my hp laptop had a white screen , open and closes the screen and got a rainbow. wiggled it a few more times an now i can see but it is a redish pink.

Problems with screen brightness and Graphics Card settings.
English is not my native language so it might be harder for me to elaborate the problem precisely. I recently bought an HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC - P008nx.
1.My screen keeps flickering in a very weird attitude. Whenever I refresh my desktop or minimize an application the screen goes from darker to brighter or vice versa. It is very annoying and very noticable. I wish I could explain more but all I can say is it's like the auto brightness option on any high end samsung smart phone.
2.On the Nvidia settings screen I can only find the 3D settings and nothing else. Why is that?

HP Pavilion DV6 Screen Issue
My current problem is that when switching from the mobile power-saving GPU I lose the backlight on my screen when the high performance GPU kicks in. The HDMI output is displaying video when in High Performance, but the screen of the laptop will only show a picture with no backlight, and can only be seen by shining a light on the screen.
Just started happening the last few days, I've tried a system restore (didn't allow it), tried uninstalling all of the AMD drivers and software then reinstalling with their updated drivers, as well as the same process but with the HP drivers that came with the laptop, still the same result.
Is it possible for the high performance GPU to be failing some how or is this a software issue? I'm out of ideas, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

White screen when I turn on my HP Pavilion touch smart 14 sleekbook
When we turn on our notebook only a white screen appears. All systems seem to want to load however there is no video.
We tried to contact a service center that was listed on the HP site for our area and they no longer service HP products.
The laptop is less than 6 months old and is still in warranty. Please advise as to how to solve the problem or the process for warranty repair.

HP ENVY 15 HDMI Not working
HP ENVY 15 Product number: E1P05AV Gforce 740m and Intel 4600.
Out of no where the HDMI stopped working, I can't output video or audio, nor can I find the device in Audio or Video settings.
I've tried updating drivers, tried starting with the cable plugged in, unplugged, etc. Nothing seems to solve this. When I check audio properties, HDMI audio is gone.

video card problem
Hai friends, I am Abhishek. I have an HP pavilion n259tx laptop; the problem is that there is no video card memory. It shows dedicated video memory as 0 mb I found this via right clicked on desktop screen resolution advanced settings. Then there is a window shows the graphic card properties. The lap includes an AMD RADEON HD 8670M 2GB graphics card; windows 8.1 OS. Please give me any solution for this problem.

Unable to enter sleep mode after updating AMD Radeon 8670M
Hello. I have a HP Pavilion-15 n003TX laptop with Intel HD Graphics 4200 and AMD Radeon 8670 1GB DDR3. Win 8.1 installed.
Upto some days ago I noticed that the AMD card was giving worse frame rates in some games than the integrated Intel card. After much research on the net the suggested solution was to update the AMD driver. Till then I was using this driver:

I went to AMD's official site and downloaded the latest 14.4 driver. (http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/14-4-mobility-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql.exe)
After installing it my game frame rates have improved a lot. But a new problem has arised: the laptop refuses to enter Sleep or Hibernate mode. When I click either of the two, the screen goes blank but the power LEDs stay on and the fan keeps whirring.
After reverting back to the previous driver this problem disappears but the games run poorly again. Is there a way for me to use the latest driver without the Sleep problem?

Problems using old external monitor
Hi,
I am trying to use my laptop with an external monitor but I don't seem to be able to set up the right definition (I get a distorted image)
The monitor I am using is very old (Tanberg Loewe) and seems to require that the screen of the computer is set up to 600x800 because while the monitor works on my old Mac, it does not work on my Probook. Is there a way to set up the laptop to a lower definition? Could there be other reasons why the monitor does not work with my laptop but it works with my mac?

black screen on hp dv6 3025-dx
Capslock key blinks once every other second and the power key is lit-up. Screen is black and I tried connecting it to an monitor to no avail. I tried "resetting" it via taking out battery and holding down power button for 30 sec and it didn't work.
I looked online on youtube, various forums and have seen mixed answers as to what exactly is wrong and how to go about it.
Is it the cpu? Integrated vid chip? Is the board bricked? Should I try to reflow or buy a new board?
Any helpful thoughts appreciated,

HP Envy dv7 periodically changing brightness even in BIOS screen
I have a envy dv7 and im having a strange issue with the display. Every 3 seconds brightness dims a little bit and then gets back again.
I have disabled adaptive brightness in power options but nothing changed.
Also i have checked it in the bios screen, It is happening in there too.
And, in the bios there is no option to disable auto dim or auto ambient light etc.

Can't "analyze product" on HP website nor update Intel® HD Graphics 4400
Hi, I've got Notebook HP Pavilion 15-n234sl and this is my issue.
What's inside my pc:
Windows 8.1
RAM 8GB
Intel® HD Graphics 4400
NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M (2GB)
What happened:
While watching a video on the official vevo app (downloaded from the store), if the pointer is anywhere except in the top corners or showing the sidebar, the screen goes black. Even the pointer disappears. This happens also during the intro video of the game Project Spark (official xbox app downloaded from the store). I also have problems with Steam's "Big Picture", the screen blinks like it tries to stay on but something disturbes it trying to make it black.
What I did:
I went to Intel® HD Graphics 4400 properties, and looked for the official link to update driver. On Intel website I found out that I'm running version 10.18.10.3325 while the newest is 15.33.22.64.3621 (10.18.10.3621).
I downloaded it and tried to install it. Then it said that the driver is not validated for the pc I'm using and that I should request the correct one from the pc manifacturer.
What I did next:
I obvoiusly looked for my pc on HP website from my pc properties and tried the "automatic update" to find automatically the correct drivers for my pc.
The application finds out my model but then the "analyze product" button doesn't work. I just press it and nothing happens.
So I tried to pick up the drivers from the "driver" section of my model's page but I can't seem to find the right one :smileysad:
I'm quite sure that the problem is that I miss the last update, but I can't get out of it :(
If anyone here was able to help me I would be very grateful!
P.S. If anyone asked, I also tried the "update drivers" from Windows device management and it says that the driver's updated while it still shows the non-updated version.

Problem with my HP Laptop G61-631NR!! I keep getting these green dots,lines, and distortions on my screen on start up. The greeen distortions follow and appear on the desktop. Then the screen totally goes black and freezes up for a couple of minutes. After that, the computer recovers and it returns back to operating normally. It keeps repeating this process over and over and I am unable to use it properly. Can anyone please help me find out what the problem is?
