My Pavilion 15-au123cl laptop was purchased May, 2017. The touch screen worked perfectly until I installed the new WINDOWS-10 upgrade. Now it only works when first booted for 1 or 2 minutes before it installs an AMD configuration over the legacy INTEL touchscreen driver. The AMD driven device list now only contains the HP Wireless Button Driver and the USB (generic) Input Device.
The WIN-10 Upgrade deletes 5 HID-compliant devices, including the touchscreen and 2 vendor-defined devices (keyboards), all listed below, leaving just 2 HP/generic HID-components, (the HP Wireless Button Driver and USB Input Device), effectively downgrading the usability of my 1-year old HP (Intel driven) laptop.
BEFORE WIN-10 UPGRADE: POST WIN-10 UPGRADE:
Human Interface Devices: Human Interface Devices:
1. HID-compliant device HP Wireless Button Drive
2. HID-compliant device USB Input Device
3. HID-compliant touchscreen
4. HID-compliant vendor-defined device
5. HID-compliant vendor-defined device
6. HP Wireless Button Drive
7. USB Input Device
The physical and virtual keyboards also have become capricious, jumping around - backing up, missing the target frequently. It appears these drivers have also been deleted.
Intel and AMD motherboard functionalities do not match. As it now exists, this HP Pavilion is so disfunctional as to be worthlessness for work. It has taken hours to compose this description of complaints because of these HID problems.
I've cut and pasted the following installation notation - proof of the amd64 replacing my Pavilion Intel64 drivers:
Driver Management concluded the process to install driver input.inf_amd64_11dbc08457d9df0d for Device Instance ID HID\\4&3E5393D&0&0000 with the following status: 0x0 HPQ6001
I am having the same issue on my M6-ar004dx. I have installed the most recent drivers listed on the HP support page (sp84755) and the Radeon software is the Adrenalin version 18.5.1. In device manager, the monitor is listed as generic pnp monitor with a driver date of 6/21/2006.
When I first purchased the laptop, AMD Freesync was enabled but now it says that it's not supported.
The driver for the UHD620 is seriously outdated and it is not possible to update via intels website since you (HP) have to modifie the driver to fit your system, so far so good, no problem there, but the nevest driver from intel for this specific model is over nine (9) months old (i'm talking about the one, you have in your download drivers section on this page of yours) and the nevest driver from intel is probably a month old, it is causing me lot's of errors and programs not working since thy all want the newest driver (understandable, since the newest update properly contians vital error corrections and other improvements) so would it not be poissible for you here on HP to make a new update for the UHD620? so i don't have an outdated driver making my system unstable and laggy, i don't get why i have to settle when i have bought a pretty expensive system from you, and i rely on the graphichs to work for me to do my work, that is not good service, the last 3 laptops i have had, have all been from HP, and so far i have been satisified with the system, since this problem never have occured before, so would it be to much to ask that you get this update in order, i would hate to sell this system i have now and find another brand that dont have theese issues.I really hope that this is going to be fixed, since HP always, so far, has been a leading brand in my mind

Trying to find an active stylus that works best with my laptop. Some reviews that I've read have told me that the HP Active would work, but then said that it doesn't work on older models. Has anyone else found one that works for them (please leave links if you have)?
I have problem with the screen.
Even after replacement of the screen I see some backlit panel light leaking from the bottom as shown in the image below.
Laptop is not under warranty anymore.
Can somenone suggest me a way ?
I keep getting failure notices for graphic driver. The laptop is a CQ-57 upgraded form Windows 7 to Windows 10. When I attempt to get information on Graphics Drivers for the laptop, therte are none shown past Windows 8. I can't believe HP?COMPAQ would not have drivers for the Newest Operating system.
I am trying to contact HP support ( Australia or Asia ) to try and buy a new video cable for my laptop but cannt find any way of emailing them. I am currently overseas ( in Bali ) and cannot call them on the Australian # ..... can anyone assist me to find a way to email them with my request ................????
Hi, I am going to buy this model of laptop. I am looking for its full description but cannot find it.
Does it support a stylus? which type? will it work with a surface pro pen?
How many pressure levels are there?
Hi
System specs:
Monitor: HP EliteDisplay E273q 27-inch Monitor
Laptop: Macbook Pro 13", 2017 with thunderbolt 3 and macOS 10.13
Does this monitor support a usb-c to usb-c video connection to the mac without any additional (DP) adapter?
In case it matters: External USB devices (keyboard, mouse) do connect via the monitor and a usb-c cable, but it says "USB-C video: inactive" in the onscreen display and the monitor hibernates after a few seconds.
Thanks in advance.
I have rolled out of 200 of these laptops and this is the first time i have seen the privacy screen stuck. Restart, hard reset didint fix the issue. Is there a way to disable this feature and reenable it
I have problem with the immages in my video...I have blur images. The pc is new . I received it 2 days ago. What I have to do? I left the resolution suggested for FHD....but images are blurry
Hi,
I bought the high end HP spectre x360 (model 13-ae030ca, serial number [removed per Rules Of Participation]) and it doesn't seem to have the working HP Sure View. Although, when looking at the product specifications on the HP spectre x360 page (https://store.hp.com/us/en/mdp/laptops/spectre-x360-211501--1#!) it DOES say that it is included in the 13 inch models, confirmed by the fine print of this spec. Here are the fine print listed on the page, about the HP Sure View:
12. Available on 13" diagonal models only
14. Privacy screen may require software or other 3rd party applications to provide the described functionality.
I do have the 13 inch model (the highest priced model), and if I need a software or 3rd party application, which one are they?
Thanks for your help!
Michael
I do have a problem with my brand new notebook. the touchscreen is not working and there is no driver listet in the device manager. what should i do? I've tried to install a driver but it was not possible. It's really frustrating... there is only an wacon driver wich can not be activated, reinstalled etc.

So i replaced a screen on a HP 15-F100DX laptop with a smart touch screen, and now the laptop will not work, the screen in black and the only light that comes on in the wifi and power light. So i hooked up the hdmi cable and nothing, wouldn't even project to the external screen, so i put the old one back on and nothing dead black screen also. The battery is fully charged and i removed the battery also and tried to turn it on and nothing. As far as i know i did everything right when i replaced the screen and i check the video cable to make sure it was pluged in, also checked the serial number against the old screen with the new one. I have the correct replacement screen.
Remedy for erratic moving pointer, how to repair / fix the problem
Hello,
This is my first time posting. I am wondering if HP sells single replacement keys or will I have to replace the entire keyboard? I also need the touchpad keys if possible. My product is the HP 15 ; 15-f233wm. Please forgive me if this is in the wrong message forum/board.
Thanks!
