hey, after 2 months ownership. im getting problems with my grahics card.
when i play bf4, it begins to colour shatter and then stop with this dxgi_error_device_hung
also another saying my driver failed but has been restored, kernel something
then u can say, bf4 is to big for my graphisc card, but why first getting in to trouble after 2 months. i have played more than 75 hours succesfully ????

My hdmi port is not working anymore since I installed Windows 8.1
Not working at all (no sound, no image, no recognition of any TV or monitor).
Checked the cables, checked he monitors, these possibilities have been ruled out.
I tried reinstalling the original version of the video driver (Intel chipset) by going to recovery manager, hardware driver reinstallation and selected the Intel 3000/P3000/4000/P4000 driver, restarted the computer, but this is not working.
It does install it and ask me to restart, so I guess it is correctly restored.
When I try to update the driver in the device manager, it also tells me that it is the best driver installed.
Well, running out of ideas.

Hello, I recently bought a HP Envy 15t-j100. I was under the impression that it came with a NVIDIA Geforce GT 740m graphics driver ( even has the sticker on the laptop) and a HP Intel HD 4600 driver. However when I went to device manager and looked at the display drivers, the Nvidia driver was not there. The only driver that was there was the Intel HD one. I then decided to go to the nvidia website and download the latest driver, but that didn't work because it told me it couldn't continue due to imcompatibility. I'm confused, I have the sticker that tells me that I "have" the nvidia geforce graphics card, but in device manager I don't see it. Help!
i read in forums that people could update their bios so they can have opengl on notebook basically my son only wants to play minecraft with his friends but at moment all he gets is opengl driver error if anyone can help id be grateful thanks

Was this ever resolved? I am having the same issue on the same computer that I cannot manually adjust the screen brightness using the function + F2 or function + F3 screen brightness keys. 
Hi i have a HP G62 B01ET with Windows 7 Home Basic 64 bit and i have been using this computer for about 4 years and suddenly i got the black screen problem when i start my computer and when i disable my video drivers using safe mode i can use the computer on normal mode but it gets really slow and runs on a lower resolution and updating my drivers,bios etc. doesnt seem to help i also checked the memory and other hardware in case of a problem but couldnt find any i have also searched the forums for hours and tried solutions posted but none of the solutions worked.If any hardware has to be changed please let me know
Disappointed at all with my Utrabook Envy DV6.
I bought it in 2013, the 22th of January from Belgium, MediaMarkt because I was in love with this model of laptop but in Moldova it wasn't on sale yet.
On June, 2013 I was forced to send it back to Belgium to repair it because it was crashed. The left hinge near the power button popped away from the display.The plastic hinge cover has been broken as well and it popped away from the screw that held it on. This is just from opening and closing and not from being dropped. When the laptop was shown to the shop, they said that this is not a factory mistake and because it's too crashed I have to pay for repair. So I paid 200 more Euros just to have it fixed and not to have any more problems with it.
When it got back to Moldova and I was just opening it when I saw it wasn't repaired well because the plastic frame was still disconnected from the screen. So I immediately sent it back to Belgium, where the factory repaired it for free.
After that I desperately hoped that I wouldn't have any more problems with it. It worked well exactly one year and now I have one more surprise from it: A yellow stripe appears on the desktop at each motion of the screen. Please help me what to do, the warranty expires only on January, 2015 but I don't have already the possibility and powers to send it again to Belgium.

Been trying to sort out a HP G62 display, but to no avail.
The laptop boots up fine, and the fan starts with it's usual quick spin and then slows down. The wifi light goes from Orange to white perfectally fine and then caps lock light will turn on and off when pressed.
However, my understanding is that if there's an issue the caps lock light should flash and the amount of flashes gives out the POST error. Issue here is, the caps lock doesn't flash, not even once. I took out the RAM, booted, and got three flashes, which to me indicates that everything is working as it should as it knows the RAM wasn't there/not working. Reseated the RAM, back to no flashes.
I've tried connecting it to an external display but I'm getting nothing. I managed to get one sound of windows booting up, but beyond that I'm not getting anything. Just seems to be sat there doing nothing.
Any help would be appreciated

I just bought HP Pavilion 14 N037-TX
Intel Core i5-4200U 1.6GHZ
4 GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB DDR3
The notebook already had Ubuntu (uninstalled now) and then I installed Windows 8.1 64 Bit.
I installed the necessary drivers from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=id&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5448937

The installer failed to install AMD Catalyst Control Center and it says "Application Install: install package failure!"
And then I took a look the installation log, it said the installer only install the OEM but not the Catalyst Control. I keep looping install-uninstall the driver but it's always gave the same result.

The problem is, those drivers was succesfully installed the Radeon on Device Manager, but not in dxdiag. The dxdiag still shows that I am using the Intel HD Graphic instead the AMD Radeon 8670M. The catalyst control center won't let me see what GPU is used for power savings and high-performance mode. The dxdiag keep on showing the Intel HD Hraphic whether my notebook is plugged-in to power source or on battery, the Switchable Graphics just did not work as expected.
I already look for an answer in so many forums with similar problem, but the problem still persist.

Shockwave flash won't load on my computer. Every time I load a page that has any type of video content, I get a pop up at the top of the page that says "Could not load Shockwave Flash". I tried downloading/installing the newest version of Shockwave flash, but it still won't work. If I open or play any videos on the internet, they don't load. Instead, the video screen turns gray with a puzzle piece face in the middle.
Any suggestions?
I connected it through HDMI cable to my TV and still, there is a white screen on my TV as well. It's a G61-409CA
I have an HP DM4t-1100 Pavilion Entertainment Laptop. This laptop uses switchable graphics, Intel HD and AMD ATI Radeon 5000. I upgraded my laptop a while back ago to Windows 8 and there were some graphical errors because HP didn't have any display drivers that supported windows 8 so I used a driver from Leshcat. A year later I accidentally updated my laptop to windows 8.1 and thats when the real problem started. I tried to reinstall Leshcat drivers and it would work momentarily but after a while my computer would crash everytime on startup. (I had to uninstall AMD Cataylst to install Leshcat drivers so that could be a reason.)
I was done trying to find a driver that supported windows 8,1 so I decided to reformat my computer using the HP Recovery disks that were given to me when I gotten my laptop. I know the recovery disks work because I reformated my computer many times using the disks when I had trouble installing windows 8 a while back ago. Now after installing all the disks and the supplement disk, the computer finshes reformating and begins to install my drivers. It shows that it's installing all the drivers and then it restarts the computer. Afterwards there's a black screen for about an hour. After an hour there is an error message saying that recovery has failed and it said I should retry. I have retried many times and it's still getting the same error.
I saved an SRD error log. Should I post it here?
