when I go to start and seek webcam not displayed... Is there something a program to download it to have access to the webcam?

Display driver

NVIDIA display driver issue:
The first time the issue occurred was last Thursday. The issue is that the NVIDIA display driver unexpectedly makes the screen flicker and then turn blackWhen this happens, I turn off the computer by pressing the power button then turn the computer back on and as a result colored lines start appearing all over the screen. However, the computer recovers in the process by saying that the, "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, version 331.65 stopped responding and has successfully recovered."
I have tried many times to solve this issue by going to the HP website to download and update the display driver and yet the issue still occurs. Anyone know how I can completely fix this problem. Thanks! :)

Flickering horizontal line on Envy dv7 laptop
A few days ago, a thin horizontal line began appearing in the lower portion of my sc!reen on my Envy dv7 laptop. The line flickers in various pastel colors and is very annoying. I purchased the unit in January of last year (2013) so it's out of warranty. Running windows 8.0 with Intel i5 processor. I checked the BIOS screen by tapping the f10 key upon start up and the line doesn't appear. I don't have another monitor to plug in so I can't run that test. I would appreciate any suggestions! Do I need to download a new graphics driver, and if so, which one? Thank you!

switched my laptop to external projector and my laptop went and stayed blank

Used my laptop with an InFocus LCD projector. When I disconnected the projector I have a blank screen. I reconnected the projector and that screen is blanks as well. Tried solutions listed on forum - none worked. Looked up in HP manual online and no solution there either. Please advise how to get screen display back. I thought it was the projector however the projector works fine on other laptops. Very confused.

Pink/blue lines on laptop screen
my laptop has several pink lines appearing since 2 days ago....i have still 1 month of warranty....is this an physcial damage
??....if not can i go under warranty???
if suppose customercare people say that u had did some thing to screen then what should i say to them because i don't know how they are formed.....please help!!!!

Function keys - F2 and F3 not working.
I purchased HP Pavilion 15-n209TX Laptop this year and the functions keys were working properly. But, later on from 10th of May 2014, they are not working! I checked whether there was a software due to which it was happening, but, I didn't install any kind of software which can harm the functioning of the keys. I am really struggling with very low brightness. The latest thing I did was - windows update - which installed the following softwares
Microsoft Silverlight
Also, I installed HP Quick fix.
Whenever I press F2 or F3, it just shows the slidebar (it doesn't go up and down though) and when I click on the top of the slidebar, nothing happens again. I also tried to go to the brightness option in the Windows Mobility Centre and tried to adjust the brightness - but nothing is happening.
Please help me out with this issue.

HP dv6700 CTO Black screen on Laptop.. works fine with external displays
I have this dv6700 CTO in 2007. Everything is fine except the display for about a year now. The screen displays fine on log on and then in a few minute flickers and then end!! I can get my screen back some times by changing the presentation mode ...
The display works fine when nothing is touched for a longer period of time and when the display screen is shaved due to movement of laptop its gone.
What is the solution to this issue?

Connecting Pavilion g6 laptop with second monitor (Samsung as well as Dell) at work doesn't work
Dear HP,
I work for a digital agency. We provide web development and online marketing services. When I want to connect my HP Pavilion g6 laptop to a second monitor this doesn't work. I've tried it with a Samsung monitor as well as a Dell monitor, but both times it didn't solve the problem(s). The laptop contains the following hardware/drivers:
AMD Radeon HD 6470M / 6630M driver 8.862.4.0
Mobile Intel HD Graphics driver 8.862.4.0
Intel Display Audio driver 6.14.0.3074
Catalyst Control Center version 2011.0701.2226.38454
With the Samsung monitor, the laptop crashes after connecting to this second monitor. With the Dell monitor, the screen of this second monitor stays black. This is only in the "extend monitor mode" (so not in the duplicate mode).
I would like to ask the following questions:
1. Did this problem occur more often?
2. What can I do to solve this problem?

Pavilion G6 Problem! Please Help!
Hi,
Eariler today I was using my laptop when the screen flashed a bit and turned off, from there I havent been able to turn it back on.
When I press the power button, the light for the power button stays on, the screen stays blank and the capslock button flashes once every 4 seconds. The fan sometimes turns on, but only for a few seconds.
I've tried taking out the battery, holding down the power button for 30-60 seconds, all that without success.
I think that it might be a CPU not being fuctional, which I found out after a bit of looking around.
I haven't been able to get any more infomation on this, so I've come here, hopefully you can help me out a bit.

