The screen which has touch, is shattered and no longer works. The computer works fine but I need a new screen and don't know where to buy it or where I'll be able to send it to HP. I'm from Denmark.

Looking for an approved repairer near York UK
Hi, as part of an ongoing warranty issue with John Lewis I've been told I need to take my laptop to a HP approved repairer and get them to evaluate it.
So, as I can't find anything on the HP site and JL won't give me any details...
Does anyone know of, or how to find, a HP approved repairer in the York area (prefereable between York and Hull side)?

Win 10 - Oblong Display
I did a clean reinstallation of windows 10 and since then the screen display appears oblong in the horizontal direction. I Previously had Win 7, and upgraded to Win 10 and all was fine as regards the display. I would greatly appreciate any help in solving this annoying problem. Thank you.

Hp Envy x360 compatibility with Active Pen
I am looking to buy an HP ENVY x360 Touch M6-W105dx 15.6" second hand. I would like to know if this model supports an HP Active Stylus with pressure sensitivity.
I have looked on the HP Support page that lists touchscreen compatibility for Pen and Stylus, and there is a model listed "ENVY x360 15-w1xx". Does this include the M6-W105dx that I am asking about?

Wrong graphics driver on download page
Hi,
on the software and driver download page for my laptop (Spectre X360 1st gen 13-4006nl) there is a graphic driver that cannot be installed. After executing, I'm prompted that my laptop does not meet the requirements.
In fact, this driver seems to be for the next generation of processors (6xxx with HD 520 graphics).
Is this maybe a website mistake? I think it should be corrected as it is confusing.
Is there any new driver for my laptop or I'm stuck with the 2015 one?

usb to displayport not working after windows/firmware update this morning
hi, hope you can help - when i first got my HP spectra x360 about a month ago, the usb to dual displayport adapter didnt work, i researched the forums and found it needed a firmware update, i did that and they worked perfect, that is, until this morning when windows 10 did an update and a firmware update as well. now both monitors wont connect again.
i've tried...
rebooting of course ;)
checking for updates, via windows and the HP help software installed, there were a few, all those were added, rebooted
unpluged everything and plugged it back etc
and still not working :(
any ideas or tips most welcomed as i need the other monitors for work

Touchscreen issues on Spectre x360. Ghost touches, registering touch in wrong place.

I've the same problem with my HP Spectre x360 and I tried re-installing Windows Operating System. But that didn't help either. It comes quite often and I had to disable HID touch in Device Manager to continue using laptop normally. Let me know how to resolve this issue. I'm glad to know that this issue has been fixed for this user.
Also, I would like to bring to your kind attention that I purchased this Laptop in US and right now am in India. So please do help me with regards to this.

Spectre x360 13-4114Na Touchpad issues
I have posted before but i think i posted in the wrong place. My Touchpad is erratic, sometimes vanishes and screen scrolls down without touching anything. Had this for some time and it is very frustrating. I note that others have same or similar issues. The latest Touchpad driver installed is 19.3.31.31 and as far as i can see that is the latest driver for my system.
In frustration i deleted the touchpad in device manager and see that now after re boot the driver is 19.0.12.112 dated 29/8/2016.
After using laptop for a few hours now i have had no problems at all so it seems like the driver is the problem.
The thing i am unsure about is if i am using an older driver am i at risk from any issues ie problems with windows or virus or anything else.

Re: Extended Video Memory Test Failed
Hello. Trying to run CAD software (Autocad and FreeCAD) every time software launches and then freezes.
Running Component Tests in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows says both Fast and Extended Video memory checks failed.
I already reinstalled CAD software, tried with difent grapgic Card drivers (Geforce MX150). allways with same results.
Please advise.

