I have a Hp Split x-2 with Windows 8.1 when I go to use my webcam it stops after a few minutes. I tried it on different webcam conversations. After a few minutes on all of them it just quits I close it out & have problems reconnecting. If i restart my computer it works again very annoying Please Help

HP Envy dv7 Laptop Screen is Green
Hey guys, just ran into a problem with my laptop. Was working fine this morning, had to go to work so shut it down, closed it and set it back down (might have been too rough?) onto the table. Now my screen is green instead of black when it boots up, green all around, kind of hard to read/see things and it's very...line-y.
It's Windows 8.1, NVIDIA GEFORCE GT. I've browsed some other forums and have hooked up an external monitor to check things and everything is fine on the external monitor. So I was wondering what I need to do to fix it?

F-4 Key on Windows 8.0 what is this function for?
I accidentally pushed F-4 Key by itself, and my screen was wider and something pop up on the right side of my screen that had 4 choices of ??? My question is what is this function for?? And after I push it again it went back to normal. I would also like to know what the other functions are for on top row F-1 to F-12 and yes I am a new user to this laptop from HP. I know there is also windows + keys commands and I am interested in knowing more about what goes on with my pc. F-3 has a icon that looks like a light, and yes I have a lot to learn, Thanks in advance for anyone who wishes to give me help on these matters.

compaq presario v6210US blank screen
I have a "compaq presario v6210US" which worked great for a while then it just shut itself off and restarted and the screen stayed black. Now it keeps restarting itself but the screen stays blakc. I can hear the fan and hard drive and everything else running the way it's supposed to. I heard that this has happened to a bunch of other people so it sounds like a defect to me. How do I get it fixed or do I just pull the hard drive, toss the Presario and get a competitors laptop?

15-099nr
I recently purchased a limited edtion 15-099nr beats HP notebook. at first it was giving me issues with not letting me load games or even log on to any search engines. I took it back to Aaron's and they reset it to its original manufacture settings so it might start over. This has now made it which was originally a 64 bit system change to a 32 bit display and it says the display is now a Microsoft basic display adapter instead of the AMD vision quad core A8-5545 accelerated processor that inables it to run the 64 bits and that helps run the windows 8.1 that was on it before Aarons worked their magic and now it has windows 8 like their machine had. What do I do specifically? PLEEEEEEEEEEAAASE?!

Overheat+lagg during gameplay
Hello. I have an issue with my pavilion 17 e020sq.windows 8.1pro ,bought in december 2013. when i play certain games, i can't literally play them,because of the lagg. extremely high lagg,and it gets hot and the cooler gets loud too.If i minimize the game,no problem.As soon as i maximize it,baaang,cooler is going crazy.
A friend of mine got the same problem,at a different laptop,and he did smth with deactivating turbo booster,he said,then the game worked. i looked in the BIOS for some turbo or video/display settings, nothing.
Anyone got a clue?

i'm using 2230Tx laptop since year.Now i got an issue that it was not
displaying the screen brightly while switching on.
I can't see the screen brightly in my working city,
and i can view properly and it get working properly asusual in
my home town finally the problem is due to the changes in my places laptop also changing it's work.Just please suggest me what i want to do now and i had given it in the service centre they are saying that it's properly working.They had kept it in observation for 2-3 days also.My screen is showing black while turns on the power button it getting logged in windows logon music sound is audible and the fan and the remaining components are running on but screen is showing blank.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 (PES 2013) not detecting GPU/VRAM
Im using HP Pavilion 15-N260 Tx laptop. I have 4 Gb Ram , 500 GB HDD, 2GB Radeon Graphic card. Last night i try to install pro evolution soccwr 2013 and i find some more critical problem.
1) not detecting GPU/VRAM
2) it show 64 MB VRam
so that i cant meet the minimum requirement for the Game but i have already 2GB graphic card on it.

Don't recognize 120Hz
Hello, I need help please. I have a HP ENVY 17t-j100 Leap Motion QE CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR), I am trying to display at 1080p 120Hz with a HDMI 1.4 trough a Seiki 39" but my computer just recognize 60Hz.
- I have installed the latest NVIDIA and Intel drivers.
- I tried to use a .inf with 1080 120Hz file to override it.
- I tried to force it with Power Strip.
Nothing is working, the native resolution of the Seiki 39" is 1080 120Hz so it should recognize it. Any suggestions?

