Issues with running powerpoint on X360

On X360 running certain powerpoint presentation we get message that graphics card not configured properly

and when the slide show runs it freezes up on/in between slides and has jerky animations.

It does not happen with every powerpoint presentation.

What has been tried:

-Disabling/Enabling the Hardware Graphic Acceleration

-Removed all add-ins.

-Added "DisableSpriteClipping" to the Registry

-Uninstalled/reinstalled office.

-Uninstalled graphics driver in device manager and restarted

-Reset graphics display adapter drivers to older version

-Updated the HP drivers: graphics card, BIOs, Chipset, Firmware

-Made sure the printer default is setup properly.

-Changed file type to .pptx and .pptm

-Manually recreated entire presentation in new file.

-Deleted Temp Files

-The file does it on other x360 machines, however open fine on other PCs, Windows 7/10

-It even does it in safe mode, on and off the docking station.

System: HP Elitebook x360 g2, Windows 10 (1607), MS Office Standard 2010, 8GB of ram, uses 50% of CPU when doing animations.

On the internet we've seen lot more of similar issues related to Nvidia cards.

Any idea's?

Envy 13-y023cl HDMI out resolution?

I bought my daughter an HP Envy 13-y023cl for going to college. I started looking around for an HDMI monitor to hook up when she's in her dorm room, and I realized I have no idea what the max resolution of the HDMI output is. The specs don't even say whether it's full-HD or 720p (I assume it's at least full-HD), but I'd really like to get a higher resolution external monitor if possible.

So does anyone know what the max resolution of the 13-y023cl HDMI port is?

Thank you!

Bryan

Vertical Lines or sometimes blank on the right side of the screen. 1/4 portion of screen becomes blk

I am getting a Blank screen or sometimes vertical lines on the right side portion of my screen. Just the 1/4 part of the right side are becoming blank or gets the vertical lines at times. Even before booting-up (POST) or just right after i press ON the power, the right side becomes blank already. Could it be the a Screen issue? BIOS just got updated, Win 10 64bit, Drivers are all upto date, HP Support assistant made all the updates, Windows aupdates are all done too, did the hard reset several times, but still getting the issue.  Whenever I move the screen up and down, it gets back to normal. But still intermittently getting the issue. When it gets back to normal, no dead pixels or even a mark of line is showing up on the right side of the screen. Sometimes even if im not moving the screen and while im in the middle of something, the issue goes back again. So I have to move the screen again to get it back to normal

Please inform me on how to reactivate my touch screen. On yesterday evening I attempted to turn  my screen down,  and plug into my desk monitor. The keyboard would not work. I then flipped it back over and just left the laptop monitor upen and still used my desk top monitor.

Now, my touch screen has been deactivated. Please advise.

Keyboard shutting off when using Stylus in Tablet Mode

Just got an HP Envy 2-in-1 and absolutely love it. I do have one question, however. When converting from tablet mode to laptop mode, the keyboard ceases to work. Instead of typing, it will instead do whatever the key would when holding CTRL (i.e. t opens a new tab.). I have searched and searched and couldn't find a single answer.

Flickering screen issue (from bottom half downwards) on HP Spectre x360 13" 4K since day one

I have switched in January 2018 from Mac (2010 MBP that is still working flowlessly after 8 years of use) to Windows (HP Spectre x360 13" with 4K display, Intel i8, 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe M2, W10 PRO x64).

Since out of the box, my HP laptop's 4K display has been flickering (from bottom half of screen downwards) at random moments.  When I removed it from the box and configured it, I showed it to my colleagues.  They were amazed, then after 10 minutes of use, the display started to flicker.  They all laughted at me and said that I'd better return it and get my money back.  I first contacted HP Support who told me to update the display drivers, but this never fixed this random issue.  I was hopeful that this issue would ahve been quickly sorted out.  I read multiple HP forum and I noticed that everyone using this laptop , has this same issue and there is still no solution.  I keep installing every new Intel display drivers as they get released, hoping to get this flickering issue fixed, but so far no luck.   I tried all suggestions from web forums, but none solved this flickering issue.  BTW, switching to 30Hz is not a solution for someone who purchased a laptop with a 60Hz 4K display.

It's amazing that HP doesn't even acknowledge there is a real issue that needs to be addressed.  It's very disappointing to see this type of behavior destroy HP's reputation.  I've had my Laptop for 5 months now.  I really like it, but this issue disgusts me, specially as you can't predict when the flickering is going to happen.  I should have returned this laptop on day one.

Can HP address this random flickering issue on their HP Spectre x360 laptops?

Display not working correctly with MS Escel

Is there a way to boost the video memory on my laptop?   At least I think that's what I need to do.

When running MS Excel, the display "misbehaves," for a lack of a better word.  An example:  Working on a calandar of schedule, I will press enter, to move down after an entry.  Somewhere on the calendar, not always having to do precisely with my last change, the border at the botom of a week will double itself.  Or half the calendar will shift to the right several columns.  Those are the 2 primary behaviors I am refering to.  If I page down or page up, click the task bar, ALT TAB out & back to excel, the problem resolves.  This problem ONLY happens with MS Excel, and only on this laptop.  My desktop is also Win7(64bit) Pro, with Office 2016 - no problems.  My field laptop is XP running 64bit and MS office 2016.

There is one other thing it does that makes me think it may need more video memory issue: when I open a program, the icons on the taskbar all whiten out... no color but white... then fill back in.

This system is a HP ZBook 15" G3, i-7 intel core processor, 16G memory. I do have the display set for 125% which is default size.

I included a picture. The second line under Fathers Day doesn't belong, and will go back to correct.

Thank you for any suggestion!

Pen pressure not working on my Hp Convertible

Hi I recently recieved this laptop to use mainly for my drawings  and it has come to my attention that the pen pressure isn't working.  I use a bamboo pen stylus and the pen pressure will only work in windows ink space and only there.  I have tried using pen pressure with many programs such as Firealpaca, Medibang Paint Pro, and Paint Tool Sai with all of them having no pen pressure.  I have tried reseting my computer twice and still have had no luck with pen pressure.  If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

Ultrawide monitor unable to detect displayport connection from elitebook 820 g2

I recently purchased a used Elitebook 820 G2 with windows 10. I have attempted to connect it to my 21:9 ultrawide Asus predator z35 monitor via a displayport cable. I know that there is nothing wrong with the cable or the monitor as I can successfully use it with another laptop.

When I plug the cable in to the laptop a sound is made which indicates the input of a cable and in the display settings a second monitor does appear (any settings changed on this monitor revert back instantly), however the monitor itself shows no signs that a connection has been made.

It should be noted that I can successully connect via VGA, however it is not possible to display 3440 x 1440 via this connection.

I have tried unplugging the monitor from the mains for a few minutes but I am unsure what else to try. Thanks for any help!
