My HP Notebook is Pavilion g4 1016TX with build in OS Window 7 Home Basic 32Bit

When I install Window 8.1 Pro 32Bit on my notebook,ATI Radeon HD 6470M is not working when i installed it from device manager.After that,the computer restart of some error and only Intel HD Graphic 3000 is supported not AMD or ATI.Please help me with this.I want to use AMD or ATI Graphic card instead of Intel on window 8.1 pro 32Bit.

When i search the web about this problem,only 64Bit Driver are available,not 32 Bit.Please help!!!

And also I have also tested with latest AMD Mobility Beta Driver,installation is completed but not fully worked.

I want to use window 8.1 pro 32 bit with AMD Switchable Graphic

Finally,window 8.1 install graphic driver automatically and my switchable graphic driver is worked.

But,The Device manager and dxdiag show my 6470M(original) with other one,7400M Series.

Also brightness button and screen adjust brightness is not working anymore when changing to AMD Graphic card.

Please Help!!!

Since Windows XP Support expired, I bought and installed new Windows 8.1 in my wife's Notebook. Now almost every item would not start, claiming that display has lesser accuracy than recommended 1024 x 768. When I tried to find better driver, there was no option for windows 8.1 as operating system. I wonder whether there is a way to go about by reducing video requirement for using W8 programmes - or better driver, e.g. WDDM 1.1. Further would you advise to attach an external screen to the Notebook (seem to have only VGA out).

I love my chromebook but it has stopped charging totally. There is no "light" on - on the side - when I connect the power cord to the chromebook. I've left it charging for an entire day. Power is not connecting to the chromebook. 

 

Any suggestions? I bought this chromebook from walmart with the free wifi for life on it.

Hi

 

I have spent hours trying to upgrade the AMD driver on my g7-1251si, which has a 6470m graphics card,running windows 7 32bit.

This is what i have come up with so far:

 

-I cannot use AMD's latest driver because my graphics card is in dynamic mode which means the the driver isnt an original version from AMD but a modified version that HP stopped supporting in 2011

-Dynamic mode is useless for advanced users as you cant configure it to "always run" and it doesnt run openGL applications, which is basically everything, so I paid for a laptop with dedicated graphics, but im stuck with a laptop with  integrated graphics and a semi powerful dedicated graphics card being completely unused

-After reading alot, HP acknowledges the problem and suggests changing graphics mode to "fixed mode" in the bios so that you can actually use your deticated graphics card for more than just word(http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c02948560). THey also say that you must upgrade your bios, however I have tried upgrading my bios all the different versions I can find, but I am not able to see the mystical "switchable graphics mode" (see picture below)

Hi -- if anyone has this model, could you confirm the following concering the screen if it's the same panel: LGD03FB (PnP ID). My panel has white grid lines. It looks like your seeing everything through a grid. Just for this I'm debating about returning it. All of my other laptops (HP Pavillion, Dell Inspiron/Precision) and desktop monitors (u2413, 2405FPW, S2740L, View Sonic, etc..) have very fine dark/black lines which are hardly noticable. With this display, you can clearly see white (instead of black) gridlines. Looking at any solid background (except white) is even more prounouced, as the image looks like it was a puzzle with white edge pieces put together. I will say this, the viewing angles are pretty good, but the gridlines totally distract me -- does anyone else with the panel notice this too? I also bought the TouchSmart 17.3, which has the same panel, and I'll confirm that it's the same, but sort of looks worse with the glossy coating. Although I prefer the glossy coating (love my S2740L) but the panel itself on both of these laptops ruins it with the white grid lines.

I have an HP Zbook 15 which came with Windows 8.  In an attempt to upgrade to Windows 8.1, the update process didn't complete successfully as it was stuck on a blank screen for a long time.  The upgrade eventually rolled back on it's own and did not complete, leaving the OS and version Windows 8.

 

After a few weeks, I got an HP docking station - 682355-B21 and connected 2 monitors to it where my HP zbook 15 is docked.  I attempted for a second time to upgrade to Windows 8.1 and was doing this while the notebook was on the docking station.  This time the upgrade completed 'successfully'.  I noticed that one of my monitors after the upgrade was not displaying anything and looked further in the display setting to connect it and windows could not detect it.  I tried taking the notebook off the docking station and noticed that the screen was blank and not opening into windows 8.1 - same issue as the first attempt to update - just this time the update was complete, so the only was to work on my notebook was with the one screen on the docking station.

 

Looking into this further, I noticed the 'Inter HS Graphics 4600' in device manager had an exclamation mark.  Driver could not start and had an error (code 43).  Tried to update the driver by searching on the internet - this did not proceed because I had the latest drivers.  After speaking with Microsoft support, I swapped the driver by selecting the option to choose a driver from the disk and selected an older version.  This fixed the issue, docking station work with 2 monitors and notebook monitor also loads into windows 8.1 (no blank screen).

 

BUT - I have an issue.  the quality of the graphics - both on the monitors of the docking station (two HP EliteDisplay E231) as well as on the actual notebook monitor has decreased.  I notice that some images and text are a little blurry.  Someone who would see my notebook now might not notice that there is something wrong, but I know how my notebook graphics should display - as they were crystal clear with Windows 8 and not with 8.1.

Hi I bought HP 250 G1 laptop & installed windows 7(32bit) but i am not able to find the display driver for it. The one i found from hp drivers site named AMD high definition hd graphics driver is extracting al the drivers in c drive but there is no display driver in it. Please help me to get the display driver. I will be ever thankful.

