Brief :

• Product Name: Probook 4540s  (Laptop)
• A short description of the problem : After logging on, screen blinking untill log off or shutdown.

 

Detailed information:

• Product Name and Operating System: Probook 4540s / Windows 7 64bit
• Historical Problems: 2 times virus attacks
• Consequence: complete format as I wasn't able to use the backup copy of my original Win 8

Additional Information:

• Machine was originally supported by windows 8
• Antivirus Legally installed: Bitdefender

 

• Description of the problem:
• After 2nd virus attack I installed bitdefender successfully
• I had problem configuring video controller (VGA compatible) but each time the driver wasn't compatible
• Machine was stable but after couple windows updates and restart screen blinked continuously after log on until logging out.

 

• I checked the machine behaviour after doing the following events but problem remains:

1. Disconnecting power supply and reboot.
2. Disconnecting battery and reboot.
3. Reset the bois to default setting and reboot.
4. Try to uninstall updates through safe mode but was unsuccessful.

i have a hp pavillion dv6700 laptop,product no is KD311PA#ACJ.ITS WEB CAM IS NOT WORKING.i tried using youcam n lenovo web cam but no help.also the driver for this computer is also not displayed on your hp site. i'm currently using windows7 as os.

I just purchaes an HP Envy 17t-j100 select edition notebook. I am trying to hook up a second monitor. The monitor is not the issue it works fine with the other laptops in the office however when i plug it into this one it wont recognize it and the screen on the second monitor just says cable not connected. I have a cord that is HDMI to plug into the computer and a VGA on the other side to plug into the monitor.

I RECENTLY UPGRADED MY HP MINI FROM WIN 7 TO WIN 8.1. SOME OF MY APPS WON'T DISPLAY OR OPEN AT ALL. I RECEIVE A MESSAGE OF.... MY RESOLUTION IS TOO LOW. WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE IT THERE ISNT A HIGHER OPTION AVAILABLE. WHAT CAN I DO?

My HP Pavilion g6-1301tx Notebook PC 4gb RAM is 2 years old,My original OS was Windows 7 Home basic 64 bits then i changed it to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.

 

 

ERROR......................

 

In device manager under display adapter there are two GPUs i.e. Intel Hd graphics 3000 its alright and Standard VGA graphic adapter which contains error (this Device cannot start code 10). I tried to update the driver in device manager itself but it tells ( Windows found the driver for the device but unable to install), I even tried windows update there it shows the driver update but whent i try to install it shows error Code 80070002.

Because of this im unable to play games and watch hd videos in my laptop.

 

Please some one help me to solve this problem.

Hi, web cam stopped working after Win 8.1 update.

In device manager TrueVision Hd device works properly, and windows says that drivers are up to date, and so steps in a link above are useless for me. Meanwhile Cyberlink You Cam says that my cam is not installed. What should i do? Maybe i need to revert back to win 8 (from win 8.1). How can i do tihs?

Hello people; my screen dims pluged in to wall outlet. On battery the screen is bright. Its working backwards, I  have alot of of day's where every thing works backwards , some of you know what i mean lol   mike

HI, I AM NEW HERE AND ITS MY FIRST TIME EVER I AM USING HP DESKTOP. FIRST LET ME GIVE YOU MY MODEL NUMBER OF MY HP DESKTOP. ( HP ENVY 23-KO10ee ) AND PRODUCT NUMBER IF REQUIRED IS ( E8R92EA#B1S ). WELL I LIKE MY HP DESKTOP A LOT AND I THINK ITS ONE OF THE LATES DESKTOPS HP HAS ON THE MARKET. ISSUE IS WHEN I CONNECT MY HDMI CABBLE TO MY HP DESKTOP THROUGH THE TV PORT AND THEN I PRESS THIS SMALL BUTTON ON MY HP DESKTOP WHICH IS UNDER HDMI IN LOGO, THEN SCREEN GOES COMPLETE BLACK FOR LIKE 2 SEC AND THIS IS THE MESSGAE I GET ALL THE TIME ( GAME MODE NO VIDEO SIGNAL ) . SO I WOULD BE GLAD IF YOU HELP ME SOLVE MY PROBLEM. I REALLY HATE IT WHEN IT NOT WORKING BECAUSE ITS A NEW DESKTOP AND A VERY EXPENSIVE ONE. PLS HELP. THANKS.

I have a HP g56 notbook pc and its ran great for years. Though this afternoon when i tried to get onto it to watch a few videos the screen started to shake and strange colors appeared making it impossible to do anything on the pc.

 

Ive gone through this forum and done all the reccomended steps.

 

Uninstalled my drivers and restarted computer. - this worked briefly then it started again.

 

Connected an external display device - Main laptop screen still shakes but the external display was fine.

 

Booted into bios menu - from here nothing shook the bios menu stayed in one place and there where no problems.

After booting from bois i havent had the screen shake (as of yet, figured id come post here while i can still see!) was just wondering what might be causing it?

i just bought  this hp pavillion15 pc notebook pc 15-n203tx ,,,, with 4gb ram,intel core i5 4th gen,and amd radeon  8670m 2gb graphics ..while playing games the screens are not full,even for those games which are preinstalled,they are cutoff from left and right....

 can't understand whats wrong,,,, please need help

Hello, I am a new forum user and need assistance with an issue I'm having with my notebook.

 

I have a Envy TouchSmart m6 Sleekbook k015dx that is experiencing video driver issues. The driver does not load because there is a "Code 43" error and I cannot seem to find a way around this. I tried reinstalling the driver; no avail. Tried Intel's website for new drivers; nothing. I can't seem to get my driver to work and until I do, I have no HDMI output, basic video rendering and paltry 3D accelleration. Here are screenshots from device manager:\

I haven't had this lovely laptop for more than a year and I have only one issue with it. Whenever I am in something that is full screen and I ALT+TAB out of it, these lines appear. They are horizontal and move up and down, distorting the screen for about 30 seconds, making it nearly impossible to see anything in the background. I tried installing the new graphics drivers and BIOS driver, but I cannot think of anything more myself.

On my HP laptop (Pavilion dv6) I've got 2 graphic cards. Intel r HD graphics family 3000 and Radeon HD 6770m. But after I reset the computer (format), it doesn't detects the Radeon HD 6770m. When i try to install the driver with "AMD Auto Detect" It says "We can't find your graphics card." Please help me.

Hello,

 

I recently updated the driver of my ATI RADEON HD5650 to the latest stable version  from AMD website (14-4-mobility-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql). This helped me to run newest games, but i can't adjust screen brithness anymore.

f2 and f3 buttons doesn't change anything and i also tried changing brightness from power management menu.

 

To have brightness adjusted like i want, i must configure it on power management menu by scrooling the bar to the level i want then restarting windows to make it take effect on startup!

 

All this happened after driver update.

Hello,

I have Envy Touchsmart.

 

When trying to use the web cam, the laptop always defaults to the integral cam and not the external one.

 

External one loads up ok and can be but as soon as I load the cam it defaults back to integral one.

 

External cam is also HP, drivers installed.

 

On cam settings the ext cam is identified and highlighted but will not work as main cam ..... 

 

Any guidance appreciated

My tv tuner INTEX IT-TV 150 FM plays only audio. The screen turns totaly white with no video signal. When calling the supporting staff at INTEX, they told me to install HP Paviion dv4 video driver. Could this be the solution? If so, where could I find the video driver? Please Help...
