Yesterday while I was working on my laptop, the display on the screen suddenly started blinking and in a minute or two my laptop stopped working. I tried restarting it several times and the display kept on blinking and the laptop never started. It's fourth time that my laptop gave me issue since I bought it (just in 15 months). I have really been disappointed with the product I chose and once again I lost my entire data. I have my finals week going on and I lost my entire data in the laptop. I am really disappointed and am very angry because I had all my projects in my laptop. I would really like HP to take some action regarding my issue, I won't be able to use this laptop again because I have lost my data and since i am student it is really difficult for me to study for my exams when I lost my data during my finals week. One of my friend owns the same model and the same thing happened with her few months back. I really need your assistance in this issue. Please help me with this issue.
As stated in the subject, I cannot get Ubuntu 18.04 to recognize my built in HP Truevision HD camera. I've installed Cheese and it does not recognize it either. Thank you for any help you can provide
I have huge issue with my Elitebook 820 G4 that I'm researching for a while and can't find any resolution to it. I hope I will get some clarity here.
I need to connect monitor via USB C to DP connection. As far as I know my model doesnt support DP alternate mode meaning that USB C cant output video signal.
However even on HP website I have seen that it is compatible with HP Universal USB C hub which has HDMI output.
So my question is - is there any way to send video signal via USB C to monitor from 820 G4.
Thank you for your help in advance,
I'm wanting to buy this x2 notebook, but only if I can get an active stylus for it! Can you tell me if and what is compatible and where to buy? ?
it shows trying to connect on the tv, but never does connect, tried everything i found from microsoft
windows, graphics and wireless up to date
it connects right away using a nook tablet
Hello help with the problem. I use Photoshop cc 2019 on a laptop, one of the video cards stops working in the robot and the program stops working (white screen) and I can’t do anything with it until I finish the process. The driver reinstalled, in Photoshop I tried to disable the image editor so that the laptop did not switch automatically. From the observations I notice that the problem appears when I load the laptop, I open the next file of the photoshop. I thought there was little performance, I changed the hdd to ssd.but the problem did not dare
The screen of the laptop stays black. It starts normally with an extern monitor. I have tried all the suggestions as bios update etc.
A few weeks ago the problem also accures. At that time the bios update was the solutions.
The standard answers on the HP site have been tried.
Does anyone have new sugestions?
I've been looking for a stylus that would be compatiable with my laptop so I can take notes, using the bamboo paper app.
However I've been struggling to find whether my laptop is compatiable with an active stylus.
ive checked the settings and i have the full settings for a didgital pen but I want to be sure before I spend my money.
My chrome books touch pad or mouse won’t do anything or wont show up
I have an Elitebook 8770w. Video card is Nvidia Quadro K3000M. Just bought an ultrawide monitor (21:9) and I cannot make it work with proper resolution (3440x1440). Laptop only shows it in 1920x1080.
I thought the video card would support ultrawide resolution. Is it so? Or could it be than I'm using wrong cable connection? Right now I'm connected to HDMI 2.0 input at monitor to DisplayPort 1.2 output from laptop. Cable is HDMI to HDMI so I'm using a HDMI to DisplayPort adapter on the laptop side.
i lost my tuoch screen driver from my laptop help me !!
I'm having the same problem with my HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl075nr. I previoiusly sent it in last year because there was an audible squeal coming from the battery when I dimmed the screen at all (HP made it better, but it's still there, but not worth the hassle to send it back again).
Now, I have the vertical streaks/lines/bars/ghost in the display just like the OP. Any bright spot on the screen causes streaks to travel to the top. I've included my own photo of the problem below.
I see it on the BIOS screen (although less prominent). It looks like the monitor power supply is failing and not getting enough juice to drive the LCD?
I sure hope HP chooses to cover this under warranty since it's HP who chose to shove cheap short-life power supply parts in to their premium laptop line.
HP: please contact me for another warranty repair on this laptop.
The display on my Pavilio dv6 notebook doesn't work, but an external monitor does work. I used the HP support tool to troubleshoot, but got stuck when I wasn't able to get a bios restore file from the hp website. The notebook is out of service, apparently. Is there any way to get the needed files to restore the bios? Should I try to replace the display? (I've taken the notebook apart 3 times before to replace the fan (successfully -- about 3 years ago))
No error message. The screen print button just does NOT work.
I am using an HP ENVY cn0700ng with the normal hp pen, I am looking for a new one, but I am not sure if this pc has mpp or ntrig or whichever stylus technic? can you help me?
Probably you can also tell me if the surface pen will be compatible?
Thanks for your time and help!
Have a nice day!
I've got a HP Elite x2 notebook and the FN keys work, however they execute functions that are different to what is shown on the keys (even though the language is correctly selected: all the characters from the keyboard are typed correctly).
Product number: T7B25AV
I've been looking for some software but couldn't find the right one.
Thansk a lot for helping me out!
There is some kind of hissing noise coming from my brand new laptop.
I think this whistle is related to the screen, because when the computer is turned on but there is no picture, there is no noise.
Moreover, when I decrease the brightness to 0% or increase it to 100%, there is no noise. Between these two levels I can hear the hissing sound.
This problem appears whether I'm on battery or not, and I've already checked that my sound and graphics card drivers are up to date.
Thank you very much for your help.
Hi My HP ENVY has been experiencing the same problem for a few months which dont show up on a diagnostics check or fix when the laptop is restored to new.
Its also been away to PC World Knowhow and the problem still persists.
the machine can work for days even weeks then the problem starts with a ‘jumpy’ cursor, followed by unresponsive mouse pad, then the screen goes black and if the volume is turned on the speakers squeal and buzz until I hold down the on/off button.
As I said this problem is intermittend and ongoing.
can anyone offer any advice or remedy the problem?
My desktop screen and icons are pink and slowly fading but never gone completely.
The model name is not HP Spectre, but HP Pavilion x360 13-s102TU. Please let me know which stylus would be compatibe with it. Since the laptop did not come with one, is it possible that no stylus works with it?
