hello

I have an hp notebook product #: X9K28PA

product name :HP Notebook - 15-ay104tx

 

I had windows 8.1 on it and every thing was perfect.

 

after the windows 10 update the camera (HP TrueVision HD Camera with integrated digital microphone) stoped working and its not showing in device maneger at all.

 

I tried seaching  the product web page for drivers (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-ay100-notebook-pc/12499456/model/12732728 ) but the only thing related to the camera was the youcam and cyber link but nothing has changed after installing them.

 

I ended up fromating the device and installing a

new Win 10 pro 64bit. the problem was solved but after an update the same problem happend again, even though I disabled automatic driver updates from group policy editor.

 

so I basicly need the driver for the camera.

The screen on my HP Stream keeps changing size on it's own when I'm moving the curser. How do I stop this? I had, actually have, this same problem on my HP 15 which CS wasn't able to stop even after taking over the device. Any help appreicated as most Forum users seem to have more knowledge that CS.

I have an HP EliteBook x360 G2 that I have connected to an EliteDisplay E221 external monitor via a VGA.  Every 10 minutes or so, the monitor goes black and I repeatedly hear noises that sound like its disconnected, the Elitebook may flicker on (sometimes doesn't happen), then the display comes back up on the monitor.  This could take just a few seconds, or take up to 20-30 seconds with the disconnect noises over and over.  Its incredibly annoying and I'd like to get it to stop.  I'm wondering if its a driver issue but not sure.  I'm not very technically advanced.

We have a Spectre X360 13-AE020CA laptop bought in Nov 2017. We connect an external HDMI monitor via the included adapter (USB-C to HDMI). We tried different new monitors (for example LG IPS LED 22MP48HQ), but the display is always not crystal clear but blurry.

 

How can we fix that?

 

The laptop's resolution and display is super. No issues. We tried all options (duplicate, extend and second screen only) but no clear sharp image possible.

 

Should we buy an HP Docking station - USB-C? Or is it better to buy a USB-C to HDMI 4K cable to have a direct connection to the monitor and eliminate the included adapter?Or do we need to buy a monitor with specific specs?

 

My goal is to get a sharp image on the external monitor. Please help and comment.

HP EliteBook 8570w with HP 90V docking station, Nvidia Quadro video card k1000m, external monitor Acer GN245HQ (NVIDIA 3D Vision ready 120Hz) with active glasses Nvidia. Connected by a dvi-d cable from the monitor kit to the dvi-d connector of the docking station. 

Can not get Stereoscopic 3D Vision 120Hz.

Nvidia, for its part, does not see obstacles to the operation of technology in these conditions. It was recommended to contact the manufacturer of the laptop.  I will be very grateful for any help!

My HP w2338h was recognized by the Spectre x360 and works fine in duplicate mode, but will not work in extended mode. I think I've updated every driver I can, but nothing has resolved this. Is it incompatible in this mode for some reason?

Hallo!

 

Every time I use a second screen (or beamer) my laptop (Envy 13-ad081nd) loses  connection and I get a black screen for a couple of seconds. This happens quite often; a couple of times in an hour. This is quite anoying in a presentation.

 

I'm using the HP usb-c to hdmi adapter, because this laptop does not have hdmi. My usb-c port has a thunderbolt sign.

 

Does anyone recogonize this problem and know a solution? Thanks a lot!

Hello everybody, when cleaning keyboard i deleted videos from my disc D accidentally. The problem is that the size was very big and it didnt get into recycle bin so i could restore from there. If there is an opportunity to restore them somehow? thanks in advance

Out of my 10 HP Computers in my Office I have 5 HP Spectre x360 Laptops 2 of them are experiencing Battery Swelling running hot and one of the two has an issue of screen flashing assuming due to the expansion of the battery. The Case on these two x360's has recently bent so much that the laptop will not close and the touch pad is seperating from the case. Lap top will also not set flat on the desk. 

 

HP Battery Program Validation Unitility shows that there are no Recalled Battery in each of these two models (13-4005dx). But obiously there is a problem with the safety of these batteries!

 

As hot as this one is running I am a little nervouse about continuing use.

 

Please help my resolve this issue.

Hi, 

A few days ago, on the external display of my Notebook, appeared the presence of colored vertical lines or an alteration of the screen colors (for example brown becomes pink), but for a fraction of seconds. The effect disappears either by restarting the computer or by touching the screen.

 

What can be the cause?

I found that this could be from a damaged LCD that needs to be replaced with a new one or probably could also be due to a loose flat cable.

 

How much does the replacement of a new LCD cost?

 

In addition, among the key points of the guideline, there was a routine step in which asked you to install all updates detected by HP Support Assistant.

 

The problem may have been caused by a non-timely update of the Intel graphics drivers?

Wanted to reply to the people who are having this issue, though I suspect part of the problem is it's not being communicated well; the solution, as another person has indicated, is Start>[or CTRL-ALT-DELETE]>power>restart [hold SHIFT down]>Troubleshoot>[4]SafeMode......then, place your hand flat on the right side of the screen, this will "shunt" the touchscreen responses enough that you can then  Start>Right-Click>DeviceManager. Look under HID Devices, you'll see touchscreen, open it, then Driver>Disable Device. I tried the latest firmware for the display, updated from F06 BIOS to F34a, all new display drivers [not that that would help, but....]-nothing. It's pretty obvious that, in the OS environment, the display is defective. Telling someone to turn off their Antivirus, or do diagnostic scans, is well, less than competent. Had to repair this for a client, so I'm sure it's the right course. Good luck.

Ok so i was watching a video on youtube, but my chromebook was on its side. My mom was calling so i paused the vid and left. I was away for 10 to 15 minutes i vome back and i thought it was sleeping and i couldnt turn the screen on. It doesnt charge at all. Even though the screen doesnt show up, there is a little light showing that the chromebook is on even though the screen is off

.  I bought like 3 week ago and it was on its left side. I neee help please

I searched online for any pens that can be used on the touch screen of my Pavilion x2 Detachable 10-n200nd, but I was unsuccessful.

 

The HP websitehttps://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05166879/ does not mention the particular model which, nonetheless, is still supported by HP (it is not included in the discontinued products list).

 

Could someone inform me about which HP or other vendor's pen can be used with the particular model?

Hi,

 

i have Windows 10 Pro,1803 64bit  installed on my old Elitebook 6930p. Before the update for 1803 everything was fine but now i can't change the screen brightness. I've tried updating the PnP monitor and video card drivers but it didn't work. I know that this is an old pc but just before the update it was fine. Please help me if you can.
