    In Windows 10 HDMI device is not working whenever i plug in HDMI cable error message "projector not found" my current graphics drivers are AMD Radeon HD 6650M & AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250.

     

    Upgraded from windows 7 to Windows 10, Windows 10 is installed drivers for the AMD Radeon HD 6600M & AMD h ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250.

     

    In Device Manager it is showing Installed the Graphic Card Drivers for AMD Radeon HD 6600M & AMD h ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250.

     

    But When Rightclick on the Deskop and See Display Seetings - Advanced Dsplay Settings here it is showing Microsoft Basic Display. why it is using Microsoft basic Display Drivers Here, even the Device Manger shows the Correct AMD Drivers are loaded

     

    i tried installing the drivers for AMD , but still it is not working, I want to use the HDMI Port on My laptop .

    I've cracked the screen on my laptop but the actual LCD is fine but I can't find just the glass panel and digitizer, is it possible to get just this or do I have to get the full assembly?

    Hello,

    I noticed a couple of weeks ago that when I watch videos on my laptop there is an issue which arises when the mouse goes idle and hence, disappears. The screen goes an off-colour as if it has a grey filter over it. I have done some extensive testing and spoken to Windows 10 Microsoft Support at length. The conclusion we have come to is that it is something within my laptop causing this change. It only happens in full screen. I attempted to record it on the laptop but it did not appear when I reviewed the footage afterwards meaning this is likely a display issue? I've seen only a couple of people with the same issue and have followed previous steps that you recommended to them but to no avail.

    Thanks for your help in this matter.

     

    I also did put this same query on an older thread and it appeared to be deleted or something of the sort? Either way, I'd appreciate any help.

    hi, I have the exact same issue with this thread, I don't know how it get solved. It's the screen door effect, I can easily see the separation between pixels especially on blue color. I have went to get a replacement unit, it's the same issue as well on the second unit. I have updated the BIOS and to the latest NVIDIA graphic driver, still same issue. My laptop is OMEN by HP - 15-dc0051nr

    Screen door effect happen on blue color, already went for new replacement, both new unit has the same issue. Is it a bad display hardware? Faulty? Or software update issue? 

     

    Have updated nvidia to the latest version and updated the bios too. Same problem.

    Hi,

     

    This evening a shdow appeared in the bottom left corner of my screen (see below).20181203_210432[1].jpg

    The shadow goes away briefly if I tilt the screen just right, but I can't hold it there. I also noticed that the cover is peeling away from the screen just a bit (it doesn't fit snugly) in the same place, so I assume this is a hardware/connection problem.

     

    Is there anything I can do about this?

    I have recently purchased a Pro X2 612 notebook with a elite usb-c dock g4 docking station. On startup I am not getting any signal on my screen connected through the docking station through either the hdmi and displayport adaptors. About 30 minutes after startup i can unplug the adaptors from the docking station and replug in and it works but this is extremely frustating. I have performed software/firmware updates recommended from other posts, however i still have no luck. i have bought many hp notebooks and docking stations in the past and this is the first time i haven't been able to resolve the issue.

    Hello all,

     

    I was hoping for some assistance with my HP pavilion laptop. I'm having great difficulty recently running almost all games, even though the hardware specifications meet the recommended for each game.

     

    I have a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 2GB graphics card, 8GB RAM, a quad core processor...

     

    The lag only started in the last few months, and nothing in particular has been downloaded to the computer.

     

    Antivirus checks are performed regularly, including Windows updates and graphics driver updates.

     

    Could this potentially be hardware related? The laptop is less than 1 year old, and the warranty will expire shortly so I'd like to act quickly if it needs to go in for repair.

     

    Performance monitoring during games shows CPU, RAM and Disc usuage low.

     

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    We have purchased a new HP Spectre - 13t  and have connected it to a USB-C Dock. The issue we have is when connected to the docking station, the display adapter in the docking station crashes every 3-5 minutes and renders any additional monitor support useless. It happens when connected to any output. It occurs in extended or duplicate mode in Windows 10. Other peripherals are fine including Ethernet, USB, and Headphone Audio, and these don't drop out.

     

    Firmware and Drivers have been updated on the Docking Station and computer in correlation to the driver versions available from both Windows Update and the support page on HP. I/O of HDMI to HDMI, HDMI to DisplayPort, and DVI to DisplayPort all resulted in the same outcomes of the display driver crashing after a few minutes of being plugged in. The only way to get the display to come back is to power cycle the docking station, which lasts about five minutes before failing again. Current workaround was that we purchased a $40 adapter to go from HDMI to USB-C to plug directly into the Spectre laptop and avoid the docking station for display output which works. Attached are screenshots displaying Event Viewer errors. The computer is running Windows 10 v1803, and fully updated to that version.

