Can someone please help me and let me know if the HP Tilt Pen Driver is compatible with my device? I bought this laptop when the HP Spectre first released Tilt support, but my laptop doesn't natively have it on there.

Webcam doesn't work- no Imaging Devices folder under Device Manager- webcam CAN be accessed remotely
I have tried reinstalling the correct drivers and restarting 100 times to no avail. There isn't even an "Imaging Devices" section under Device Manager. It does not appear anywhere else. I am using an HP 820 G1 running Windows-7-64-bit. I wonder if they stopped supporting it, because it just stopped working all of a sudden about 2 years ago. I thought it was a hardware issue until last night when I had a remote interview and the interviewer was able to access my webcam (with my permission through Chrome) and the light next to the webcam came on and the camera fully functioned. Therefore, I know that it works, but somehow my computer has forgotten it's there and will not let me reinstall with any included HP drivers (via the HP website OR the "HP Help & Support" folder - "HP Software setup" tool on my laptop).
I am at the end of my rope because I need my webcam for work and now I know it works, this is clearly an HP laptop issue.

Frame rates
Hello,
I have had this product for 2 days now and when watching video I expected great quality with good video but this is not the case. Its like the frame rates are dropping and I don't see anything going fluent. It really bothers me as it's quite a pricy laptop and I don't know why it is this expensive if the quality of videos is so bad. Do you know the reason why this happens and or how I can fix this problem so the video plays well in full HD?

HP ENVY Notebook 13-ab0XX- Blurry texts
Hello there, I am new to this HP community. Last week my brother gave me his 1 year old HP ENVY Notebook 13-ab0XX (HP ENVY Notebook 13-ab002nx).
I formatted the SSD, removed recovery files, repartitioned ssd, clean installed windows 10, installed drivers from HP website. Everything seems to be working fine, except few minor issues like- Most of the apps texts are blurry, windows inbuilt blurry text correction cant fix it. I almost tried in advanced settings and scaling features, but neither helped.
Another issue is that an icon in taskbar next to language keeps on missing. If I drag battery icon to the last, then it will be hidden ( I cant access or make changes), and while battery icon is missing if I drag wifi icon to the last, then battery icon comes back but wifi icon gets hidden. this happens with almost every icons in quick launch section.

Running dual monitor with Elitebook
I have an ASUS external monitor that I hook up to my Elitebook x360 G2. They are connected via HP USB C docking station. They work fine for a while, and then the external monitor blacks out for no reason and i get 'HDMI connection not found' on the screen of the external monitor. Then it comes back on, only to go out a few minutes later. I'm running HDMI>Docking Station>Type C connector to my PC.

dedicated graphics not registering in games
Hi,
I am having a problem with my dedicated graphics... the GPU is not registering in games even tho I added, all the exectuables into the Radeon utility (under gaming tab). The integrated and dedicated GPU is shown in device manager and it seems to be working fine. I tried disabling the integrated graphics so it will jump (theoreticaly I thought) right to the dedicated graphics. Instead it ran on Microsoft software display drivers. Needles to say it was even slower. I toyed around in the Intel and Radeon GPU settings, trying all the possible settings to see if it will work, but to no avail. I am kinda out of options now... or at least I dont see any. I also updated the drivers to the last possible version... and downloaded, all the needed updates (BIOS and so forth) from the HP page. Dunno what to do now... can anyone help me solve this please? Is it possible that the GPU might be faulty. Also I installed GPU-Z and it shows the GPU is running on 100 percent even tho there is nothing, else in background or foreground, except the GPU-Z utility.

HP Envy 17m-ae111dx with Samsung 512GB PM961 NVME SSD
I got a refurbed Envy 17m with i7-8550U/16GB/2TBMX150/1TB 7.2kHDD/1080p and a Samsung PM961 all for around $900. Just wanted to leave a note to say this is a good combo and everything works.
I downloaded W10 on a USB stick, physically disconnected the original HDD (a must!), screwed in the NVME stick, changed the boot order and the rest took care of itself. I didn't have to update or change anything in BIOS (Legacy and Secured Boot all default setting). Once W10 was up and running, I reconnected the original HDD, booted again from the USB to clear all the partitions in the original HDD. Another 12-second reboot back into W10. All done in less than 40minutes.
Only gripe is the 1080p screen is not as sharp as I would have liked. I should have paid a bit more for a 4k screen otherwise it's a fast, quiet and cool-running laptop. But despite the good looks I don't think she would outlive my last laptop, a Dell Inspiron 7720r that is still going strong after 6 years of heavy use.

