in December 2013. Back then, the video would freeze permanently until I closed the the window and reopened the video. An updated video driver came out which helped a bit with the problem. The computer now freezes for a few seconds and then continues. Still annoying and shouldn't happen. Any thoughts?

since 2013 i and many other customers have issue with probook 4540s on windows 8.1 !!!!
the problem just need fix and update the Graphic Driver !!! its not so hard !!! it is not need monthes to work !!!!
i dont know why HP Support dont replay on us !!!!

Switchable graphics - unsolved by existing methods

I have an ENVY 14 1260se (Beats edition). I can't remember the product number off the top of my head but that should lead to it. Purchased new a few years ago.
Recently I cleaned it up of old programs and adware. The switchable graphics, which was "fixed mode" from the factory, no longer functions. When I pull up the option for it, the "current GPU" shows blank and clicking either option button (high performance ati/power saving Intel) presses, but does nothing. It is in the Intel mode and only that one shows up in the Device Manager.
I already reinstalled all relevant drivers from the HP site (intel, amd, BIOS) to no change.
I hid/unhid the Appdata and Users folders.
BIOS startup gave no option for switchable graphics.
I fear I deleted something among my cleanup to cause this.
I really want to go back to being able to play non-demanding games that are terribly slow on the Intel graphics.
What can I do?

Hp 4510s has a black screen
The computer comes on but all I'm getting is a black screen and my wifi button is amber.
