Hey People,

 

I'm just trying to get two monitors to work with my dv6 (dv6-6137TX - i7 based with AMD Radeon 6770, running Win7SP1 x64), but whenever I connect both the VGA and HDMI ports.

 

Windows correctly detects 3 monitors (laptop display #1, HDMI #2 and VGA #3), but will only allow me to extend to one other display (primary + 1).  I can switch the primary between any of the three screens, but it can only ever extend to one other.

 

I see some people have gotten this working on particular dv6 models, but I was wondering if it's possible on mine.

 

Does Windows8 imprve the situation or is it really down to the graphics card and drivers?

 

If it can't work I guess my options are USB based or set my laptop not to sleep with the lid is shut and just use the external monitors (two 20" HP2035s  1600x1200)

Hey I am having an issue.  My HP Pavillion DV4 laptop screen wont stay lit.  It keeps going black on me but the computer remains on.  Not on like the fan keeps running on like the computer is on and working perfectly but the screen is off.  I can see that the programs are running because I can see the outline of windows on the screen and can use the tab key and the mouse to still work the system I just can not see what I am doing.  I am actually typing this post from the laptop hooked up to my TV so the computer is working fine just the screen is busted.  Can someone please help me with this issue.

I have been connecting my HP laptop to my tv to watch movies, using an HDMI cable, for a long time without problem. I would connect the cable, the laptop screen would go black (along with a beep boop sound), and the laptop screen would appear on my tv.

 

Suddenly it's not working. I still hear the beep boop, but the laptop screen does not transfer to the tv. I tested it on a different tv, and have the same problem. Did I possibly delete a file by accident when cleaning up my programs to keep space available on the hard drive? I changed HDMI cables as well, but no difference. What could the problem and solution be? Thanks.

how come your tech can not fix dvd problem that I have with my laptop ? I have paid for the warranty and yet they want smart tech to look at that problem which would cost me some what $60.00.  if your tech cannot fix the problem then give me my money back. why are you always want the customer to by the extended warranty if you cannot help the customer?

Hello!

 

I've just bought pavalion g6-2284sr with pentium P980, integrated intel HD graphics and dedicated Radeon HD 7670M. As officially this notebook supports only win8. I have installed one. After I installed all the drivers the problem occured: AMD catalyst won't launch. HD graphics driverrs from official site tell that the notebook does't meet the minimal requirements :smileysurprised: . While AMD drivers from HP supports site for this exact notebook model do install.

 

The main issue is: how can i laucn catalyst to manage my graphic cards? Should I try reinstalling the system?

Not sure what happend, but it used to be in the device manager with the intel one.

But I cannot seem to get it there again, I downloaded the latest AMD graphics drivers but it just has problems installing and nothing comes up on the device manager under video cards.

Also, when it did come up, it rarely worked and when it did, the screen would have no backlight working and didnt seem to work despite the drivers isntalled correctly ect.

 

Any help? Getting it to show up and the correct drivers to use?

My newly-purchased HP Envy m6 laptop has a Radeon HD7670M with 1GB RAM.  However, when I run the Performance Check from within Win 8 I get a disappointingly low score of 5.3 for Graphics.  This seems to be because the checker is looking at the onboard Intel HD Graphics 4000.  Is there a way I can force the Performance Check to take note of the Radeon card?

recently pictures i view on the internet have been messing up. Some cannont be found, some are really pixlized and some are just cut off. Not all images appear this way, its just every so often. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

Hi friends I'm using HP Elite Book 6930P. I'm facing a problem when I'm using my Laptop every 5 to 10min my display will be blank and it will show message DISPLAY DRIVER NOT SUPPORTED AND RESTORE. when ever I use to switch on my laptop it will show the msg BIOS corrupt. Web Cam option unavailable after working fine before. At one point I plugged in speakers, and after that the web cam failed to work correctly.. When using skype, I can see them but they can't see me.

Hi,

 

I have a Compaq 620 with Windows 8.

 

I don't usually use the DVD drive. I tried using it today and found that:

 

1. In the left hand side of the Windows Explorer Bar, the F drive (DVD drive) is not listed

2. In the right hand side of the Windows Explorer, the F drive is listed

3. It is listed also in Device Manager and BIOS

4. When I insert a DVD, the drive light flashes and there is a whirring sound as if the DVD is being read

 

However, if I use the Media Center or Media Player or the VLC Player to open the files on the F drive, it does not show anything on the F drive.

 

What could be the problem?

Hi,

 

I have a  HP Pavilion dv6-3108ea.  I'm currently running windows 8 on it.

 

The problem I have I believe is to do with the graphics driver. Whenever I go on youtube to watch a video, after a few seconds the video start s to get choppy and slow. I have to use "Super anti spyware" to detect unwanted programs before I am able to watch the videos properly.  It seems to be a daily occurence that I have to run "super anti spyware" after I attempt to watch videos online, not just on youtube in general. 

 

 Both I can't update as it's the most recent versions.

I would be grateful if anyone could offer advise as to how to prevent the issues I have detailed.

Pavilion g6 1201-tx. Windows 7 Home basic 64 bit. 2nd Gen i5 2430M, Intel HD 3000, AMD 6470M HD 1 GB, 4 GB RAM.

 

Few days back I installed Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS 2). I've adjusted game's settings to Low-Medium.

 

Even when I play on AC Power and 'High Performance' settings for ETS 2, I get only 20-25 FPS. Moreover, during playing Frames constalty drop to 15-18 and that's really annoying. I've tried to play it on Intel HD 3000, but then laptop overheats above 80 Deg. Cels.. whereas on AMD, temperatures are normal: 60-70 Deg. Cels.

 

What should I do? Please help me in this. I've reinstalled AMD and Intel HD drivers.

I didn't change anything on my laptop. I closed it, went to bed, opened it up in the morning to find that when I pressed the volume or brightness setting buttons it wouldn't show the icon in the middle of the screen. I downloaded and installed that stupid mediasmart smart menu that's so smart it won't even launch so a lot of good that did, but given that it worked last night, and suddenly it stopped working I'm guessing that it wouldn't even really require me to download anything like that since it was working just fine beforehand. dv7-6135dx Windows 7 64-bit. Brightness and volume changes but it won't show the display.

I have a HP Compaq Presario CQ60 111-EM
I recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and I love it. My only issue is that HP don't have Windows 8 drivers for my model. Everything else on my laptop works (i.e Speakers) but I can't get my webcam to work. The light goes on but it doesn't show an image. I have installed YouCam but still nothing.

Any ideas? Much appreciated.

Good day,

I have a problem with turn off my HP Envy DV6-7250ec. WhenI giveitto turn off, he cant do this, because I can see only black screen and PC is still runing. And its always happening when I trying turning off him. What can I do please ? I was reinstall Windows and when I turn off this PC, it is alway happening. It is terrible.
