Windows Hello fails to recognize me (camera seems to start). Worked before but has stoped working in the last weeks.
I have tried many of the proposed fixes like upgrading the HP Camera driver, disabling the "spoofing" protection etc.
I would not like to roll back Creators Update except as a very last resort....
I have recently updated my ElireBook 8760w to Windows 10 Pro. All is well but the fingerprint reader no longer works. HP don't appear to offer support for W10 for this product. How can I get my fp reader working?

I have a issue. I have a Startech docking station USB3SDOCKDD.
I can get both my monitors to work. (They are Dell REV AO1). The issue is that they are displaying the same as my laptop screen. When I go into settings the 'detect' button 'cannot detect another display'.
These screens were both working this morning with my HP desktop pc.
What am I missing?

Hey, a month ago i updated my intel hd graphics 4600 driver from hp website for my pc. but after that the screen keeps tearing when i play games. i tried setting vsync on on the driver and on the games. it worked on some of the games. but it is still a problem on half of my games. before the update every game was perfect and smooth. And when i turn on MSAA in the games option the games start to lag and i can't play. so if there is any chance to downgrade my driver i would appriciate. i can't also roll back the driver from control panel. the previous version is deleted somehow.
Guys I need help. At this point i am fraustrated after trying every possible solution.
I have a dual monitor setup with my laptop ( HP ENVY m4-1015dx Notebook PC ) powering both. The laptop comes with both a VGA output and an HDMI port and that is how i am able to hook up 2 monitors to it. My monitors are both 24inch and display at 1920 x 1080 as that is the recommended resolution. I must say that since i move the latop around, i connect to different resolution monitors too. Which works fine. On thursday i used the VGA port with a monitor i always use at work and it worked very well. When i returned home, i tried connecting to the 24inch monitor via the VGA port and it shows no signal. The HDMI port still works well but the VGA doesnt. From display settings and the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 software it shows that the monitor has been detected and the system is in extended mode but there is no signal sent to the monitor. I have tried rolling back driver, udpating to new version, removing the battery, resetting the laptop by pressing the power button while the battery is out of it with no power cable connected, i have removed the CMOS battery. I have udpated driver to the latest, changed the operating system from windows to ubuntu (not an actual installation but a live boot from a pendrive while the hardisk has been removed from the pc just so windows wont conflict) . I have done windows update (but i keep asking why would windows update even work if another OS is also detecting the same way but not producing signal).
i tried connecting to a monitor i have never connected to before it worked. I tried with another monitor i have not connected it to before and it also worked. But for all monitors i have connected to before it wont work. One of the monitors told me in a flash that the resolution the system is using is out of the monitors range. I changed the resolution but still it didnt work. I have cycled through all the resolutions available and different refresh rates. And oh the monitors are working well when connected to different pc.
Please once again here is a list of things i have tried:

- Update
- Windows Update
- Resolution change
- My bios is already the latest version

I posted a few weeks ago about having trouble with my Spectre 360.
"I have had my laptop since August 2017. Since the beginning I have been having problems with the display flashing and flickering, freezing, and sometimes the screen will turn into a completely striped screen. This happens almost every time I use the laptop. For some reason I cannot find a video of the flickering in my camera roll but there are youtube videos showing the flickering I am talking about. Most of these problems will occur and the computer will freeze then I have to power down and restart using the power button. When the screen flickers it isn't frozen but it is virtually impossile to get work done. When that happens I usually have to shut it down for a few hours in order for it to stop."
I have reset my computer to factory settings, spoken with HP support and updated whatever drivers they have told me to update. What else can I do. Is there any way for HP to actually fix the computer. I believe it is a hardware problem and not software. I have videos of the screen flickering and pictures of the frozen striped screen. I want to handle this before my year warranty is up.