Headphones and brightness keys doesn't work after last windows 10 update

As I wrote in the object, after the last windows 10 automatic update I have two unexpected problems affecting my laptop:
1. when headphones are plugged sound doesn't work
2. keyboard brightness keys doesn't work anymore

SUDDENLY PIXELED PICTURES IN THE WINDOWS 10 DESKTOP, BUT NOT ELSEWHERE
I have updated the Windows10 recently and now the pictures shown up in the Windows10 desktop look "pale" or "pixeled".
It doesn't happen with any other picture visualized on internet.
Would it be linked to any new W10 release "incompatibility" with the graphic card of my laptop?

Keyboard on HP Pavilion not working
The keyboard on my HP Pavilion suddenly stopped working. I have tried restarting. I’ve tried hitting esc button when restarting. Nothing happens. This computer is 2 months old! This is ridiculous! Help would be appreciated.

HP Spectre how to fix flashing/flickering screen, auto-dimming screen and set up the touchpad
This is not a question but answers to problems that I had with my 2017 Spectre X360 13 inch that I have been able to resolve after digging around on the internet. To help others, I wish to provide the answers here.
PREVENT FLICKERING / FLASHING SCREEN PANEL
This problem is related to the Intel Graphics 'Power' setting called 'Panel Refresh'. You can Google what this is intended to do (save battery life). On my machine it causes intermittent flickering. To turn it off:
1. Download and install the latest version of the video card driver from Intel (to see your video card type tap the Windows key then type Device Manager and enter. Under Display you will see the type listed (mine is Intel HD 620U.
2. In the system tray, click Intel Graphics Settings. This opens the Intel Graphics Control Panel.
3. Under Battery, disable Panel Refresh on both battery and plugged in.
PREVENT AUTO-DIMMING / AUTO BRIGHTNESS SCREEN PANEL
Follow instructions above, and turn off Enhanced Power Saving Mode.
SET UP YOUR TRACKPAD / TOUCHPAD (SO IT WORKS ALMOST AS WELL AS A MACBOOK)
The touchpad on the Spectre is actually pretty good, but needs fine tuning to work properly. Here's how I did it.
1. Press the Windows key and type 'Touchpad' then enter.
2. In Touchpad Setings click Touchpad, then set sensitivity to Low.
3. Click Additonal Settings > Clickpad Settings > Clickpad Settings
4. Make sure every option is ticked except for Scrolling.
5. Under 2-finger scrolling click the cogs to enter settings. Set scrolling speed to four notches from left. Turn off Enable horizontal scrolling. Set coasting to 2 before maximum. Press close.
6. Under Smart Sense settings, set SmartSense to Max. Set Tapping Disabled to fourth notch. Set Pointing Disabled to first notch. Click Restrict Pointing and Restrict Tapping to on. Set Filter Activation Time to 0 seconds.
7. Still in SmartSense, set up the Green Zone to be flush with the top and left of the rectangle, but about two fingers equivalent distance away from the right, and one finger equivalent distance away from the bottom. (This will mostly prevent your right palm from accidentally tapping or moving the cursor, and your thumb from doing the same). Click Close.
8. Under Tapping settings, turn off Tap again and Double tap. Click close.
9. Click Apply to save your settings. Then OK.
10. Select Clickpad Profiles and save your new profile so you don't have to set it up again in the future.
All in all the Spectre is an awesome machine, made much better with these few tweaks. Enjoy!

Unable to switch graphics
My laptop uses inter 620 and nvidia 980mx but the bad news is that when ever I want to switch a game or even jest the display from the intel to the nvidia

My grandfather bought this laptop in February from the USA. He gifted this laptop. I live in Bangladesh. This is a fantastic laptop for me. I am happy to use this. After a few days, I am facing problems. I kept posting hp forum. This forum is very helpful. My problem was solved. The last couple of weeks I am facing display dim brightness problem. This problem annoying me very much. I am posting this problem. But Problem isn't solved.
I do reset my laptop .after resetting this problem wasn't solved for few hours.afterit show the same problem.
I am also doing recovering . But The problem wasn't solved.
When laptop plugged in this problem is not shown. now I am using the laptop with plug.
