I recently bough an Omen laptop and the first thing I tried to do was reverse the scrolling direction when using two fingers on the touchpad. I would have thought this would be as simple as clicking an option but there was no such option. After searching and googling I still was unable to find it. I talked to two technitions for over an hour and they both said that this extremely simple option is not available.

 

When I go to settings -> devices -> touchpad there is nothing for scroll direction. When I go to additional settings there is no tab for the touchpad. I installed new drivers for the touchpad but there is still no touchpad tab in the settings.

 

Is there a way to do this or is this simple and universal option for some inexplicable reason not possible?

I recently obtained a new HP pavilion about two days ago and only downloaded two or three games. The first day it worked phonominally but the second day I had major drops in performance and FPS. for example, when trying to paly COD MW2, I would go from 100+ frames to 6 and below for a couple of seconds. it made it unplayable. It would shoot up again then drop again. I tried figuring it if it was the game so I lowered the graphical setting (this game came out in 2009 so it shouldnt be the graphics) but still had the same problem. After, I tried different games such as league and overwatch but they experienced the same type of performance of constant frame lose when just the day before both games ran extremely smooth on high graphical settings. I searched the web to try to find a fix when I realized even my browsing having perfermance drops. I have been on many HP posts and it seems that this is a common problem with HP laptops. I tried all their solutions but nothing helped. I updated all my drivers and operating systems, I went through the Nvidia control panel and changed things to run for performance, changed the battery type for performance mode. Im at a lose. I feel that this is rediculous to have to deal with this kind of problem when the thing is brand new. I even factory reset the **bleep** thing and it still had the same issues.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get my on screen keyboard to pop up ? Since the update my on screen keyboard doesn't pop up anymore.

Hello! 

I'm having issues while playing videos in VLC Player. Practically after 3 seconds, the screen starts dimming. Brightness is set to Maximum. In Intel Graphics Settings > Power, every option is set to Maximum performance (Battery&Plugged In) and I've disabled Display Power Saving Technology. Can you please help me? The Display is already dim while set in the maximum, let alone when the brightness is lowered.

Hi,

I have recently bought HP Pro x2 612 G2.

I have to connect a Projector with it as I bought it for some office work and giving Presentations to Client is part o fmy job. 

I have also bought a 'Type-C to HDMI' connector with it so that I can connect HDMI cable with it as it does not have HDMI/VGA port. But When I connect HDMI to my Prox2, its gives only 1 display and 'No Signal' Message is shown to the Projector.

Need Help. Otherwise buying it, would be waste of my money as w/o this I have no use of it.

Hello,

 

I cannot disenable the trackpad on my notebook.  I have ForcePad installed but it doesn't seem to work.

Can anybody help ? it is very frustrating.

Hi, I have an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible,

Product Code: Y3X17EA#ABZ

After windows 10 update, I cannot connect neither a second screen, nor a tv, via HDMI, while before I could do that with any problem. I have already tried all the possible updates of drivers for any component and also tried a rollback of the drivers to a date previous to the windows 10 update.

Please help me!!!!

I've updated the drivers and everything else. It happens randomly like when I'm just browsing, watching videos on YouTube or even just reading from a pdf file. The screen flickers black-ish, horizontal, not quite square things. I can't really describe it, but it's not just black. I've experienced this months ago, but was dismissed as simply a need for updates on software. I hadn't experienced it again until now, so I don't really know anymore if this is just an update issue.

Hi HP Team,

 

My laptop desktop dose not shows when I log on. Only the start menu shows on the screen. The start menu is like a curtain covering and hiding the desktop. I am unable to access the desktop and such need your help.

The touchscreen doesn't  work.

it's the same for the audio!

 

in addition I can not find the related drivers on the network.

How is it possible?

I first started having issues with the network not connecting to a WiFi source, even though there was nothing wrong with the actual network. I “forgot” the network, ran the troubleshooter, etc. to no avail. The next issue came when the display started glitching. I began a reset on the computer in hopes it would resolve both issues. As it was resetting, the screen continued glitching. I took a video of it. It looks like in a horror movie when the TV screen starts flickering. Upon the finished reset, I am still unable to connect to a network.

Turned it on, mouse appears on screen as usual,
Except no where to log in anymore! The clock & date is still on left bottom & battery+aeroplane symbols appear on right bottom & the odd thing is the screen now says windows sign in, in blue but on a white background & a single vertical thin blue line on left of screen & a small square that's white with a blue square inside it and everytime I click on it everything disappears and can not log in, I tried the F11 every second till it turns on but nothing,!!
also cant turn off tried the off button but when I turn it on exact same thing.. I would really appreciate it if someone can help really really would, cheers

The touchscreen is getting taken over by phantom touches to the point where I can't even get on to my computer or control it at all.

I have a spectra X 360 and the rotation button is greyed out in both settings and in the taskbar. I have tried flipping to tent mode and it still doesn't work. All of my updates are complete and I have run windows troubleshooter for hardware to no avail.

Hi all,

 

I am using an HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 Base Model, and I am running Windows 10 Home Edition.

 

Until recently, I was able to use "fn"+f3/f4 hotkey combination to adjust the screen brightness manually. I cannot do that anymore, possibly because of some software update. (I can still use hotkeys to change system volume though)

 

I tried updating the monitors and display adapters drivers from the device manager, as you can see below:

 

This did not fix the problem. I also tried to disable/enable the generic pnp monitor, as recommended in another HP support thread. This didn't help either. Any ideas?

Hi there. Just recently, my keyboard ran into a problem so I had uninstalled and reinstalled it. I think at some point, I accidently got rid of the mouse driver during it. Yeah, very stupid of me. Everytime I go back to the device manager, the mouse or other pointing devices option won't show. Even when I made sure hidden devices were being shown. Is there anyhting I can do? If so, thank you for any future help.