Some months ago I upgraded my HP DV7T-4100 notebook from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 8.0 and the first thing I noticed was that the HDMI port on the ATI (now AMD) Radeon 5000 display adapter no longer worked. I was able to use the VGA port so I didn't worry about it too much. Incidently, the fingerprint scanner also stopped working.
I checked the HP website and only found display adapter drivers for Windows 7, and since there was no mention of Windows 8.0, I concluded they didn't have a driver. I check the AMD website and found a note that said all drivers must come from the manufacturer. I've checked for several months now and found nothing so I must assume HP doesn't intend to provide a driver for the adapter. Comments from other users support this assumption.
Recently, I upgraded from Windows 8.0 to Windows 8.1 and now the Radeon adapter doesn't work at all. In fact, when trying to access the adapter, my notebook simply repeatedly reboots after power up. I know this is the problem because I booted into safe mode (hit the F8 key repeatedly when booting), uninstalled the Radeon adapter and rebooted. My notebook booted OK using the built-in Intel HD graphics adapter. After several minutes however, the notebook again rebooted by itself. I again booted into safe mode and noticed that the Radeon adapter had been discovered as new hardware and when the driver was loaded, it again caused the notebook to reboot.
Next, I disabled the Radeon adapter (rather then uninstalling it as I had done earlier) and consequently forced it to use the Intel HD Graphics adapter. Unfortunately, the driver for this adapter only operated in 1024 x 768 resolution with the HP provided driver. Furthermore, I couldn't use my external monitor since the external projector (VGA) port no longer worked!
Fortunately, I had made an image backup right before upgrading to Windows 8.1 (I learned my lesson after having been burned when upgrading to Windows 8.0) so I was able to restore back to Windows 8.0 and live without the HDMI port.
I have several problems with HP's upgrade policies:
. They should list all the problems you can expect if you upgrade to a new release of Windows.
. They should send an email to all registered owners warning them of the problems above.
. They should provide drivers for at least the next 2 releases of Windows.
I've learned my lesson and willl never purchase another HP product. The company apparently is more concerned with selling new hardware than supporting their existing customers.

pavilion dv6 screen is dark can only see when light is put on it
Hello, my pavilion is a dv6-6106nr from 2011 and I am currently having issues with it. At first there were these lines that would flicker across the screen. I accidently dropped it and then the screen went completely black. I have been trouble shooting and trying different solution such as I bought a new screen and put it in with hope it was just the backlighting. However, that did not fix my problem. My next step was to try to replace the inverter, but on this particular laptop I could not find the inverter at the bottom of the screen area, which is why I am hoping someone else has had this problem and can help me out with finding it. I will say there is another hook up area on the back-bottom of the screen with nothing to plug into it. I am thinking this is where the inverter should be, but when I opened it up there was not one. If this is where it is located is it possible they did not put the inverter in there?

HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC AMD Graphics driver
I have been having this problem for over a year (my warranty had conveniently just expired right before this started happening). It first started when I plugged in my computer to my tv through an HDMI cord (which I had done before with no problems). My computer shut down after loading up a game and when I finally got my computer back up and running, it said my AMD graphics card driver was not working properly. Every time I tried to repair or update it through the HP Website via the drivers list, it would crash my computer. After I unstalled the driver completely, it STILL crashes my computer upon trying to now re install it. I am very frustrated and at a loss, and I know there have been a lot of problems with these drivers in the past. They haven't even been updated since 2011... I built this computer to be a gaming lap top, and at this point it is just a suped up paper weight as there's no point in even having 8GB of RAM or 1TB of hard drive memory if I can't even run my games on it... Has anyone had this problem or found a solution to it?

HP Evny 17 boots up with vertical / horizontal lines
I have no idea what is going on, when I turned on my laptop I was all of a sudden greeted by a screen filled with vertical lines. Then about the time it takes to get to the log in screen, it changed color to what I believe is my log in screen.
Can someone please assist me?

Hp pavillion 17 black screen at startup
The other day my internet was being annoying so I decided to restart the computer. When I turned it back on, everything looks like it's starting up but the screen is black. I've tried hard reseting it but that hasn't worked. There is also no flashing lights on the caps lock key. Today I tried turning it on and it worked. I turned off the computer earlier and just turned it back on and it had the same problem. If anyone can help me that'd be awesome. Thanks!
