Recently when not in tablet mode, the virtual keyboard will randomly pop up on the screen as I am typing or when I am changing tabs in my internet browser or going between various applications. However,  I have not experienced the issue while in any Microsoft products such as word or excel. 

 

Once the issue happens, it progressively worsens to the point of popping up with each new screen or area to input data. 

 

I have tried the fixes listed on the forums of turning off the virtual keyboard (it was actually turned off, so I turned it on, rebooted, went in and turned it off again and rebooted). This did not correct the issue. 

 

It it is rather bothersome as once the virtual keyboard pops up, the application in which I am working is almost completely hidden. Once I begin typing on the manual keyboard, the virtual keyboard will disappear or I can click the X in the upper right hand corner of the virtual keyboard to close it down. Either way, within a few keystrokes, it will appear again. 

 

Any recommemded solutions on how to stop this from happening is greatly appreciated as it is extremely frustrating and time consuming to deal with constantly.

Brought the laptop today (Hp spectre x360 convertible 13-ae0xx) and the trackpad and pen randomly seze up and the mouse pointer can't be moved for 15-30 seconds this happens weather the pen is on or not, does anyone know how to solve this issue?

I recently got a Envy 15z x360 with ryzen 7.  The screen cannot display solid color without fine lines going through (especially noticable on light blue such as the hp website and orange color).  And the lines are more pronounced on the right side of the screen for some reason.  I tried all the color correction / driver updates from both amd and hp but the lines are not going away.

 

Is that normal?  It looks worse than my 6 year old mid tear android tablet.

Dear all,

 

I restarted my notebook the other day, which prompted an automated update by windows. Since then, i have had the problme of my screen not working properly (black screen, no cursor or anything). 

 

I followed the steps in the official youtube video for the installation of drivers via the HP site. I get error messages for the ones concerning visual drive, saying that it my pc does not have the necessary qualifications to install the packages (chip set did work correctly). 

 

do i have to try and install all the packages before i try the visual drivers? or is there a way to get drivers that align correctly with my laptop?

When I select "Extend these diplays", my laptop keeps the image and my external screen turns black. However, the toolbar at the bottom of the "black screen is visible and reacts to the commands coming from the laptop uning the mouse or Alt TAB...

The left hinge on my Hp Envy broke today. I have never dropped or damaged my laptop. So, I called HP and was today my warranty expired yesterday and I wouldn’t have cover the hinge because it is considered accidental damage. I was told that these type of things happen all the time but I can tell you how much it cost to repair your premium laptop. $427 to fix one hinge. Really, HP this is horrible and a known issue with this laptop. I will never buy another HP computer. Now, I’m stuck with this computer even though HP know this is a know issue. Buy beware!!!!....Don’t buy this computer!!!!

Hi,

I have the problem, my notebook is 15-cd007la.

According to hp specification the GPU 535DX should has 4GB but it has only 512MB.

Testing applications like Furmark always runs in safe mode, even with games .

I enabled a Win10 boot password to keep my stuff private.  I usually have a paired bluetooth mouse or keyboard along, so getting from the opening HP logo screen to the Win10 log in screen just requires a tap on one of those two devices, which then produces the password input screen.  The touch keyboard button brings up the on-screen touchkeyboard so I can enter the password without having to have the physical keyboard along.  To simplify travel, I have been trying to figure out how to get to that password input screen without using either of those bluetooth devices.  Have not had any luck to date.  Been touching the screen all over, multiple taps - nada.  Any suggestions will be welcomed.

So the black plastic around my screen is popping off, it will not go back on and it is causing major issues with opening and closing the notebook. Also, it has caused lines on the side of the screen.  This notebook sits on a desk 24/7. its not used for anything other then school, which is online.  I did read others post on the issues but not one has had a solution or a reason for this happening.  I have had nothing but bad luck with hp when it comes to laptops.

          Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me find the image that the 2018 version of the hp Spectre x360 is advertised with. I see it being used as background images with the comuputer but I can't seem to find just the background image.

I got a new HP laptop and I know that it's not meant for gaming, but the 4gb Radeon 530 can definitely run medium to low spec games at medium to high settings.

 

The games launch and play great for some time until the fps drops significantly. I've updated the drivers and lowered the settings as low as possible, but this still constantly happens.

I'm experiencing a consistent fault were parts of a program window (such as word, chrome and file explorer) are completely missing. Usually those parts are the upper half or lower half of the window, and in those areas, instead of the content of the window, is displayed the content of the windows behind the problematic one or a blank white colored area. This problem seemingly appears in a random way and it manifests  on other 3 different HP notebooks, that have different intel HD graphic cards and display drivers. The windows version in 1803, and the PC is always up to date.

Already tried reinstalling the latest versions of the intel graphic card drivers, disabling windows aero, disabling fast boot and setting power management o best performance.

I just purchased my new laptop on Black Friday 2017. So November 2017. It is now August 2018 and the left hinge on my laptop broke yesterday. The plastic piece around the screen is becoming detached and I cannot close the lid because I am afraid it will break off even more. Would this issue be covered under the manufacture warranty? I did not purchase any additonal warranty because I have never had a problem with an HP laptop before. I can add photos later tonight when I get home from work.

when i checked the size of my video card

the OS windows 10 read the only internal Intel card

and also when is checked it from System Information

the result was 1 GB

 

 

SO where is the 4 GB amd ??

can anyone help me to understand where is this video card with this size ??

How do you mirror to your smart tv? I have my tv on the right menu, then I go through the steps to display on my laptop but when I connect it only allows me to disconnect signal.  It wont allow me to choose duplicate as my option for the display

The screen has a split image!  We are seeing only half of the screen, but twice replicated.  This problem developed 1 year and two months into use, and we stopped using the computer at that point. This was a couple of years ago. Frustrating.  Took it to Geeks and they said "its a screen problem, which would be $379 to fix"

HP - never again.