There is a grayish black area in the upper right corner of the computer screen. Does anyone know why and how to fix it? I have tried changing the brightest but it only brighten or darker the main part of the screen it did not change the upper right corner. It has not been dropped or stepped on so I am not sure why the upper right corner is grayed out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an HP mini. I have connected the laptop to an external monitor. When I connect the power cable to the laptop, the external monitor flickers continuously, whereas when the power cable is removed, it is fine.
When caps lock is pressed, the 2, w, s, x keys do not type the capital letters. Rather they produce the following,
2 - does nothing, but if you pressit a couple tmes it will produce five randm number (ex. 07824, or 82431}
W - goes up to the next line and types “OPu”
S - goes to Down and starts a new li e (as if “enter” buttn was pressed) and types, “L;J”
X - types “./m”
Note, the caps lock button light does not stay on, but goes on when a key is pressed.
All other keys work with caps lock pressed, meaning it produces the correct capital letter.
When I press the caplock key to produce lowercase letters, everything works fine.
Before this problem with the keyboard happened, I cleaned the keyboard with a anti static rag & 90% alcohol. I did this with the laptop off, but it accidently turned on. Once I noticed it was on, i stopped cleang and waited for it load to the log on screen of windows 10. I powered off and continued cleaning.

Hi, I have an HP Omen RX 580 laptop that has been great so far but I have run into an issue. I recently did an update to the grpahics driver and noticed that since then I no longer have the Freesync option in Radeon settings. The notebook had an older version that had not been updated in awhile I believe 18.1 but I recently downloaded 18.5 and now the option is greyed out and says "Freesyn Not Supported". I have tried messing with it and changin other settings but I do not see the option every coming back.
What should I do to resolve this or is this an AMD Driver issue?
I have the Envy x360 with the Ryzen 5 2500u apu, 8gb of ram, and a 1tb hdd.
Ive had various issues with the integrated graphics unit in my laptop. Videos in youtube pause and a green screen appears momentarily. Internet browsers will lock up and refresh. And worst of all, in Premiere Pro, open CL rendering is unusable. The footage inverts colour and this issue isnt fixed by updating premiere and is solely a GPU driver issue. The fact that there have been only one driver update despite numerous issues is terrible and this laptop is literally unusable for gpu intensive tasks. Does anyone know any fixes?
I bought my HP Envy x360 - 15m-bp111dx 6 months ago. Today I noticed what looked like a scratch...that has now expanded to a small spider web 3 fold crack near the top of my screen. I notified HP and they told me I damaged it. I assure you I did not damage it at all. It seems that others have had this problem. Now I have to send it back to HP. I have an online business and the 2 weeks this will take is unfathomable. Also, she kept telling me i damaged it and it is not covered by warranty. If I paid $1000 for a computer and the screen randomly cracks... after 6 months of careful use... I am just upset beyond words. In order to send it in for them to look at it I have to agree to pay to have it fixed and if they say I did the damage.. then they charge me either way to send it back to me or fix it. This is horrible customer service. I am amazed and sorely disappointed.
So I have no option but to let my business go for 2 weeks? And pay for a defective computer screen. ????
Vertical stripes have started to appear on my screen when I move it backwards/forwards on the hinges. The product is a HP Pavillion Notebook (15"), roughly two years old. Nothing unusual happened before this started to occur (the laptop wasn't dropped or anything) and I'm not experiencing any other problems. It doesn't look like the pictured examples of a cracked screen on the support pages.
Because it only happens when the hinges are moving, I'm suspecting a wiring issue, but I might be wrong. Does anyone know what might cause this and how to fix it?

I am in the midst of selling this Spectre 13t ,,, The screen is too small 13.3 THIS IS THE BEST LAPTOP I HAVE OWNED.... I looked for a Spectre 15.... nada,,,, The only 15 with a UHD 4 K screen is 4.5 pounds.... So I went and bought an LG Gram,,,,,, screen not quite as good,, but real lightweight.... WHY DIDN"T HP DO THIS WITH A UHD??????
