I have a photo only happend for few seconds but part of the screen will achieve while using the web. Sections of screen will looks weird and scrambled. It has happened 4x in 4 months. Is it software drive issue or hardware

IPS on Pavilion laptops
Without much fanfare, HP is now shipping Pavilion laptops with IPS displays. These are not the "standard" display, you have to select a "cutomizable" configuration and then select the the Full HD option and you will receive an IPS display ! The big win on IPS displays is typically brighter/sharper colors and no color shift when viewing the display from an angle.
My question is, has anyone seen these IPS displays ? Any idea who the supplier is ? Are they really worth the extra $100 ? I was "blown away" the first time I saw an IPS screen (32" about 10 years ago).

screen dont come on sometimes
Hello to whom ever may be able to help me : In the last couple of days when I turn on my laptop everything comes on except my screen and the F11 key that usually lights up along with the F12 and the caps key . after a couple of mins or so I turn it back off and try again later it comes on and runs as it should . So , Is there anyone out there that might know the reason it just suddenly statring doing this and how can I fix this issue ?

Switchable graphics option missing
Product : HP Probook 4540s Notebook PC
OS : Windows 10 (64-Bit)
Graphics : Intel HD Graphics 4000/Radeon HD Graphics 7650M
Hi , Please I need some help in my situation , My problem is that I downloaded my two graphics drivers from here : https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-4540s-notebook-pc/5229455
And the intel driver installed ok without problems but the amd radeon installed and the switchable graphics option wasn't there (This is a problem after I reinstalled my windows it was windows 10 (64-bit) I just reinstalled it)

And Uninstalled them then reinstalled them but nothing new it's the same , So please if anyone can help me I would be really grateful.

Ecrã Táctil deixou de funcionar após Actualização de Abril
Com a última actualização do Windows 10 (April Updadte 1083) as funcionalidades tácteis do ecrã deixaram de funcionar. Já instalei os últimos drivers de vídeo da Intel, mas o problema ainda continua. Deve haver de certeza uam solução para este problema. Alguém já teve omesmo proble a e sabe como resolver?

My battery is swelling on HP Spectre x360 convertible 15
My Battery is swellinga nd has caused the trackpad to pop up. The laptop is just out of warranty and I cannot find a new battery for it. I cannot get anywhere on HP's site. We have bought a number of these laptops for the company and this is the second battery issue we have had.

No power management tab in device manager
Sometimes I can't wake my computer up from sleep mode. Websites tell me to go to device manager, go to keyboard and go to power management tab. There is no power management tab. The settings button is greyed out. What can I do? Other solutions to solve computer sleep problem won't work.

Sporadic rapid cursor clicking in upper right of screen
My pavilion x360 cursor will sporadically jump to the top right of the screen, and rapidly click the screen, without me doing anything. I will open the laptop and it won’t start doing it right away, but after I am on it for a little while it will start. Does not matter what I’m doing-internet or using a Word doc or looking at photos.
I’ve tried researching the issue-and tried updating drivers based on what other people said, but that didn’t make it stop. It’s also extremely hard to use the computer once it’s doing its ghost clicking- I can’t really move the cursor or click on anything else easily. It just started doing this within the last week. I haven’t really done anything with the laptop except watch Nerflix or use the Internet, so I’m not sure what could have caused it.

Hi everyone. I've had my notebook since Aug 2016 and it's worked fine up until recently. Videos wont play at all. If I click on the play icon on the vid, it just blinks and does nothing. I dont know what to do. Please advise.

cannot adjust brightness
After changing the hard disk of my laptop, I am unable to change/adjust the brightness.
after pushing the brightness adjustment keys (i.e. fn & f2 or f3) neither the adjustment bar is displayed, nor the brightness is adjusted.
now the screen is bright and it is difficult to work continiously

Stylus pen available or not?
I am outside of the US.
My notebook computer functions touchscreen with a finger.
But I feel I need to use a stylus pen to make a more precise and more smooth drawing work.
Then a domestic HP engineer advised that my notebook computer model doesn't work with any stylus pen.
That is, no stylus pen will function with my model. But I doubt it, because the HP webpage 'https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-17-ae100-laptop-pc/16851067/model/18021647/document/c05166879 ' shows me that two models of HP pen are compatible with Envy 17-aexxx, which is my model.
So could any one help me to know
1) if my notebook computer model functions with a stylus pen,
2) if it does, what model of stylus pen is compatible with my notebook computer model.

unable to get a second external monitor working
Hi,
I have a HP Laptop 17-bs1xx, to which i am trying to connect two external monitors.
1st external monitor has been connected via the only HDMI output and is working fine (at 1920x1080 resolution).
2nd external monitor has been connected via the USB 3.0 output via a "USB3 to VGA adapter" (Raidsonic ICY Box IB-AC507), but is not working properly.
This 2nd external monitor is getting recognized by the display settings, and is shown as monitor "number 3", however on the monitor screen itself it doesnt show anything (just black), mind you that this is at 1920x1080 resolution.
I have contacted the support desk of Raidsonic first, because i thought the problem was due to the USB to VGA adapter. However the Raidsonic support desk said it probably is due to the lack of V-RAM of my graphics card (onboard Intel UHD Graphic 620), because on a lower resolution 1600x900 the monitor does show image properly. And also the most upto date drivers had been installed. Raidsonic support desk assured that this adapter 100% supports 1920x1080 resolution.
As I really need this 2nd external monitor on resolution 1920x1080 (for work related use, excel and outlook on multiple screens) working, could you please check and advise how to proceed?
Raidsonic support desk advised me to increase the shared V-RAM of my onboard graphics card via BIOS, but since i couldnt get to the "advanced" BIOS settings (since it is locked by HP), i wasnt able to increase the shared V-RAM.
One extra note, i am not going to use the laptop or the external monitors for gaming, but it is just for work/office purposes.

Loking for plastic screw holder
The plastic hinge or I think screw holder in the right side that connected my laptop lid and keyboard case just broken. As such, I cannot shut the lid. I need to replace that plastic hinge . I want to know the process how to remove that plastic screw holder and fix that with new one. Also, the important thing is that what is the avaiability of that plastic screw holder specifically for my laptop model so that I can buy that online?

laptop external monitor not waking from sleep
HP laptop purchased July 2017. Used with two different Dell external monitors, but only one at a time. Since upgrading to Windows 10, monitors fail to wake from sleep even though the laptop is awake and the laptop screen is working. The only way I have found to solve this is to remove the HDMI cable from the laptop, wait a few seconds, then reinsert the cable.
This never happened before upgrading to Windows 10 and installing all of the Windows 10 updates. Is this a laptop problem, Windows problem, or both?

HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC Screen Coming Unhinged
My HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC is coming unhinged - it started with just the black piece, but not the back lower corner when I close the screen pops out and I have to push everything back together to close and an the screw I believe cracked the plastic and no longer stays tight.
Is there a replacement or repair for this?
