I have tried connecting a 4k display acer cb241hqk to the hdmi port of this laptop and i do not have the option for 4k/60hz.
In the description of the product ( https://support.hp.com/ro-en/document/c05903028 ) it states: "HDMI 1.4b Supports resolution up to 4k at 60 Hz". I am using windows 10 pro
I am using a hdmi 2.0 cable, but from what i have read 1.4b only suports 4k/30hz as it has (10.2 G/s)
Am i doing something wrong or is the description incorect

My HP Notebook is now very laggy, it's so laggy to a point that it's unusable, the laptop is on 4 months old. I've tried everything I can. I even followed every step that the virtual agent gave me. I also did a factory reset. It's no good. It's really laggy.

I purchased an envy touchscreen laptop (13 inch) this summer. Since a few weeks, I realized that there was a little white dot on my screen, right in the middle (I don't know if it's been there since I bought it). It is the most obvious when there's a light/white backround. I tried updating the BIOS like it said in a answer on an HP server, but the dot is still there. I searched online and it seems it could be a pressure point...

The screen rotation and tablet mode switching on my HP Envy x360 laptop stopped working recently. In Device Manager, under USB controllers, there is an item listed as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)", which I assume is the sensor that detects the device position and allows for auto rotation and such. I have tried multiple times to reinstall this device, as well as all AMD software, all USB drivers, and checked for system updates, with no success. I have also checked for BIOS updates, but there are none newer than the one I have (F.08, dated 3/30/2018) that are compatible, even though they are listed for my model. This has happened before, and I assume it was due to compatibility issues with a Windows 10 feature update (I am on 1809), but it is becoming frustrating. Please help.

I have a strange problem.
I´ve been using an HDMI to USB-C cable, always using the left side port, without any trouble. Recently I´ve been away for a few weeks. I formatted the PC and updated the drivers (using Driver Easy), and everything seemed to work perfectly.
However, now I´m back and my left port doesnt seem to work for HDMI. When I move the same cable to the right one, it works perfectly on the display.
Everything else works correctly also on the left USB-C: I connected a USB Hub and my phone, and they work normally.
When I plug the HDMI to USB-C cable it seems to be recognized, as in the Device manager it appears a USB 2.0 Billboard.
But the projection options do not work.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

I have recently purchased a HP Pavilion 15-p005ax and have tried setting it up to run games such as Skyrim and Call of Duty. The main problem that I am encountering is that none of the games I have tried have recognized or used the 2GB AMD Radeon R7 M260
i have tried to set these games at high performance by amd crystal control panel....but no results.......

Webcam not centered from the factory. Only see half the image. How do I correct this issue?
Whenever I try to stream a video online, no matter the platform, it is zoomed in. I cannot make out anything on the video.
I have read on this forum about maximising performance in the Powerplay settings and restarting the laptop, however this did not work.
I am just wondering if there are any other solutions people have tried that have worked as it can be very frustrating as i rely on my laptop to stream.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not the most tech savvy guy, so I'm stuggling to understand why my HP Envy might be lagging for seemingly no reason. My computer lags consistently when running some relatively small programs but will run just fine when running beefier, more resource intensive programs.
The best example I can give of this is Skyrim and Minecraft. I am able to run Skyrim smoothly on ultra settings without a fuss but Minecraft will struggle to render 2 FPS with all settings turned right down and no background apps running. I checked Task Manager while each of these programs were running and each had plently of computer resources to spare (Skyrim uses about 50% CPU and 30% Memory when running, but Minecraft wont go over 30-40% even with more resources allocated).
Any kind of assistance will be greatly appreciated as this issue is really quite frustrating.

My touchscreen isn't working after Windows 10 64 bit upgrade. It doesn't show under the DEVICE MANAGER either under HUMAN INTERFACE section. I can't find the driver anywhere and can't get it to work. Could someone tell me what driver I could use to get this back working? Under the system setting it shows NO PEN OR TOUCH under that section.
I have an older HP Elitebook, it does not have an HDMI port so have purchased a VGA plug to connect to an external monitor, but this will not work, any suggestions?

I have a HP Envy 13 that I'm trying to connect to my HP Elite Display E223 - 21.5inch but the display keeps saying "inactive".
I'm using a USB c to HDMI dongle and the computer detects the display as display #2 but nothing will show up on the screen. All drivers are up to date and I downloaded the Elite 223 driver as well and HP display assistant but still nothing.
I'm thinking the issue is with the dongle that I have purchased from Amazon.
Does anyone know if there is a specific type that I need to purchase?

I set my PC display light turn off time as 10mins, the light turns off 10mins later ifi do nothing,
then i want to wake up my display but nothing happens even i click keyboard or push power button. I have to push my power button for more then 5 seconds to turn off my PC everytime.
i updated intel Graphics driver and BIOS ,reset power option settings, but does't work.

I have called the HP phone support and they told me that the displayport does support video. So I have bought an adapter cable USB-C 3.1 to HDMI, but it won't work. The monitors both work well on the HDMI port. I read on a previous thread that the displayport is not thunderbold, thus it does not support video. Is that true? If so, what other solutions are available to me to be able to connect this laptop to two HDMI monitors. I have to work with it, please help.
I have had this problem since I purchased the Laptop. When I connect to an external screen through the HDMI slot on the laptop it causes both screens to flash on ands off. I don't recall if I upgraded to WIndows 10 or if it came installed. I have seen some articles that there was an issue with Norton that will cause this on a windows 10 upgrade but I don't have Norton on my laptop. The cables/monitor all worked on another laptop.