Colors Washing Out when Netflix is Playing
Let me preface this by saying that I know next to nothing about computers, so this may very well be a simple fix.
When I have Netflix playing, the colors of the show are normal for about 15 seconds. After that, the colors become washed out, even if the screen brightness is as high as it can go. The screen color dims and the colors are noticably less vibrant. This issue doesn't occur when playing Youtube or videos on Facebook.
This particular laptop is an Energy Star laptop, so I'm not sure if the color being washed out has to do with energy efficiency.

8570P - Blue screen -Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed
I'm getting the blue screen on my 8570p. Here's the error:

I tried running the computer in Safe Mode but it won't boot. I also tried the system restore several times but I keep getting an error. I did use the Shift + F10 to change the Childcompletion setup value to 3 but that didn't work. I think I read somewhere that I need to remove my graphics driver? I currently have my computer connected to an external monitor because my regular laptop monitor isn't working at all. Can i purchase a new video card to replace the current one to fix this issue? I disabled the Automatic restart after failure option. I also did the Regedit to add the TDRdelay with an 8. Any help that you can provide will help me.

I am lookin to purchase a VR capable gaming laptop.
I want to purchase the above model OMEN 15-dc0085tx.
As the laptop has a dedicated GPU of GTX1070 (higher than the min. GPU need of all 3 VR/MR) it should ideally be capable of using oculus rift / HTC vive/ WindowMR devices.
However these 3 devices are connected via the HDMI port to the laptop. So for them to be able to run, the dedicated GPU needs to be directly connected to the HDMI port.
90% of modern laptops have Nvidia optimus in them (so does my current laptop on which I am unable to run VR) which is there to save battery power and so it switches between dedicated and integrated Intel GPU based on requirement. So for those the HDMI port and the laptop's own display is usually connected via the Intel Integrated GPU (which is very less powerful than the dedicated GPU). If the direct connection of HDMI is not to the dedicated GPU and it is connected via the Intel Integrated GPU, then the VR devices won't recognize the powerful Nvidia GPU and hence won't run.
As my sole purpose of buying a high-end laptop is to be able to use VR, I don't want to be investing ~I R 1.5 lakh and find out later that it can't run the rift or vive.
So I request you to help me in making an informed decision about this product.
Please answer these questions.
Q 1) Does this model have an Integrated Intel GPU? As I can't see it on the description.
Q 2) Does it have Nvidia Optimus tech enabled in it? (If it has an iGPU)
Q3) Is the HDMI port directly connected to the dedicated Nvidia GTX1070? (If Optimus is there)
Q4) What are all the output points(if there are any) of the Dedicated Nvidia 1070 GPU?
[for example if the 1070 is connected to say the Thunderbolt port then I can use an USB C to HDMI adapter and still be able to use VR on it]
Q5) Does HP certifies the 2018 new Omen 15 series released in India as VR ready?
(Specifically this particular model mentioned in the email subject)
Since these are spec questions based on the build of the laptop, I would really appreciate it if someone from from the Tech/ Manufacturing team of HP also responds on these questions.
If anyone from India owns this model, can you please confirm if you have tried VR and if it works.

HP Envy Beats Screen distortion - Wire worn?
My laptop has a problem with the display. Most the time it's fine but now and again the right hand side of the screen flickers and a stripe of content from top to bottom just disapears as the content from the side is pushed in. It's hard to explain but imagine you are playing a video and this happens when a face is being shown, could mean the nose of the face is not shown.
This is not a software problem I'm sure of that. I'm assuming a cable has come loose or become worn and needs replacing. The laptop is too old to warrent paying someone to repair but I'm happy to have a go. I need to know what part I need and how to go about it? anyone have any experiance of the problem or videos they could point me too?

Unable to display on external monitor
I have been using an external monitor fo rmy X360 for a while and it has recently stopped working. The external monitor is not able to be detected. I'm using a HDMI connection. The monitor is a Samsung and working fine as I use my work HP on it successfully.
Have restarted, made sure drive updates are completed but still no luck. It does seem to time with recent HP updates.
