How to change the keyboard led color on my HP OMEN 15-ax201no laptop? Tried Omen control didn't work
I want to know how i can change the HP OMEN 15-ax201no keyboard light, already tried HP OMEN control and it didn't work. I was wondering if my laptop even supports keyboard light change. If so, can you please help me.

"Display driver failed to start" after Windows 10 1803 April update (Intel display driver)
After the Window 10 1803 April update I had the following issues with my display driver:
- Message in Windows: "Display driver failed to Start"
- Display Brightness was no longer adjustable.
- External display not working when connected after startup.
After doing several attemps to revert to an older video drivers as provided earlier by HP I managed to fix this. Allthough I am not sure what exactly did the trick, I hope this can be helpfull for you also.
- Uninstall all add-on softare used for presentation devices (WePresent / Barco add-on software to use these as a second screen).
- Uninstall the current display driver in Windows safe mode using the Guru3D display driver uninstaller. Note, if your disk is encrypted you need your bitlocker key to enter safe mode. In case you wonder, yes this tool can also de-installs the Intel driver.
- Reboot to normal mode, Windows now uses a standard display driver.
- Install the latest Intel driver
- Reboot
- If the driver still fails, go to Device Manager, choose the display and select "Uninstall device"
- Reboot
The laptop is now using the latest Intel driver Version 24.20.100.6025
After step 7 for me the issue was solved. As said I do not now what did the trick, but I hope this helps you also.

VGA to HDMI adapter is not working
I tried to connect my laptop with a vga to hdmi adapter to my hdmi monitor. The laptop makes a sound when i connect it to the monitor, but I do not see anything. I've tried to use schortcut and use the different display view options non of them works. I've tried the screen settings in Windows, but it is not detecting my monitor. Please help

HP Sloppy Scrolling
Scrolling on the HP Envy X360 is often quite sloppy. It's like a trying to move a shopping trolley via a rubber band: initial movement registers nothing and then eventually it accererates over zealously, deceleration is a similar affair.
I have opened the touch pad settings in Windows, adjusting the rather silly Lines to Scroll slider, but this only made the problem more annoying.
I also went deeper into the Additional Mouse Settings. Here I was able to change the scrolling speed, which made the delay shorter at the cost of having to deal with faster scrolling.
I also went into Smart Sense and removed the "Advanced Filters" which also seemed to help a little.
I just want it to scroll when my finger moves, the speed and distance my finger moves. Can you rewrite the the driver so it's accurate and snappy?

My graphics card collapsed while gaming
Hi,
The graphics card of my laptop keeps collapsing ( the screen goes black or displays some garbage ) while gaming. Then the system reboots itself automatically. The frequency is getting higher.
I have ran the component test.
The result shows that the Video memory is passed but not the processor.
Video(P) Failed, Code: MAKXVV-8N9948-MFPURG-Q2B403
What is the problem then? Should I send the laptop to HP to repair it?

HP Pavilion DV6000 video lags
Hello people!
I'm new to this forum, just made the account. I have an HP Pavilion DV6000, I got it for free from a neighbour a month ago, he said the screen wouldn't turn on. I fixed it now, it working fine. But one thing still annoys me.... Everytime I try to stream a video, be it Youtube or any other website, even offline, the video lags. It either freezes for a few seconds, it's super choppy and similar things. I tried to switch to Linux, but it seems it doesn't like it... I tried Windows Vista as well, same with Windows 7. Nothing solves this problem. I can't find an older driver to install, because I am starting to think the driver itself is the problem. Can you people help me? I spent too much time fixing it, I don't want to throw it away.

Problem with keyboard
Hi everybody, im writing this post because im having a problem with the keybord (PS/2 standard) of my notebook, an HP 15-bs009nl .
I've noticed that when i push some buttons, like backspace, (i'll put a screenshot of the buttons that doesn't work properly) they go to head instead of delete. Can you help me? This problem is vrey frustrating.

touchpad not responding on my Hp laptop. Model 15-ay039wm.
I followed the instructions to pull up the Run window but can't type anything in because the keyboard is not responding either. No mouse, no touchpad, no keyboard!. I also tried plugging in a USB cable mouse and keyboard but I don't know how to get it to recognize those.

HP Elitebook privacy screen does not consistently work
My new computer's privacy screen does not work consistently. Most of the time when I press f2 to turn on the privacy screen, it only dims the display. Is this a settings issue or does my computer need to be serviced?