I have an HP 2000 Notebook laptop and I'm having problems watching videos on YouTube. Ever though the laptop has a flash player already installed with Windows it's telling me I need to install Adobe flash player. I have followed all the directions to solve the issue but still have no solution

I have a new ZBook 15. I've only had problems with it so far. Here is an other:

When I leave my laptop on but have my lid closed for an extended amount of time, the screen experiences a "burn-in". As in, if supposedly I have Windows Explorer open and leave it like that in the configuration mentioned above, after closing it and opening up a dark image or something which makes the screen darker, I can see faint remnants of windows explorer window.

 

Is this normal? Or a hardware defect?

Hi,
I have HP Pavilion 15 n057. I bought it with win 8 and upgraded to 8.1.
After upgrading all the drivers, the "sleep" function broke down.
After some time I figured out it has something to do with AMD Catalyst Center and its integration with Intel Graphics 4400.
When both of them are installed, and you switch your laptp to sleep mode (by pressing the button or clicking this power option) - the screen goes black, the network button still on, the HDD is running (you can hear the sound), but the laptop does not respond.
You have to force power off.

Hello!

After installing the driver (link), video adapters are not defined correctly. In Windows 7, they are defined as:  
"AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Mobility Radeon HD 6470M"
and
"AMD Radeon HD 6470M."

 

But after installing Windows 8 as:
"ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1)"
and
"AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series".

And there is no way to configure the driver through the AMD Catalyst Control Center:

 

What could be the problem?

Hey, I tried updating my graphics drivers and it pooped on me. Now it's stuck with what looks like a safe mode view while it's not in safe mode. It's a HP Pavilion dv6 with beats audio and had "switchable graphics" can anyone point me in the direction of the original drivers or a driver I can use? Thank you in advance.

I have an Hp envy touchsmart 4 ultrabook 4-1215dx. Recently the screen will not turn on. When I press the power button the actual computer turns on, I can hear all the fans running and also the f5 and f12 wifi buttons light up as well as the cap locks key blinking. Just the actual screen stays black. Does anybody know how to resolve this issue?

After the machine downloaded and installed an HP update a couple of days ago the screen went blank and has never returned. The HD and other items are working. I ran a HDMI cable to a TV and no picture. Maybe it is not related to the update, but that is when it went dead.

Hi all! I have an HP ProBook 6565b with a DisplayPort instead of an HDMI. I purchased an adapter cable... DisplayPort for the laptop and HDMI for my Panasonic television. When I attach the cable to the laptop (HDMI connected to TV or not) the resolution on the laptop changes (everything gets really big). I plug in the HDMI end to my TV and there is no signal on the TV and no changes on the laptop (everthing still big).

 

My laptop (Control Panel / Sound) shows an AMD HDMI Output option... 'not plugged in'.

My device manager / display adapters shows an AMD Radeon (TM) HD 6520G.

 

How do I get the signal from my laptop to display on my tv/monitor (with sound)?

Where can I access settings for the DisplayPort? I seemed to be locked out of the control panel display section (can't change anything).

 

Any help would be appreciated!

hi i have a 3-4 year old year old HP pavilion dv7 running windows 7 and the screen has started to turn on and off by itself. sometimes it just flickers off then right back on but usually the screen goes black with no back lighting, the computer stays on,  and media continues playing in the background like normal. sometimes just tapping on the keyboard brings the screen back but most of the time i have to close the screen and open it back up. on rare occasions i have to restart the computer to get the screen back.

 

seems like something might be loose inside to be able to tap the keyboard and get the screen back but that wouldnt make sense as to why restarting gives the same results.

REALLY hope someone can help me with this....cant afford a new computer right now...thanks in advance!

Hi guys! Omg, please please please help. I couldn't have been put in a worse situation. Last month, my laptop screen had cracked. I was unable to see anything and I really need it for homework. Then I used my vga cord to hook it up to the tv and it worked fine! Hdmi cords too would Work perfectly and my laptop screen would be able to display on TVs and my old desktop computer.

Then my kids installed this online game that I think was giving my laptop viruses, because my laptop ran slower than usual. So I started uninstall programs off my laptop that looked unfamiliar to me. I came across this certain program, which I forgot the name because I didn't think itwas important to remember cause I was uninstalling it, and it was taking too long to uninstall so I canceled it.

That's when everything went down south. The screen went big and everything was like, super-sized. The icons, through background, the cursor, everything was big. But I could still see it on my TV. It's when I restarted my laptop that the vga/HDMI cords wouldn't Work! All my TV says is "No Signal". I put I'm a different HDMI cord, still not displaying my laptop screen on my tv. Tried hooking it up to 2 other TVs and it wouldn't Work.

I would be able to see what happened if my laptop screen wasn't cracked. So I'm basically screwed! Please someone, I'm so desperate right now. I'm low on money, I just got this laptop and the screen cracked already. I couldn't have had the worse luck. Can someone please tell me what program I might have tempered with and what can I do to fix this problem? The VGA/HDMI was all I had left to cute my laptop screen.

i need help ASAP

i have a HP laptop Pavilion G7 and its bean 2 years now that i have it and it was working awesome intill last night,

i turnd it off and it took longer to turn off it felted strange but i when to bead and when i turn it on today it took longer than usually, after a wile like wow 5 to 10 minutes the screen turnd on and window 8 started. im not shore if this is a Hardware problem that is starting or a windows 8 loading problem, i know for shore my friend is having problems with window 8 in his laptop as well but i dont know if its HP like my laptop.

well i hope you guys could help me

yestarday i finish updating my laptop and is up to date with drives and window update im curently using windows 8.1
 and is up to date. i dont know if this is the problem that i update the laptop.

I have a HP Pavilion dv5 Notebook PC recently when I close my laptop lid and open it back up I get a Windows Error Recovery on my screen and it has safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt and start windwos normally.

 

Any help on why this is happening?
