I purchased my Pavilion Laptop over a year ago last May. This May, my laptop was damaged and I did not know that I had a warranty on it when it was damaged, but about a week after the damage I got a notification that my warranty that I did not realize I had, had expired. Now my question is, do I have to purchase a warranty extension or can HP cover it? And the whole display of the laptop is damaged and would need replacement of the entire screen part, is that covered it the warranty as a part? I would assume so but would like to know for sure. Can't adjust screen brightness
I can't adjust the screen's brightness after a Window's update. I try to adjust the screen's brightness from the settings but to no avail.

Stylus Detection Range
I just got an Spectre x360, which came with a default stylus pen.
I have activated the setting where it does not read my palm when the stylus is in use; however, this only seems to work when the stylus is initially within the range of detection, which is rather small (less than 2cm or so).
Is there a possible way to increase this detection range?
Despite the fact that I activated the palm rejection, it sometimes reads my palm.
Let me know if there's anything I can do in the settings within the laptop.
Also, is there a way to calibrate the stylus accurace on the touchscreen?

Laptop won’t turn on
I am trying to start up my sister’s old laptop so I can fix it up and donate it, but I cannot seem to get it to start. When I hit the power button, the lights turn on but the screen is blank. The CD rom drive also makes a weird noise like it’s trying to eject a disk yet there’s no disk needing to be ejected. I intially thought it was a screen problem, so I hooked up a monitor to it but there isn’t any image displayed. Could this be a graphics card issue? Any suggestions you can give would be great, thank you!

Type-C DP doesn't work on Z24N G2
I have an HP Z24n G2 with Type-C DP input. However it doesn't work at all. I tried with a mini-desktop, a notebook and a mobilephone, all support DP over type-c output but none of them works. They work perfectly on the Z27 display though with the same cable.
So is this port functioning on Z24n G2 at all?

Does Anyone Use A XP-Pen deco 02 Graphics Tablet?
I am looking for some buying information about digital drawing tablets and pens. I would like to purchase an entry level drawing tablet and pen. I totally want the pen to have an eraser end which I have done some initial research and found out not all pens for drawing pads/tablets have an eraser end. I use adobe Illustrator, some Photoshop, for most of my design/graphics work on PC.
I want something inexpensive but again really want it to be portable and the eraser end functionality is a must have. I would like to pay as far under $200 as possible. The research I have done has shown that the ones at a price point under $100 lack the eraser end is barely available (haven’t found one yet) and the wireless factor is available but not with a whole bunch of variety in models available. Important note is that I will be using it with a Windows 10 laptop.
I was going to get the XP-Pen deco 02 graphics tablet ( https://www.amazon.com/XP-PEN-Graphics-Battery-free-Shortcut-pressure/dp/B07DCS9D9Q ) . The DECO 02 drawing tablet have an eraser at the end of the pen .The stylus supports 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and the graphics pad has a 10 x 5.63 inch working area .it seems perfect.Any advice for an up and coming artist , good/bad experiences and so on?.

UltraSlim Dock DisplayPort Flicker when Docking
Hello,
Hopeing someone has some advice.
We've been switching to HP laptops recently for faculty, with a docking station connecting to two external DP monitors.
A number of people have complained that when first docking the monitors continually flicker on/off. Usually turning the laptop off, then back on resolves the immediate issue but obviosuly that is inconveneint.
We've seen this on Elitebook 840 G4 and G5 laptops.
Steps already taken on a G4 system to attempt resolve:
- Install latest Intel driver from HP Support site for laptop
- Install latest BIOS update from HP Support site
- Update firmware on dock to 2.33 (advised on other posts).
The problem however remains and is realiably reproducable. If the laptop is un-docked / re-docked the flickering display occurs.
Any suggestions on where to look next? All systems are still under warranty.

Intel 620 graphics Chip
I have the Intel 620 video/gaphics chip in my HP pavilion 14'' Laptop. Can I purchase a normal external HD Monitor and link it up with the HD Output port on my Laptop?
The current maximum resolution I have on my laptop is 1980x1080.
The aim is to have a bigger screen monitor at my office, as the 14'' laptop screen is a bit too small and I have to constantly ''zoom in''....so please help with any advice.

Just purchased a HP laptop - 15t Touch. It only has a HDMI port for an external monitor.
I want to connect my extrnal monitor (HP Pavilion vs19 Monitor) which uses a VGA connector.
My old laptop used a VGA to VGA cable to connect to my external monitor.
Will a HDMI to VGA cable allow me to use this monitor with my new laptop?

Disappears for a long time and there is an unexpected backlight of the display lcd matrix
Hi!
Once upon a time about two years ago the my laptop EliteBook 8560p was disappeared backlight lcd screen, after about half a year of work on the external screen, backlight appeared again and continued to work about one year. There was a replacement of the motherboard (due to problems with internal video memory). After that the laptop continued to work normally few months. After a few months, the next time (yesterday) I am turn on my laptop - the backlight is gone again. What is the reason for such a strange fault!?!
P.S. Apparently the problem is not in the motherboard and not in the loops... But what then is wrong???????

How to disable the auto brightness in Windows 7 64 Bit
My display is OK, but display changes it's brightness automatically (it feels like the Auto Contrast or Auto Brightness is enabled somewhere in function,
Please help, unable to find out the fucntionality that works changing the contrast automatiically, I also noticed that each time background color of application appear white it change the brightess to some high. I do not know how does it works, it will good if I can keep the brightness steady.

CPU and GPU speed drop while plugged in

I own HP pavillion 15g br 104tx
8gb RAM
Intel i5 8th gen
AMD R5M330
in box charger 19.5v 3.33a 65w
Games run well on battery with a constant FPS ,fair CPU and GPU clock but when I plug in after a 5-10 minutes of gaming CPU and GPU clock reduces drastically. CPU and GPU speed drops to 400MHz and recovers to orginal speed at irregular time intervals. FPS drop,CPU & GPU clock drop is very frequent when plugged in and almost rare on battery
Drivers are updated along with BIOS drivers still didn't fix the problem
Power options didn't help
I hope to find solution to my problem

The monitor keeps cycling among screens totally red, blue, green and black. Does not respond to any command from the buttons. When i press the input button i get i screen asking what input i select. No matter What i choose. Below that screen appears:
H=0.0 kHz V=0Hz.
What to do?

HP8570W two fingers scroll ability is stopped after few hours using
My 8570w got a strange problem like this :
After few hours using. After few hours using from start, its twofinger scroll abilily will be terminated, i can only use left/right/middle mouse and single finger function and sometime the mosepad hang for few seconds. If i restart my computer, everything will be okey for few hours, then it happen again.
I tried to reinstall driver, Os but it now work.
Does anyone meet this problem before ?

Video flickers
I had problems loading a online game.
When they checked things found my Video device drivers out of date.
Inside Device manager I clicked Display Adapters.
Shows- Intel(R) HD Graphics Family (I found it is a IntelR) HD Graphics 4400
I clicked on Driver and update.
It updated to driver date- 10/16/2017 Version 20.19.15.4835
I can play online games. But I normally don't play in Full screen.
Today I played a game full screen and get a flicker almost like a horizontal smudge line similar to a old TV.
When I click to update it says it has the newest vesion.
What can I do to update, no flicker, and still play online games?
