My Spectre 360 Intermittently does not project to a separate monitor
My laptop is not able to detect a secondary monitor. Used to be able to do it, But now it happens intermittently.
I have tried two different monitors with two connectors — still the same issue.
I have tried duplicating display, extended display and second screen only. All does not work at all
Tried going to the "detect" display. Does not work at all.

Issue with Key words
Hai,
I have HP I3 650 lap top. [serial number removed] Product No 1WY08EA#BH5.
Some features of key words are not working well, i have to press hard to appear while working. Below are the seven key words.
B, Caps lock, N, =, Delete, 7.

Severe screen flickering at low brightness - HP Pavilion 15-cb027nl
Hello there, this is Simone from Italy.
It's been a couple of days until my laptop display started to insanely flicker when I lower the brightness under 40%.
I'm going to explain it: I purchased my laptop in December 2018 and has always worked fine. Then, one day I was using it and the screen started to flicker for no reason: I tried to change the brightness and I noticed that everything was working fine if I kept it higher than 40% (more or less). I was freaking out (a €1200 pc with such a problem) and I tried EVERY POSSIBLE driver uninstall and update, unsuccesfully: finally I decided to upgrade to the latest Windows 10 big update. After that, everything worked fine but I couldn't figure out what caused the issue.
Yesterday, I was using my pc (I was programming, not playing games or doing anything weird) when it started to flicker again in the same exact way and I had to rise the brightness to be able to use it without becoming blind. The only problem is that now I'm becoming blind because I am forced to use a very high brightness at night and it's really driving me crazy.
I obviously tried EVERY POSSIBLE FIX suggested by HP techicians in this forum but the problem is still there: I tried updating video drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling them, checking for updates within Windows Update, disabling and re-enabling both my video cards (Intel HD Graphics 630 and Nvidia GTX1050), booting into safe mode but I couldn't resolve the problem.
I'm literally desperate and I have no idea about what to do next: I really don't want to send my laptop to HP Assistance because I absolutely need it and I'm pretty sure that this is a software problem and not a hardware one. The completely random

Hi. Can anyone please teach me how to use the fingerprint sign in and keyboard backlit. I don’t have a fingerprint scanner but I can see the fingerprint sign in on the options also i’m hoping that my laptop has a keyboard backlit because I read it from the specs before buying. Thanks everyone

HP Spectre x2 Detachable 12 Screen Flickering!
I've bought Spectre X2 and started to experience issue with screen flickering :-(
Google it and found that it is very common issue with Intel Graphics and X2
Reproduced very easy by scrolling graphics content within Browser or just by moving window through desktop.
I've tried to disable Panel Self Refresh option in Intel Graphics Driver settings but still no luck - issue is here.
Interesting that sometime it can repeat few times per minute but sometime not.
What can I do with that? Reinstalling Windows or Drivers did not help...

Poor laptop performance while plugged in
Hi,
I searched whole day for solution, but nothing seem to fix the problem. I get low fps on games while I plug the charger to my laptop ...
I used to have this problem, but I fixed it somehow by discharging the battery completely. Few days ago I updated both Nvidia and Intel drivers and this problem came back. In CS:GO for example, my fps drops hugely in smoke grenade and the mouse movement is so delayed, other games lag also, but when I take the charger out it runs smoothly instantly. I rolled back the drivers, but problem still persists, I even tried to discharge the battery. Checked all the battery and graphic card settings and everything seems ok, everything is at max performance. Charger is not old, original, 7.7A like it says on laptop. BIOS is up to date.

CPU - Intel i7-6700hq
GPU - Nvidia Quadro M1000M 2GB

HP notebook does not connect to Microsoft Wireless Adapter P3Q-00019
The Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter (MSDisplayAdapter_22) is recognized and connectable by any device here, except my new HP Notebook. Android phone - to - Sony projector => OK ,connected. Android phone to LG Smart TV = > OK, connected. By clicking "Action Center -> Connect -> I see the wireless display device "MSDisplayAdapter_22". In the projector or the Smart TV I see "MSDisplayAdapter_212 - Ready to Connect". When I click "Connect" in the laptop, I see the TV Screen changing to "Connecting to <mycomputername>". After a while (30s+-) the laptop display an yellow text with "Couldn't connect". I've spent HOURS, DAYS on MS troubleshootings guides, drivers updates, Windows 10 updates, Firewall, 2,5 G, 5 G, NW adapters in device manager, I'm tired. What did I miss? Is HP the only one unable to connect? Any help here?

HP Spectre x360 2018 - Vertical dotted line appears on and off while scrolling
Hi,
I recently noticed vertical thin dotted line appearing on and off only in the middle of the screen while scrolling the web pages in my 1 month hold HP Spectre x360 13.3" Gem Cut model. Its noticeable only in the white background. Sometimes these dots stay bit longer (which is rare and lasts only 3secs or so) before dissapearing again.
Got intouch with HP support and they updated few things but the issue is still persisting and they came to conclusion that its a hardware problem and told me to send it for repairs!!! ( I still have 10 days or so to exchange it under HP's extended holidays return/exchange time)
Can anyone shed light on what the issue could be? or should I go ahead and get it exchanged before the exchange window closes??

Unstable pen when using on table mode
I bought a stylus pen for using with my new laptop (HP Pavilion x360 14-cd0008sa). I found that when I used it with window mode (unflip), it worked well. However, when I filped the screen (360 Degree) to use as whether tablet mode or window mode, the lines was wobbly and unstable as attached picture. Please suggest.
PS: I tried many program to draw the line or picture but has the same result.

Streaming videos are ZOOMED IN and can't be watched.
I use Hulu to watch movies etc. online but today I went to watch a movie and it was all zoomed in showin just an enlarged portion of the middle of screen. I can't find any video settings in Windows 10, Chrome or HP to solve the problem. Most of the videos I watch on You Tube are Okay. Just the ones I stream from Hulu.

Black screen on wake from sleep. HP 6910p with ATI X2300 in Windows 10
I know there's a few other people out there running Windows 10 on an older laptop like the 6910p and I think this came up as an issue in the past on Windows 8/8.1 but I never quite figured out the solution.
When the laptop wakes from sleep, all I get is a black screen with the cursor moving around. The laptop has resumed from sleep ok as I can do an Alt+F4. hit R and restart fine. Just as it starts the shutdown process, the desktop flashes up briefly and then it goes to the blue restarting... screen.
I disabled the fast startup option in the power options and that's stopped it from booting to a black screen but now it's just the waking from sleep that is ending up with a black screen.
Did anyone ever figure out a solution to this?

Laptop screen is very dim, even on highest brightness
I recently purchased this HP Laptop from Staples. I find the screen to be very dim, even in the highest setting. I have looked at the power saving mode and other ways to make it brighter and nothing seems to help. Please advise. Thank you.

spectre 360 (15.6)--backlight does not turn off when monitor sleeps or system sleeps
There are no errors. Backlight stays on even when computer goes into sleep mode.

I want to know how hp's active pen works. Why only some pens support some digitalizers?
Hi,
I'm an engineering student and want to know more about hp's touch pens. A couple of months ago I bought one pen and it turns out that its not compatible with my digitalizer. I want to know the key difference between the pen I bought(HP Active Pen) and the pen my laptop is compatible with(HP Active Pen(Synaptics)). Just for the sake of closure.
Provide a block diagram for HP Active Pen from Synaptics if possible. I already opened up the pen I bought.