HP Envy Touchsmart m7-j010dx WIndows 8.1 Touch screen doesn't work sometime
Hi
i just recently bought this Laptop and it was working fine and the reason i bought this laptop was coz i like using touchscreen when doing my assignments and all.
However when i am using the laptop after sometime when i try to use the touch screen there is no response and i need to restart my Pc to get the touch work.
Can you please advice as this thing is really annoying and plus its kinda embaressing when i try to touch my screen infront of others and i dunt get any response LOL

Different native screen resolution after LCD replacement
I recently had my HP Pavilion DV7 laptop screen replaced after it got a crack in it. It was sent to HP for repair and it came back yesterday with a brand new screen on it, exactly like my old one. While the physical screen looks the same as the old one, when I booted it up, it was in a totally different resolution. On the old screen that got broken, the native (maximum) resolution was 1600x900. However, on the new one, the native (maximum) resolution is 1920x1080. I am still able to switch back to 1600x900, but when I do the text becomes fuzzy. I suppose I could just use the 1920x1080, but it would take a long time to get used to it, especially since I've been using 1600x900 for two years. So my question is, why is there a different native resolution and is there any way to fix the fuzzyness with 1600x900? I don't understand why any of this is happening, because the screen looks exactly like my old one, same size and everything. I don't know of any software changes that took place either, all that was messed with to my knowledge was the physical display.

Screen problem with Compaq Presario CQ 61-409SL (Windows 7)
Lately my Compaq Presario CQ 61-409SL's screen has a strange behaviour:
when I turn the computer on, the screen turns on as well, but when windows starts, it turns off after a couple of seconds. If I connect it to another monitor through the HDMI cable, the laptop's screen turns on for a couple of seconds, then turns off again, while the external monitor stays on. If I unplug the HDMI cable, again the laptop's screen turns on for a while and then off again. I tried to remove the laptop's battery but nothing changes. I downloaded and installed the updated drivers from HP support website, but nothing changes.
Can anybody help me solving this problem?

HP Pavilion dv7 TrueVison HD camera and mic have stopped working
My laptop comes with a HP TrueVision HD camera and mic. But both of those have stopped working for some reason and the computer does not even show that it has the same. How do I solve the problem please?

Hp Envy Touchsmart Sleekbook 4 touch screen stopped responding
Hi, The model of the computer is HP Envy Touchsmart Sleekbook 4 4-1195ca
My issue is with the settings or drivers. I know the touchscreen works. It just became unresponsive two days ago out of the blue. I'll save you some time: It says it does not have pen and touch features (anymore) so there is no option to enable it.
I'm thinking a driver somewhere is corrupted. It is under warranty though I don't want to resort to sending it in or wiping the hard drive.

Second monitor?
NEW HP 15-B153NR Pavilion Touchsmart laptop.
Functioning Emachines 19" monitor with VGA input (tested on working desktop)
NEW HDMI to VGA cable
When hooking up second monitor to laptop, monitor is black. Says no connection. I cannot get a picture on it.
I updated to Windows 8.1, then came here and updated ALL drivers. Still nothing. Just checked Windows Update, no new updates available. I can safely assume this is not a driver or software problem. I can safely rule out hardware as I have 2 identical cables, 2 identical monitors and 2 identical laptops. I have mixed & matched them all together to no avail.
I also spent 45 minutes looking on HP's website for a phone number to call for support. I had no success there either, unless I want to pay extra for it.
Please help, this is VERY disheartening and I believe will be the basis for a product return if I cannot get this resolved.

HDMI not working
HI, I am having an issue with the HDMI. When I plug in the HDMI chord nothing happens. I know the chrod works fine; it works with my PS3. When I first installed windows 8.1 the hdmi worked fine. A few days later, the HDMI had no option in the Nvidia control panel. I hae tried installing the newest driver for the graphics card as well as re-installing windows.

I have also updated the drivers for the realtek audio options. Yet nothing works. I have tried to force find the tv but yet that doesnt work either. When I plugged the the HDMI chord into the port; it does not get reconized.
Can somebody please help me as I am out of options for this.

I have tried System Restore to a date before these errors started to occur, but this did not solve the
problem.
While checking for the latest video drivers, I noticed that Windows Device Manager shows two graphics cards ("beeldschermadapters"):
AMD RADEON HD 6750M (driver version 8.832.0.0)
AMD RADEON (TM) HD 6720G (driver version 8.832.0.0)
Is it possible that this is causing the blue screens and/or does my laptop really have both these products on board? And of not, how do I find out which product is the correct one?
Does anyone know what further actions I can take to fix this problem?

Ho to Install Nvidia Graphic Driver ?
I bought a HP ENVY 15t-j100. It had Nvidia Graphic before I re-establish the OS(Windows 8).
But after I trying to re-Install the Nvidia graphic driver, it says that there might be a hardware issue.
Finally when I'm trying to auto update drivers, it finds the Intel graphic driver instead of Nvidia. Please some one help me to install Nvidia Graphic driver to my Notebook. :mansad:
