I have a Spectre x360 late 2017 8th gen 13 inch laptop and this device is advertised to be a 1920 by 1080p device,it does so when i am on youtube but when i ran a screen resolution test, it said that my laptop was 1280 by 720p. When i checked my graphics settings, it said that i was on 1920 by 1080p and i dont get it?

Hp G71 Backlight works but screen shows nothing
The screen on the laptop was cracked could not see anything that it was displaying, however you could see colors and stuff when it was turned on like it was trying to display somehitng. I replaced it with a new LCD it worked for about 2 days, then went black. You can see the back light on but no images. I sent the screen back and they tested it said it was fine. I reinstalled it and still nothing other than the backlight. I can hook up an external monitor and see it once it loads windows. I tried goinng into safe mode by guessing where the options were on the screen as the external monitor will not show anything until windows is loaded. Nothing showed up on the external monitor, so I could not tell if windows loaded or not. Needing help fixing this issue.

How to Fix Touchscreen? Pavilion ab292nr
HP Support Assistant recommended I install a new video driver, SP85430. When I did, the touchscreen immediately stopped working, and all drivers relating to it are gone. When I look under Devices, there is nothing that shows this computer has a touchscreen. I have reinstalled the original driver, but my touchscreen till does not function and there is no reference to it under devices.

Videos from phone not showing

Online videos quit playing
While trying to watch a youtube video, I click on play and the screen is black. The bar at the bottom of the screen moves to the right as though it is playing, but the screen is just blank/black.

Cyberlink Youcam 5 and Windows 10 1803 - Won't exit
Youcam 5, fully updated using HP Support Assistant

Although Cyberlink Youcam 5 launches and seems to work fine,
The application just won't exit by any normal means I can determine, eg menu option from the top left corner or clicking on the window "x"
The only way to exit is to forcibly "End Task" using the Task Manager.
Fpr a machine purchased Oct 2013, it's otherwise still doing great!

Type C to Display Port
I connected the TYPE C port to the Display Port on the monitor using a Type-C to Display Port cable and it didn't work. Device Manager shows "Billboard" as the connected device, and there are no errors.
Using the same cable and monitor, I connected it to a Samsung Tab Pro S and it works perfectly.
I wonder if video diplay is supported for TYPE C port in HP Pavilion 15-CK020TX.
I read somewhere that TYPE C Gen 1 does not support video. However the Samsung Tab Pro S is also a TYPE C Gen 1 port.
I hope someone who had a similar experience and has resolved it will respond.

Is there any scren verification software on your laptop?
For wxample, to detect some malfunction on the screen if it exists, if this malfunction is software or hardware and would it fix a screen failure if a new system is installed.

Touch screen lagging
I have a Spectre x360 late 2017 edition with the 8th gen U series cpus. My device is about two months old and i have an issue with the touchscreen. It is lagging. For example, whenever i try to scroll down a page using my fingers on the touchscreen , it scrolls down very jaggedly and not at all fluidly as i believe it should. Apart from that, my pen input is also lagging, whenever i try to write down my notes using the pen included in the box with my model, it lags and it results in missing bits of input on the screen. What is the problem here?

Why can I hear videos, but not see them? It is just a black box
When I try to watch a video on you tube or facebook, I can hear it, but I cant see it. I just see a black box. If I click down on the timer, I can see little video boxes but not on the screen itself

Hp 15-p117na cracked lid above hinge
Hi. Somehow the back panel on my notebook has cracked. No damage to the screen just the lid it's right on the hinge so is difficult to open /close. I need to know if all 15 p versions are same as I am having trouble sourcing a replacement lid for my specific model. It's the touch screen version if that makes a difference. Any help /advice greatly recieved

Active pen issue when writing
Hello,
I have been having an issue with my spectre x360 since i bought the laptop around 6 months ago.
When writing with the pen, when the pen touches the screen small flicks are often drawn.
The following picture shows some writing and a line of plus symbols where i find it is most noticable.
The horizontal parts seem most affected with the upwards flick at the start of the line, however some vertical lines are also affected.
I have also drawn some straight lines by sticking a rular to the screen. There seems to be wobbles in these lines too.
I use the laptop for university and be without it until the term ends as i use it every day, so is there a fix for this or should i be asking for a replacement from HP?
I do also have the infamous wonky hinge so I am a bit disappointed considering the price tag.

WINDOWS 7 DRIVERS
We recently purchsed a training laptop and did not want the windows 10 os that was preinstalled. I installed windows 7 but had issues with the drivers not rolling back. I was able to get everything but the PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller, PCI Simple Communications Controller, Unknown device, and Video Controller drivers. Does anyone know of compatable drivers I can use.

Netflix changing color saturation tone
I'm facing problem while seeing netflix movies and series, the microsoft edge or netflix app are changing the color tone during the movie. Using chrome I don't have this problems.
