Hello to all,
I have a problem with my HP 15 - n086sl .
With native Windows 8 did not.

the problem is the following :
moving from windows 8 to 8.1 I lose the switch graphics cards.
I mean : if I click with the mouse on "configure switchable graphics cards " I get out of a window that says " Unable to start Catalyst Control Center. currently there are no other settings to configure with CCC"

I tried to update the drivers with the ones on the HP site for windows 8.1 , but nothing changes .
From " Device Manager " I noticed that the drivers you have installed AUTOMATIC moving from windows 8 to 8.1 are the same version as on the hp website .

If I install the drivers from the AMD website I have the following problems :

the switch returns to work but hibernation no longer works and if the screen of the PC goes into standby by moving the mouse or pressing both buttons it never recovers . I have to turn off the computer by holding down the button.


I've done several searches for the web, even within the forum but have not found the solution.

Will you help me ?

HI,

I have a Hp pavillion g6-2016tx

 

Is there any way by which i can permanently disable my intel hd 4000 graphics and use the driver provided by amd ( and not by Hp ) so that the radeon HD 7670m is used at all times ?

Hello folks.

 

I am having a trouble with my laptop pavilion g6 2090ej.

I got it with win 7 and soon enough upgraded to  to win 8 days a few days ago.

Now my issue is that even tho i do install catalyst driver from AMD/ATI and in programs like speccy it shows that i have

a simple board and ati 7600 card... it doesnt do the switch when i want to go and play a game.

now this isnt a gaming pc but previesly i could run battlefield 3 on med/high settings with 30 fps but now i can barely run any game.

 

also the laptop turned in to over heating a lot , no clue whats bugging it , its only 2 months old and worked fine till now. 

 

any sulltutions would be appriciated.

i have to use win8 driver not win8.1

size of this files is so different

one of thems292mb and other one 480mb

I have a Pavilion g6-2365ea with AMD Radeon HD 7640G graphics.

I have been searching for a way to change contrast for some time now, as the constrast is far to high and it is difficult to distinguish between white and other pale colours. However, after browsing these forums and going deep into the laptop's settings, I still can't find a solution specific to my product.

If anyone knows of any way to change the display contrast, please reply, as I'm sure I'm not the only person with this problem. Thank you in advance! :)

Hello, 

 

I have an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop and when I boot up the laptop, it immediately boots up to a white screen with vertical lines. I tried connecting the laptop to an external monitor however nothing appears on the external monitor via the vga cable and I tried the HDMI cable as well with no success. 

 

One day I decided to remove the battery, and boot up the laptop with just the power adapter plugged in and the laptop was able to boot up fine with no white screen and I was able to log on to Windows. So I tried booting up the laptop with the battery again (with power adapter plugged in) and it immediately went to the white screen, then I tried just booting laptop with the battery (without the power adapter), and I still got the white screen. So I have not been able to get to the Windows 7 log on screen with the battery in the laptop.

 

So it looks like I am able to avoid having laptop boot up to the white screen when I remove the battery, I recall my laptop booting up to the white screen a couple of times when the battery was removed, so I would say 90% of the time my laptop display works fine with just the power adapter plugged in andbattery removed.

 

Would you say there is an issue with my laptops video card or display? I have tried updating the drivers, but windows says I have the latest drivers.

 

Can it be the battery? I don't think it would be however its strange that when I remove the battery my display works fine. I haven't purchased a new battery yet to determine if inserting a new battery will resolve the issue.

How do I turn on my integrated webcam?  I have a hp dv6 and I have the cyberlink youcam program.  When I open the program an error message pops up that says the following: "No webcam detected.  Try plugging in a webcam into your computer now.  If you are using an integrated camera make sure that it is turned on."  I have been searching for a way to turn it on but havent found it

Hi! I have HP Mini 110-4100. My RAM is now 2gb and my video card driver is updated. How can I adjust the memory set up for my video card if there is no advanced tab on my BIOS? I want to do this because my online game is running in slow motion when my internet connection is fast? Hope someone from HP Support helps me. Thank you.

I have a spectre envy 14 and the monitor has suddenly started to show some coloured lines, usually pink on the top right hand side of the screen.

 

On most instances it's not noticeable but in certain programs and colour shades it become way more apparent!

 

Sometime if I gently push the back of my monitor screen the colour will fade for a moment.

 

This fault has occurred just a few months outside of my 12 month warranty...

I was wondering is there any dismantling guides for the my laptop screen and where can I find a replacement monitor.

 

All I can find online is the whole monitor section which costs about €300.
But I just want to replace the actually screen not the whole section with logo and gorilla glass.

 

 

What are my options?

I cant adjust my screen brightness. Fn+f2, f3 show the brightness bar at the dimmest point and doesnt make any change. The manual way of going through Control Panel then display, personaisation also doesnt work. I am running Win 7 Pro registered version. This si really annoying and strains my eyes to the point that i just cant work. Please give me a fix. Thanks for reading.

This is an old 17 inch HP DV7 1299eb; Very good system but a little wobbling of the lid/screen makes it go blank; You can restore it by closing the lid and very quickly opening it again to > 90 degrees; helps most of the time but very annoying problem. Also very strange. What could be the cause and has anyone else encountered this ?

 

I hope someone could refer me to a solution or to find out the cause of this. Is there any test I can do ?