     

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • My touchscreen started spazzing. By spazzing, I mean that it would act as if I was touching the screen when I was not. This caused it to open and close documents/ads/etc. I have no clue what started it. I tried to update and restart my laptop, but the timing seems to be random. Sometimes I would have to borrow my sister's laptop (she has the same model but not the same issue!) because it would spazz too much, but other times it would go for weeks without a glitch. I finally had to figure out how to disable it altogether, but I loved the touch screen feature before it started acting up. Has anybody else experienced this problem and/or does anyone know how to fix it?

  • I am using HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx  (purchased Feb 2018). I personally witnessed that the screen cracked while doing my normal work use. I raised to HP support but they are giving me difficult time covering it under warranty and the case is still in progress. It would be great if they would improve the quality of the screen as well as their support for their premium machines such as this one.

    I am wanting to run 2 monitors from my laptop.  I have one hdmi port and have bought an USB type C to hdmi & USB 3.0 with Power delivery but I still cannot get my laptop to recognize the 3rd screen.  It recognizes one monitor and the laptop monitor only.  How do I get it to recognize the additional monitor as well?  (3 in all when count the laptop)

    on my new HP 15-da0129nq  there is no white (somehow yellow), the colors are off, dull, it is like on saving mode always, I tried to calibrate the colors, but nothing works. I always had HP laptops, but this is the first one to have this problem. Strangely this one is supposed to be the best I have. Is there a solution for this, or the HP has to be returned to the store and warn others not to buy this kind of laptop.

    The laptop's screen got jammed, kids tried to open it and it ended up cracking the plastic.  Luckily the LCD is fine, but the lid itself (gold rivets that hold the screws) were completely pulled out of the plastic shell and its cracked.  Rather than needing a replacement LCD, I need a complete back lid assebly.

    Can't find one on ebay, do you know if HP sells replacement parts direct?  No warranty, I bought it from Aarons, floor model. No coverage.  I don't know how places like Geek Squad obtain replacement parts, do they get them direct from manufacturer?  I am independent PC repair, but I usually get my parts from 3rd party sites and ebay, so I'm not sure how to obtain such a part.

    I've been having a fan problem with 1 day old Spectre X360 13.  Even when only browser is operating, it's getting very hot and I cannot touch it. Plus the fan is very noisy.

    My keyboard is constantly ghosting. Several keys are being pressed all the time. 

    This is happaning most offten within the office applications (excel, word..) but not only.

    Also, the touchpad sometimes freezes and the pointer doesn't react until I press ctrl or esc. 

     

    When I  add a mouse, logitech mouse that works fine on another machine, the glitches getting worse.

     

    Please Help!

    I know it's not a Gaming Laptop but since 4 or 5 years ago I'm palying video games with my laptop at least 10 hours per day, every day until now.

    and the laptop was working very well (Thanks to HP o7).

    since few days ago I saw a tiny horizontal black line bottom of my screen.

    it was growing day by day (like that snake game when the snake eating the cubes becoming longer and longer slowly) (horizontal, from left side to the end of right side, then went one step upper and then from right side to the end of left side and so on, coming upper and upper)

    like a worm eating a leaf.

    I made the screen green to be more visible

    then I went to BIOS to make sure it's not about the Graphic Card and make sure it's a harware issue

    and I saw yes it's still there even in my BIOS screen.

     

    my laptop screen never and ever been damage or scratch by something, I have never throw water, tea or coffee on the screen.

    I turned off the laptop to open the screen panel and make sure everything is ok with cable and it's connected to the board correctly. but when I turned off the laptop and opened the screen i saw those lines are still there even when laptop is completely off and with no battery, (even I hold the power button for one minute)

    it's make me crazy especially while I'm playing games, so I took a cotton buds (like those things for cleaning ears) and tried to wipe those area on the black lines with a bit pressure, then i saw they are moving around.

    then I tried to guide them and force them to get out of the screen by wiping them with pressure to the corners.

    didn't work that way and I did just mess them around.

    then I turned on the lapop again and now I'm seeing this:

    (I put the red and white backgrounds with some "pixel healer Apps" to make those black spots more visible)

    as you can see it was a straight lines before and was growing longer and longer day by day, but now it's not look like line anymore, now they are like black spots, at least they are not growing anymore and their size is same during last few days.

     

    I have 2 questions:

    1) is there any way to fix this problem or not at all? (anyway my laptop is out of warranty)

    2) what is the causes of this issue? as I said before I did realy care of laptop, my laptop screen never and ever been damage or scratch by something, I have never throw water, tea or coffee on the screen !!!