Intel HD620 can't change brightness using FN keys after Windows10 update 1803
Hi to everyone. I bought new Zbook 14u G5 and after Windows 10 creators update spring 2018 1803 I have few problems. First was on Wifi RTL8822BE - after connect to wifi, first 10 pings to gateway was OK, than it randomly lags and latency was randomly good and randomly too high. New driver does good job.
But bigger problem is with vga intel driver. After windows update was resolution too low and it was exclamation in device manager - Intel UHD 620. I tryed all versions of drivers. Drivers was installed, resolution was OK, changing brightness in screen properties works. But changing screen brightness by fn+f3 / fn+f4 keys doesn't work with any driver. Second problem is, that screen lags. For cca half to one second - randomly (when I am browsing or when is gpu load starting to be just a little bit higher it lags.)
I tryed also drivers from HP site, but no change. Then I deleted all vga drivers and than manually tryed to install newest one from intel support. Drivers works, but nothing change. Problems are still here.
I tryed to browse about this issue but I can't find anything. Is it only my problem ? Or is it problem with these drivers or notebook models? Thanks for help.
I am a little bit disgusted from this new ultrabook, drivers are not tested. I spend so much time with LTE(it works only after restart windows), then with WIFI RTL8822BE(randomly high latency) and now it is problem with Intel UHD 620(brightness by FN keys and freezing screen for little moments)...

Laptop screen sometimes not visible
Have recently moved to new Home. Powered on wife’s laptop and it appeared nothing was happening. Then noticed lights flickering on keyboard but nothing on screen. Trying to figure out problem I was able to get a flickering display. Today I was only able (once) to get a very very dim hp logo in the middle of my screen but nothing more.
ive tried power only, battery only,both but nothing is consistent. I’m suspicious there may be some connection problem internally,
any ideas?
i was a software man for 25 years but didn’t fool around with hardware.

I can't use my fingerprint
Hello,
I bought yesterday an HP Envy 13 ad001la notebook. I tried to enable fingerprint scanner but I can't find where I have to go.
I tried installing HP recommended drivers, updating BIOS, installing HP Secure Pass, but it doesn't work. Also, it seems to be that Windows Hello isn't available on this device. In addition, I looked through Device Manager for Biometrical Drivers and them doesn't even appear on there.
I hope you have the answer. Sorry for my english.

X symbol on screen from left to right
Hi,
I have been using this All in one Desktop for a year and it was past week I started to notice faint 'X' symbol on the screen about a inch below from top and it runs horizontally from left to right. I thought it might be a software issue but it became more visible this week. When I checked with support they said the product is out of warranty and it went out of warranty j5 days before. I asked them if it could be serviced they totally denied it and they said it is going to cost me like 330$ for servicing this which is quite expensive.
I blame myself for being so stupid and not opening the case immediately but I also never thought HP support would be so useless. Just posting this here to see if there are any cheap alternatives.

Screen Glitching
Hi, I'm having issues with my display on my laptop. Two days ago, whenever I adjusted the screen it would glitch out such that there were horizontal lines flickering accross the screen and occasionally vertical lines, as if the image was being stretched until it is just lines. This issue went away for the most part for some reason. I'm having it sent to HP to be repaired but I'm concerned they won't be able to replicate the issue, any ideas as to what the problem is and why it's suddenly stopped almost all together?

Broken Screen HP Spectre x360 - 13-4040no
Hi,
I have an HP X360 Spectre that I think is a great computer for my use, I've had it for about 3 years and I´d like to keep using it.
About 2 months ago my screen started to act-up, it started to fade and there are strips coming along the screen. they will appear for a bit and then disappear and show up again shortly, the screen stops working but I can use it with a monitor.
I had a local shop looking at it in Whistler, BC - Canada where I live and they confirmed that it is the screen that is failing.
I asked them to replace it but they can not get the parts.
I have been trying to contacting HP about this problem for about 6 weeks now and it really starts to piss me off!
All I want to do is take it to a store or send it away, pay for the service, have the screen replaced and have it back. One would think that should not be a big problem at all. But I am just getting bounced around and sent around to different departments etc.
The "problem" from what I understand is that I bought the PC in Sweden where I am from but I now live permanently (I am not going back) in Canada and you don´t serve European units here.
I love this HP product and it´s been amazing but my experience with customer service is incredibly bad, is this why people choose Apple?
So who can I contact to have my screen replaced here in Canada? and why is it so complicated?

for hp 15-bs542tu why you are providing amd graphics card driver for this model?
i bought hp 15 bs542tu laptop. in this laptop there is no amd graphics card and also we cannot add the amd graphics card to this model but in your offical hp website you are providing a (amd switchable graphics card driver)
1.my question is what is the purpose of this driver?
2.and do i need to install this or not?
if yes, then why we need to install this driver without having amd card.

I have a problem with the touchscreen , its working at the top bar only
Since I purchase the HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-br0xx PC the touchscreen has never worked properly exept at the top bar only.
