Screen cable U83LC030
Hello,
My old laptop has no more bright on the screen. I discovered that with a flashlight I can see some video, but it has no bright. Since it's a little old and I understand something about it, I decided to open and saw that the cable is broken. I want to replace it, but I can't find the exact part number anywhere.
My question is: Is the cable U83LC030 (the one that is in my laptop) compatible with the U83LC020?
I only found the last one for selling.

Temporarily disable touchpad on HP 350 G1
I would like to temporarily disable the touchpad mouse on my computer, so that I don't accidentally click it while typing. However, I need to be able to turn it on again when desired. I've gone to the Mouse window from Control Panel, but cannot find this disable option there. Thanks in advance for your help.

My friends laptop PC is broken or bugged
My friends PC had a problem where It would not turn on So we did a hard reset. (taking out the battery and hold down the power button etc) When he turned it back on he said that it went to DVD player then strips of multicolored "pixels". Anyone got an answer to fix this? we have not tryed a full reset. im new to these forms so bear with me. If you need more info about his computer tell me. Thank you

my touch screen hasn’t been working
i’ve had this laptop for almost 3 1/2 years, and since the warranty expired, the touch screen has been going in and out. it wasn’t that big of an issue at first, because sometimes it would work after a restart.
today i needed to use the touch screen and decided to figure out what the issue was. i troubleshooted and it told me my 12C HID Device was messed up. i went to the device manager and the 12C HID Device has a yellow error triangle on it. when i tried to install an update, i was told that the most current version is installed. after going through a few forums, i figured out that a few drivers are disabled:
- HID-compliant pen
- HID-compliant touch screen
- HID-compliant vendor-defined device (three of these are disabled, only one is enabled)
- USB Input Device (not sure if these are part of the issue, but two are disabled and only one is enabled).
i have never gone and disabled anything myself. the closest thing i can think of was around 8 or so months after i got the laptop, i had to authorize a reset because my cousin did something. i never thought it was connected because it reset the entire laptop to factory settings, but around then is when i started having issues.

after i installed my windows 10 ( original CD) the drivers have been identified and working except HDMI connetion it is not working till now.
notes:
1-i tried many working HDMI cable with other laptop and with mine but mine still not working so there is no prob of the cable.
2- this my second windows installation ( first one kept working around 14 months ) and HDMI was working before , just not identified with the new windows installation !!!

Stuck with "Microsoft basic display adapter" after installing Windows 10 Pro on HP Pavilion Notebook
The laptop had Windows 10 Home basic as a factory install, but I have purchased Windows 10 pro from microsoft store.
I have upgeaded the Windows from Microsoft Store and downloaded and installed drivers from the HP support Website.
- The HP driver package for the Nvidia GEFORCE installs with no errors, but I am still stuck with the MS basic display adapter.
-I have no unknown devices, but any attempt to install the HP driver package completes error-free but fails to actually install the driver,
- Under device manager I see both Nvidia GeForce 940MX and intel(R) HD Graphics 520 but when I check the resolution on windows it freeze at 1366 x 768 pixels
- Please help me in getting resolution : 1920 x 1080 pixels

Processor .
Still same problem, when switching the power on the screen remain red orange, tried also to connect external monitor but no display.

black dots on screen
hello,
Ive had my laptop for about a month. And i have noticed black internal dots on the screen. I take very good care of my laptop, so im surprised they're there. Sometimes when writing on one note, the pen doesnt work smoothly, i assume its to do with the dots.

How can I change the primary AMD Radeon R7 Graphics for the linked AMD Radeon 535DX?
Hey guys,
I already read a lots of forums and infos about how can I change the primary GPUs, but I can not find any useful idea for it. I already tested every drivers, and it is not working yet. Is it possible to change?
At the moment I am using a driver from HP (sp93148 - AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver - Bristol Ridge -- Stoney Ridge (Windows 10 v1809)), but before it I used the Bristol Ridge driver (sp93148 - AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver - Bristol Ridge -- Stoney Ridge (Windows 10 v1809)) and it was worse.
I see the different between the 2 drivers is the "switchable graphics" menu, but there is none of option for it.
I already tried to switch everything to High Performance, but it is still not working. I checked GPU-Z as well, but I can see just that the laptop is not using the GPU just the APU
Can you help me about it?
Is it switchable or not?

Left hinge broken on HP Notebook
I was using my laptop and closed it and came back to it 10 minutes later. When I re-opened it, the left hinge all of a sudden cracked and broke and I cannot full open the device. I have never dropped it, and this issue is what happened to the
last HP laptop I had. Because of this issue in my last laptop, I got this one about a year ago and am surprised that it had such a malfunction.
From what I understand, this is a common HP-specific issue?

i have the Notebook HP 255 G6 with windows 10 and i cant watch movies with VLC
When i open an mp4 or avi or mkv file on VLC first it lags on opening and if it opens it plays choppy video with unsynchronized audio, the same happens with the MPC player, can it be a driver problem or this is all this laptop can do?
