Touch Screen Feature

I have been looking for a HP stylus that works with my *laptop*, however I haven't found any that say they are operable with the HP Laptop 15-bs0xx.

Would I be able to use any kind of stylus to work with my touch screen? Are there any that I can use?

Hi team,

My new laptop gives an audible "cricket" sound  since the first day.  I've been on the forum looking for possible topics about similar situations, and i've updated the BIOS version from the HP website product page, but the sound remains the same.
I would like to know how best can I solve this.

Thanks for the response

Thanks to anyone willing to help.

Hi,

I want to connect my HP laptop 15-ay044TX to two external monitors and split the display

I want to connect my HP laptop 15-ay044TX to two external monitors and split the display across those. My work was selling off old equipment so I got two monitors and a 3005PR USB 3.0 port replicator which seemed like it should do the job but I can only get a poor image on one monitor. I'm running windows 10 home on my laptop and suspect that the port replicator is too old to support windows 10 (tried dowloading updated software with no luck).

Suggestions?

I want to connect my laptop simply to one device rather than hooking up separately to each monitor. For example, at work my (different) laptop simply sits on top of a little block (sorry - I'm not terribly technical) which serves as the charger, hub etc and is connected to the monitors and keyboard so that when I sit at my desk I work from the two monitors but I can also pick up my laptop and take it to use in a meeting.

What's the best and simplest way to achieve this please?

Tablet mode not automatically recognized, keyboard still active during tablet mode & no auto-rotate.

My laptop no longer recognizes when i switch to tablet mode automatically. Also, when i do switch it manually it is still responsive to keyboard inputs, which means i can't hold it or i have to make deliberate attempts to avoid touching a key or even the trackpad. Furthermore, my screen no longer auto-rotates.

The specs for quadro k610M  say it can do up to 2560x1600 but I can't get the right mode on my 2560x1080 monitor when connecting from the display port. This laptop is supposed to be a minor upgrade from an elitebook 8470p which displayed that mode properly.

Is it possible to get this mode on my zbook?

So it even does it thru this website on a youtube player.

It isn't every video but some to most even youtube videos, since yesterday, have started to play extremely zoomed in.

Has anybody heard of this?

What's going on? How do I fix this?

On enternet explorer and chrome this is happening, but only to some.

Any ideas welcome.

Thank you

Hello. In my laptop is a video card Radeon 530 (ddr3 - 2GB) In the task manager, as in many other applications, not 2GB, but 384 Mb are displayed. Screenshots are attached below. The manufacturer (HP) said that this problem should be solved with the manufacturer of the video card. I use the original software settings (17.7) Drivers of version 18.2.1 did not solve the problem. The latest drivers are the same. In games there is an installation "High performance" I use this laptop: HP 15 bw065ur Radeon Software Version - 17.7 Radeon Software Editorial - Crimson ReLive Chipset Graphics - AMD Radeon R5 Graphics The amount of memory is 384 MB Memory Type - DDR4 The core frequency is 758 MHz Windows version - Windows 10 (64 bit) System memory - 6 GB CPU Type - AMD A10-9620P RADEON R5, 10 COMPUTE CORES 4C + 6G Video card manufacturer - Powered by AMD Chipset graphics - AMD Radeon (TM) 535DX Device ID is 6900 Vendor ID - 1002 Subsystem ID is 8333 Subsystem manufacturer ID - 103C Editor id - 83 Type of bus - PCI Express 3.0 Current bus parameters - PCI Express 3.0 x4 BIOS version - 015.049.000.017 BIOS component number - SWBRT25108.001 Release Date BIOS - 2017/08/24 06:26 The amount of memory is 2048 MB Memory type - DDR3 Memory frequency - 1000 MHz The core frequency is 1021 MHz The total memory bandwidth is 16 GByte / s The data transfer speed of RAM is 2.00 Gbps

How to connect dual monitors to Pavillion 14-bf054sa

$

Just bought the Pavillion laptop 14-bf054sa and want to connect to dual HP monitors for an extended workspace. Issue is that this laptop only has one HDMI output. It does have a USB-C output which I thought couldve been used but after trying a USB-C to HDMI adapter, it doesn't look like this was supported. What else can I try?

Thanks and regards

While working on the laptop the display suddenly went dim. I tried all the possibilities to increase the brightness but no use. I opened back cover and found small flash at display /screen cable connector and and first two / three tracks are ruptured on the zip cable. still I am getting dim display.  Even camera on the screen is not being detected by processor.

Please suggest what best can be done to bring back my system into normal.

Spectre x360 - When in tablet mode keyboard won't show and the entire bottom taskbar won't work

Hi there,

When I fold the screen and use the latop in tablet mode the virtual keyboard won't show, all I see is the top shadow of the keyboard but where the keyboard should be there is nothing.  Also, the bottom taskbar won't work in this mode either, i.e. the windows button, cortana search on the left and all the icons on the right won't respond to touch.

Any ideas as to how this can be fixed?

Many thanks,
Dan

I'm having the same issue with my HP 1+ year old notebook (Product name:  HP ENVY x360 Convertible 13-yoXX; Product Number:  X7U84UA#ABA).

When I run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (v.  ), the Video Extended Memory Check returns the Result = FAILED, but dashes in the columns for "Instance" and "FAILURE ID").

How do I troubleshoot from here?

Okay getting really frusterated.

I have tried every setting to ensure maximum screen brightness.

So please do not respond prompting me to go to Advanced Power Options and Disable the Adaptive Brightness.. already been done... All my settings in power options are all the way to the right. ( max brightness)

And however.. as soon as I unplug my power source the brightness still dims. Once I plug it back up its back bright and vibrant. Please help !

Laptop cursor jumps

$

Hello all,

This is more of a service announcement than a question - but I am also hoping the HP will take notice and release a patch or update that solves this problem permanently for this model of laptop.

Every single time Windows does a major update, my cursor goes back to jumping around the screen and randomly clicking things. It gets worse and worse for about 5 days until the thing is utterly unusable.

I have tried all the usual things - unplugged my mouse, disabled my track pad, updated drivers on every thing you can think of, and scanned for viruses using like 7 different programs.

After getting close to a mental breakdown, I discovered the problem is caused by the touch screen (even though its clean and undamaged). Specifically, the pen interface seems to be incompatible with something Windows is doing. The solution appears to be to disable the pen function. By disabling the pen, I forfeit my ability to use a stylus, but at least I can still use the touch screen and the cursor stops its infernal jumping.

For those of you out there with this problem, here are the simple steps I took:

  1. Click Win X
  2. Click Devices
  3. Click Human interface devices
  4. Right click on HID Compliant Pen and select disable

I would recommend that HP investigate this issue. I would like to reiterate that I have tried MANY other fixes. This is the only one that works, and it works every time. This suggests to me that it is an issue specifically with the compatibility between HP's hardware and Windows software.

I hope this post helps others and that HP will look into the issue on their end.

I just purchases my HP Omen Notebook, and have now noticed that there are 5 mm size red blebs, that are visible when the screen should be displaying a black image.  Each bleb is larger than one pixel in size.  The defect is not noticible unless the screen is displaying a black image.

Normal screen into touchscreen

Hello everyone. I am not completely sure this is the right topic for my question but I'll shoot my shot.
I own an envy 15-j023c with the normal screen. I have found a refurbished touchscreen for the envy 15 j, but i am not sure if they are compatible. Even after opening the laptop i dont known what to look for, so i resorted to asking you guys here.
So the final question is, can i make a normal envy into a touchsmart one by simply swapping the LCD assembly? Thanks!
