I'm a developer and would really like to use two external monitors. The notebook got one HDMI and one miniDisplayport. Can I use them for a dual screen setup with my notebook screen shut down? The notebook has Intel Core i7 with integrated graphics (4400). The two monitors use 1920x1200 resolution. I currently use just one but if it works I want one more.

My laptop ( HP pvilion g6 running wndows 7) is tempermental with connecting to my external tv sometimes.
The extenal monitor has worked through the laptop on many occasions ( even last night).
It seems that whenever I shut down my laptop it cannot connect to the external sreen.
I try and press the F4 button ( to change screen from laptop to external) but that doesn't work anymore. It doesn't seem to identify the screen and for some reason whenever this hapens I cannot put my laptop in sleep mode either.
I eventually get round it by turning my laptop on and off several times but this is a bit of a nuisance. Any ideas on how I can get around this?

my Problem is at installing amd driver pc freezes
Specifically when the screen turned black, if normal it will back again
but in my case it freezes on black screen,
i reinstalled windows 8, 8.1 and even seven but the same problem
i tried the last 5 version and all freezes the pc
when i use the gpu-z it gives me Random numbersis notrealistic

I have a new hp pavilion laptop with windows 8. Looking to see if I can connect a flight simulator via hdmi cable to laptop and the laptop to my 70 inch big screen tv
My HP envy 6 sleekbook 1100se has a screen problem that at the top left side of the screen there is a white patch and it appears everywhere not just a specific program. Wierd coloured lines also start appearing in the centre of the screen. Please tell me a solution and according to HP warranty check, the warranty is applicable until july 26 2014. Also tell me where to claim HP's international warranty in Pakistan or UAE.
Earlier this week (4 days ago), the screen of my notebook tx2635 (serial no. CNF8470P86) went blank. Today, 9th May 2014, my wife's dv2278 (Serial no. 2CE7021VK2) in another part of the house, the screen also came up blank on start up.
I've unplugged and removed the battery, then started up again with no result.
This is extremely strange - 2 HP computers at about the same time!
I'm typing this on a Toshiba laptop. Let's hope that doesn't go the same way.
Is there a solution please?
I cant setup Intel video driver because it says "your computer is not minimal configureted for this driver"
When im trying to use AMD driver with another intel driver it dont work and crashes with erors.
Im sure I download the right intel driver 64 bit from HP site and my system 64 bit but it dont whant to instal on my notebook, please help me.

and has windows 8 x64 bit installed on it
i would like to get this working so i can play games without them crashing because my graphics driver is out of date and when i try to install a new one it tells me my computer doesnt meet the requirements when it does
oh i forgot to mention im using
Windows 8 x64 bit Pro
not the regular version
that may help shed some light on the problem
oh also i have 8GB of ram

hello i have a problem with my display.
my screen has a wide veritical line about 2 inches in width on the middle left side of my screen caused by a light fall on the ground. if i press on the buttom of the screen on where the line ends it flickers to other colors such as black white grey and sometimes green red and blue stripes fromt the pixels i'm guessing. and now my screen doesnt project while lights normaly whenever theres a white or light color on my screen for example this page, horizontal lines of grey appear and keep going down, many in a row and doesnt stop. do i need to change the whole screen or can i take it for repair because i have heard that it might be caused by a fallen part or a part thats not in place corectly. your answer would be much appreciated thanks.
Hi Im looking for the help with my Pavilion Touchsmart11 Notebook PC.
The performance is really poor. Even when i updeted to windows 8.1 any video streaming from youtube or other web based aplication are slow and stoping very often.
I notice that usage of CPU is almost continous 100% when im using google chrome or internet explorer. My norton internet security very often report high cpu usage. Its new notebook with AMD Dual -core A4 1250 and is reall slower then my old two years smartphone . i check all the viruses , using HP assisent for latest updetes etc.. is it really poor performance nootebook.
what can be wrong . ? please for any help becouse im luck of ide to check... the system is 8GB memory. and is really enoying that you can not watch youtube videos properly ..:-(

recently i bought hp pavilion touchsmart 14-b114ee laptop. i made a clean install of windows 8 professional 64 bits and found that the display has got around 2 inch completely black margins all over as i was unaware if it was same before while buying.i tried to fix it.Updated display drivers and all the drivers, changed the resolutions to its maximum and experimented with other resolution options too but nothing solved.finally i went to the shop where i bought and got the reply that the product is having the inbuilt dark margins all over and i returned back.I was surprised how that could be possible as its really weird to see the display like that.Actually the dark margins is there even in the prebootloading and exists all the time.i am still unaware whether it is a problem or the product comes with inbuilt dark margins.

ive got an HP Pavilion 17-e146us Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR). ive had for about two weeks. I have been just watching netflix and youtube, playing games and random other things with it. about a week ago i was watching netflix and at first the screen would intermittenly flash lines of different colors across 75% of the screen to where i could still see part of the movie. then a few days later the screen would intermittenly go completely black for a few seconds while watching netflix. i noticed the screen would act up sometimes, while watching a movie, when i would move the screen to a different angle. i have another laptop that i watch nextflix on as well and it has no problems so its not netflix acting up. what could this be, would this be cover under warranty and what should i do to fix it?
I was having terrible difficulty playing any games on my expensive "gaming laptop" from hp because they don't update their drivers in the support section. Downloading drivers directly from radeon does not work! I finally found a solution that works beautifully. I went from having 10fps in HAWKEN to 50fps after updating the drivers to the newest version! Go Here
http://leshcatlabs.net/ look for their cataylst 14.4 whql unifl driver download i can guarentee that one works on 6490m with Catalyst Control Center fully working and also updates your integrated intel drivers too. I'm sure if your looking at this post in the future and leshcat has updated past 14.4 it will still work. I wish someone would have told me to just use these 4 hours ago... One thing to note is that under device manager my radeon comes up as 7400m series but hell I'm not going to worry about that for 50fps, Anyway enjoy!
Edit* Oh yea don't forget to set your games to use the radeon graphics instead of intel power saving graphics. You have to do this in Catalyst Control Center power options
