hello, i am new here, i need to find a bios update to make a bootable usb for a retired dv9000 . the screen is unreponsive and gives 3 beeps and read it might be a corrupt bios. i tried everything listed like hard reset, reset memory and a bunch of other stuff. i only know that it is an intel dv9000 nothing matches on the body of the laptop. i replaced the motherboard years ago that i bought on ebay. any help would be great if possible ... thanks tom

Display top part dark when upside down
When I flip the display upside down, in tablet mode, the top part of the display becomes dark. The display is fine normally, as a laptop. This is not a software issue. I need to know if this is just my one, or all HP laptops have this issue. Any way to fix or getaround this?

cannot adjust brightness
i cannot adjust the display brightness and hdmi is not working after updating intel hd drivers.
it worked when i rolled back the driver. but somehow it got updated and now even after installing the previous driver, it's not working.

Brand new laptop...has awful display
This is a brand new (24 hours old) laptop. No matter what I do the display is simply awful. It is flat, grainy and difficult to read. I've adjusted brightness, but this doesn't help. The display quality is consistently bad on and offline regardless of app or use. Everything else seems good, but this is really nasty. What am I doing wrong and how can I resolve this matter? Multi monitor display for HP Envy 360 x M6
I would like to set up a 3-monitor (2 external and the laptop monitor) station for my HP Envy 360 x M6 aq105dx. I was told that the video card will support it but it has been a nightmare.
I originally bought a simple HDMI splitter and ran 2 HDMI cords from that one split port to 2 external monitors. It would display on both monitors but the 2 external were exact copies of each other and not extended. I was told by a help chat that this is because they were both coming out of the same port.
I now have 1 external monitor hooked up through my HDMI port and am in search of a way to connect the 2nd external monitor with one of the other ports. This leads to my big questions:
What ports on this laptop are video supported? Or which ones can I use to hook up the second external monitor?
I assumed that my best bet would be the USB 3.1 C port; however, I have now bought and returned THREE USB 3.1 C to HDMI adapters that will not work with the computer. Does anyone know of a USB 3.1 C to HDMI/DVI/VGA adapter that works with this laptop? (If there are any budget-friendly routes that would be much appreciated as well...I'm a poor college student so I don't need the 150 dollar USB 3 Tower will a ton of ports)
As well if anyone has had success with doing 2 external monitors with this laptop please help a guy out!

Spectre x360 backlit keyboard not working
backlit keyboard light is not coming up even after pressing the F5 key. It only turns on light for F5 key but for rest of the keys there is no backlit.
It used to work fine until now. It stopped suddenly. pls help.

HP x360 G2 Touchscreen stops working when entering Tabletmode
Hello
We just recently upgraded our PCs to version Windows 10 1709, and one of our users has an x360 G2.(we have very few of these in the organasation) After the update his touchscreen stopped working in tabletmode.
When he folds the screen or sets the screen manually to Tabletmode the touchfunction stops working.
We'v tried installing the latest grapics drivers and chipset, and he has the most recent BIOS.
Any ideas?

Issue with HP Probook 450 G5 connecting via USB-C docking station to external monitors
Hi,
I have bought the following configuration for several users at our company:
- HP ProBook 450 G5 i5-8250U 15.6FHD 8GB 1DDR4 256GB SSD
- HP USB-C universal dock (1MK33ET)
- 2 external monitors iiyama ProLite XU2492HSU-B1 23.8" LED
( the 2 external monitors are connected with DisplayPort connectors/cables)
All users with this configuration are having issues with the external monitors. Sometimes up to 10 times a day artifacts appear (vertical stripes) on one or both external monitors (never on the laptop itself).
Unplugging an plugging the USB-C connector fixes the issue.
However, as you can understand, this is very anoying for the users.
All laptops have been deployed a few weeks ago with all latest drivers and BIOS updates.
I was looking for a firmware update for the docking, but could not find one on the HP site.
Could anyone give me some tips or suggestions on how to solve this issue?
