Hello, I have hp pavilion dv7 6b30ew notebook with Amd + Intel graphic card. I had a problem with switch of graphic cards in catalyst control center, so I download and instal unofficial driver from there http://leshcatlabs.net/2012/05/15/catalyst-12-3-up2-unifl-for-hybrid-graphics/

It worked few months and problem with graphic switch return. I wanted to instal official drivers from hp, but when I instaled 

this, instaler saying there is an errors. Driver was working, so i wasn't worried. Few days later my computer had "blue screen''. I thinked it was problem with driver, so i delete them and everything was okay. I instaled official driver again, but there was still errors. Driver is working, but I'm afraid ''blue screen'' will return. I heard it can be problem with old driver data on my computer so I used Driver Fusion to delete them. I tried to instal driver again, but there are still errors! What can I do now ? (sorry for my english)

Hello,

 

I have a HP Pavilion g series, Windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

i was working normally when suddenly  my screen turned blue and displayed a large text. i read only the begining of the text, saying something about an error, and if it was the first time this occurred , restart your computer....'

there was a larger text but i don't remember it all because it is lasted few seconds, and then show off  a line telling about a BIOS error,as far as i remember, but i m not pretty sure.

then the screen turned off, and now when i turned on laptop nothing occurs. the power light is on, the screen is black.

 

p.s. i took off the battery, unplugged the AC power, and pushed  the power button for more than 30 second.

I recently moved to Guatemala and it is important to me that I can Skype with my family back home, but recently my Webcam has stopped working. Skype does not detect a connection to the Webcam. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling Skype. I also tried to update my YouCam software. When I install the latest version of YouCam software available on the HP website for my laptop, an error message comes up, "Definition File Lost." When I click on the downloaded YouCam program, an error message comes up saying that the program cannot detect a connection to the Webcam. Please help to find the software I need or please identify any additional problems I may have with my Webcam. 

 

My laptop is Model: dm1z-4000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC

Product # LY133AV

Windows 7 64-bit

The error message during the YouCam software download reads: Definition File Lost

 

Please help so I can stay in touch with my family!

My pressario came with no HDMI connection, but it has the slot. Can I install one myself? I already use the monitor connector to my HDTV. But I want better quality. Is this possible?

I have an HP G60 laptop and prior to upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7, I could plug the HDMI cable into my Toshiba TV and then into my laptop and instant video on the TV. I finally took the plunge and upgraded it to Windows 7 and wanted to watch a TV show via my laptop on my TV. I plugged in the HDMI to the TV and to the laptop... no signal? I checked and it "sees" the Toshiba TV, but it won't send any video to it. I tried two different HDMI cables, to make sure they cable wasn't bad and the same thing. It recognizes the TV as another screen, but won't send video. This is driving me crazy, because I was in the middle of series and I want to see what happens! Please help! I spent an hour trying different things, looking up help tips, etc. and nothing worked.

Hi all,

I own an Hp Pavillion g6-1d6dx without a screen, I use my Tv as a screen. As far as the image and performance its great my problem is when I bought a replacement screen and hooked it up I got nothing. My friend, who is much mrore of a computer whiz than me and has owned the exact same computer says its something in the motherboard because the ribbon that connects to the screen looks fine. Any ides on what I should do?

No matter the quality, source, length or size of video, or which program I use to open it, the video becomes blocky and choppy after 3-5 minutes.  After I move around the mouse or resize the video, it begins to operate properly for another 3-5 minutes, and then does the same thing.  Any suggestions on how this might get flxed?

Hi ,

 

The brightness of the laptop is always in maximum i cannot reduce using the f2 , f3 key on windows 7 ultimate 64 bit .

It is working fine when i install ubuntu 12.04 . Please help its very annoying .

My LCD on my laptop suddenly went dim a few weeks ago. I replaced the LCD twice and cable but still a very dim screen. When I hookup to external monitor everything is perfect. Any one have any ideas on what else I can try?

I recently Bought my HP G4-2019tx core i5-3210

Its specs said that it had 2gb of dedicated Ati radeon 7670m, but the system showed 2560MB ofdedicated graphics.

 

It had 4Gb of RAM.

 

Now,

i have added another Kingston 4GB 1333MHz RAM and the system shows lesser (2304MB) dedicated graphics memory but the shared memory increased from ~1700MB to ~3700MB

 

Is it normal?

I have a HP envy dv6 with Windows 8 which has been frustrating to say the least. This computer is not touchscreen. I can not for the life of me get it to connect to my projector using an HDMI cable. Every single time I try to extend my desktop it will only work with a VGA cable. Am I missing something? A driver or switch I have to turn on. I can't find anything on this computer.

I have a HP pavilion dv6 2155dx. It powers up, the screen stays black, the wifi light/button does not respond and stays red, no caps lock light and I have tried the "hard reset" with no results. Please help.

Whenever I try to updated the graphics driver, I get this message:  "the driver being installed is not validated for this computer.  Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer."  I have tried both the hp website and the intel website and still can not get it to update.  I have a couple of programs that are asking for a driver update, but I can't figure out how to do it.  If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it....

Hello,

it's been a while since I've been using my HP laptop computer with switchable graphic between intell hd 4000 and Ati radeon 7670. I noticed that for example in Altium Designer, my PC does not switch to radeon card, despite the fact, that I created a rule for Altium Designer to use Radeon graphic card. I think, that my Pc never uses Radeon graphic card, or? Where can I see and monitor, which graphic card is in use? 

I also tryed to disable Intel 4000 graphic card in device manager, but then my resolution lowers and visualization in Windows is poor. If i try to run Catalyst control manager then, I get error, that no AMD drivers were found and that there is no settings to change or something like that. But I have drivers for Radeon graphic card installed, even updated. What could be wrong?

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Service Pack 1

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz

My hp pavilion dv7 gives me a black screen at startup and even when is connected to my HD TV via the HDMI. have tried several methods but still not working (taken the battery out and long pressing the power button and then using the AC adapter to power it on). Can someone help me solve this problem please.

Hello, I have installed Windows 8 a while ago, and I'm still trying to setup the drivers for the switchable cards.

I have a HP Pavilion DV6 3023ca with 64-bit operating systems.

 

Edit: The cards I have are:

Mobility Radeon HD 5650 and Mobility Radeon HD 4200.

 

It originally came with Windows 7, but I installed Windows 8 Pro + Media Center on a new partition, which I always use.

Windows 7 is used for backup, but the graphics cards work perfectly there, even though I've almost completely switched to Windows 8, because I find it MUCH better.

 

So I've tried hundreds of drivers from both AMD/ATI, and HP. I've tried custom ones made by other companies or groups.

None seem to work.

The 4200 works, but the 5650 is the one that never wants to work, it gives me the yellow warning triangle in the Device Manager and says:

 

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

Can someone please help? It will be well appreciated, as I can't play any of the new games I bought without having to switch to Windows 7, which after using Windows 8  for so long, it's impossible to use.
