My refurbished laptop is less than a year old and has spontaneously cracked. I use my laptop at my desk everyday and have never dropped it, yet I noticed a crack in the screen and the touch screen no longer functions. Unsure how to fix it.

Touchscreen won't work
My daughter's notebook touchscreen won't work. I am not sure if it is since the last windows 10 update. I have tried various ideas from outher bloggers.
-under device manager>HID compliant devices there is not a "HID compliant touchscreen" device listed
-tried the UEFI Diagnostic tool but there is no "components test" for touch screen as is it says if I have windows computer. othere tests it passed.
the only other advice I've read is to reset the computer to an earlier time (before Windows 10 update. That is drastic and time consuming for me. Plus it was a long time ago and I would loose alot. Plus I am not sure i have that backup. I have Norton.
How can I test that it is not a hardware problem first?
Could I just reinstall an earlier version of Windows 10 or is there an easier way to fix this.
any other ideas?

Laptop Media player not working?
My hp 2000 Media Player won't play - a window pops-up and reads: PowerDVD 17 Ultra - MPEG-2 video support not available for this product (of course - I can update my player for $60!!!). I purchased this laptop with the intentions I could could use it in the office as an entertainment source, just as one would purchase a DVD player, only problem, hp computers seem to suffer from poor software design and a rather ridiculous need for updates to un-cripple ones laptop. How can I update my media player without paying ransom, or is it time to go full apple (as all my other devices are apple)? JD

HP Zbook 15 screen part numbers
Hi Guys and Gals!
I've recently bought a used zbook 15 from a shops stock. It was to be used for photo and video manipulation, rendering, creative work in general. It was advertised with an IPS screen but when I recieved it it turned out to be equiped with a Chi Mei TN panel ( FHD ) I raised this to the seller since the laptop had a 6 month warranty with him. Turns out he mixed things up and none of the stock was equiped with IPS so he could only offer me a partial reinbursment or a full one. Since the laptop is quite powerfull ( It's equipped with a i7-4800 16gb ram 256gb SSD and a Quadro K2100M ), it looks pristine not a scratch on it and is fast as hell I don't rally want to exchange it for something else.
That's why I thought that maybe a screen replacement would be the solution, however I couldnt find the exact part numbers for the available screens or a good shop/ site to order it from. Can you help me by providing the best possible screen for this system and means to acquire it?

22es Monitor slow to wake up
My HP 22es monitor is used with my Toshiba laptop. The monitor is very slow to wake up after going to screen saver (sometimes with only 5 minutes on the screen saver). I use a my photos slideshow as my screen saver (a choice within the Windows 10 program).
When I am using the laptop without the HP monitor connected, the laptop screen wakes up just fine (a few seconds after a tap or click). But when the laptop is connected to the monitor, it takes several clicks, taps etc and about 1-2 minutes to wake up. It appears to be an issue with the HP monitor waking up, not the computer.

Spectre 360 Cracked Screen
Bought an Spectre 360 in February this year. It is a computer that basicaly stay on a desk most of the time. Yesterday the screen cracked in front of my eye while I was working on it. I went straight to the BesBuy location I bought the computer from. They asked for money just to have it sent to HP and that HP was also going to charge a pretty descent amount of money as it was a physical damage. I really did nothing to the screen. No signals of impact to the computer anywhere, screen or on computer shell. I have checked different forums and issue appear to be common according to other customers. Is there any help we can get from HP in this particular case? It was a very expensive computer. It works just fine except for the areas where screen is cracked. Love the product and would love to fix it but not spending a ton of money. I am still making payments on it. Thanks for any advise/solution

Hello, i bought my laptop in 2012 with Windows 7 i later upgraded to windows 10 because HP told me too, my camera stoped working then. When i go to the sofware update for cyberlink youcam for windows 10 on the HP website, it only has softwares up to windows 8, when is the windows 10 softwares for this model going to be available, if not is there another model or sofware of cyberlink youcam for windows 10 that can be compatible with my Laptop.

why does my HP active pen stylus not work with my otherHp laptop

It came with an active stylus
I also have another HP laptop - HP Envy 17 leap motion SE
I would like to understand why the above stylus does not work with the latter laptop for functions such as windows ink workspace
Also, there are more options in the Pen and Ink settings in the notebook that came with the Active Pen compared tothe other laptop - why is this?

Virtual keyboard popping up when trying to type
Everytime I click a text box, such as the one I am typing in, the virtual keyboard pops up. It does this FOR EVERY SINGLE TEXT BOX and it is driving me insane.
Yes, I have already gone to the settings and turned off the on-screen keyboard. It doesn't affect it at all. I might throw this computer through a window soon if I keep getting interrupted by the virtual keyboard.
