How do i install the video driver?

Hi,

 I just bought a laptop HP Omen 15-ce008nq and i have some problems with video card.I installed the video driver for Intel video card then for nvidia.Both drivers are downloaded from HP web site.I can see in Device Manager both video cards and both have green icons, but when i right click on desktop to select the resolution i can only see the Intel video card.I can see the Nvidia icon in the notification area near the clock but when i click on it i have no option to select the resolution of the screen.Its like the only active video card is the Intel one not the Nvidia. What i am doit wrong?

please can anyone help a few days ago whilst using my laptop went on youtube and was watching a video went to put it in full screen and screen went black but still had cursor on screen restarted laptop and after putting in my password the screen is  still blank  with the cursor on, that works and responds without flashing, but nothing else. The screen clearly isn’t broken, because pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete brings up a menu, and the task manager works, it’s just the home screen displays nothing but a cursor, and nothing i seem to do helps. Hopefully someone knows how to sort this.

Hi,

 

I'm thinking about purchasing an external 4k monitor but am unsure whether this particular model of the Spectre supports HDMI 2.0 or not.

 

Also, would a USB-C to Display Port dongle be a better option instead?

The Keyboard design is extremely sensitive.  Just waving my hand across the board can cause it to open windowns I don't want or need at this time.  The keys should be backlit, as it is difficult to see in low lighting.  I believe this option may have been available and I failed to include the option.   However, my biggest problem is the layout.  I don't understand why the designers stretched it so far and added extra keys.  It is most distracting.  Finally, the screen size is constantly changing, increasing and decreasing in size several times, each time I use the Laptop.

 

ANY FIXES FOR THE ABOVE??

Dear HP,

I am using your brand for last 7 years and I never had any problems earlier. Suddenly black shade started appearing to the right side bottom of the screen.

That black shade will disapper when I tried adjusting the screen. Pls advise me how I can resolve this issue. thanks

Hi,

When I try to watch videos on fullscreen on a non-web browser app, like Windows Media Player, Movies, VLC, Hulu/Netflix app, etc. after a few seconds of going fullscreen, the screen color will dull. If I move my mouse/touch the screen, the color goes back to normal for a few seconds until I don't touch anything for 5-10 seconds. It does not happen if I watch videos on a web browser window like on YouTube, only on other apps. Also, it does not happen if the app is in windowed mode, only full screen. And it happens on battery power and on the charger.

 

Can anybody tell me how to disable this? I have looked in the HP graphics settings and the general display settings and can't find anything on it.

My new company issue hp Zbook studio G3 with windows  7 enterprise did not have function hotkeys initially working, and hotkey driver update fixed all but the display brightness adjsutment. I've installed all the other hp updates available but still can't get the display ones to work. The adjustment works from the control panel. Any thoughts on this issue are appreciated.

I have a HP 6830s laptop with Linux Ubuntu 18.04 installed. Please how do I  install and activate hardware acceleration?

My HP desktop running Ubuntu has hardware acceleration up and running.

Run google-chrome and navigate to the URL about:gpu:

chrome://gpu/

 

Graphics Feature Status shows Software only

where we would like to see Hardware accelerated

My touchpad frequently becomes "disengaged," requiring me to use my mouse to navigate to the settings to the Touchpad section, then to Elan where I Engage the touchpad again. This happens so often I have to keep a mouse connected or nearby at all times. I do not tap the top left corner of the touchpad. In fact, I have yet to find some way I've tapped the touchpad that is causing this.

Ideas? Solutions?  And in fact, I could not get off this box to tap Post until I went back to using the mouse.

. i have downloaded it and restarted my laptop and still my hp pen is still not being found. i have a hp pen model number 1MR94AA.

Hello guys

I am a proffesional artist and I wish to purchase an XP-Pen Artist22E graphics tablet for my work my estimated budget is from $100 to $ 1000 .

Ever since I've first come across this beauty of the product XP-Pen Artist22E ( https://www.amazon.com.au/XP-Pen-Artist22E-22-Inch-Display-Graphic/dp/B01M9EURM1 )drawing tablet it's been at the top of my list of things to save up for. The main reason I want it so much is the fact that it combines the full control and feel of traditional art with all the advantages of digital art. However it'll take quite a while to make the ~$800 that it costs.

If there are any XP-Pen Artist users out there, do you recommend it? What are the pros and cons?

Poštovanje, 

Imam laptop ComapQ Presario CQ56 problem je u tome sto mu se smanji vidljivost na ekranu odnosno nakon nekog perioda deskop laptopa bude blago crn, ali se i dalje malo vidi desktop. Primjer radi deset minuta i odjednom se ugasi i mora se sacekati da se sam ponovo upali.

Nadam se da sam objasnio ukoliko mozete da mi pomognete bit cu Vam zahvalan.

Hello, I have the same problem with my HP dv7-1180eg.

After updating to Windows 10 my laptop can´t read blu rays anymore.

The drive shows no disc in explorer.

CD and DVDs are fine.

The link in the post before doesn´t help

I am replacing an older Windows 7 HP Laptop with a newer  Windows 10 laptop.  I am connected to an HP Docking station (HP USB 2.0 Video Dock (VE022AA#ABA).   I have an external monitor, DELL IN1910N plugged into the docking station as well.  No matter what settings I use I cannot get the laptop to project to the monitor.  The monitor is on and is listed in the Devices menu but when I go into the display settings and click detect, it says no devices detected.   I have ensured that all of my drivers are up to date as well as all current windows updates.  I have tried both extending and duplicating the display.  Neither works.  I have scoured forums and tried all of the suggestions but so far have had no luck.    This monitor works fine with my Windows 7 machine.  Please someone help me.  I despise Windows 10.  Let me know if you need more into to help debug.

I have a loptop that has been shipped to my home and will arrive 4/16. A HP Envy 17T .   I have 2 existing 2K monitors 2560 x 1440 .  I was told by support that ordering a HP Elite C-Dock Docking Station( already received) I can drive both monitors.  I am concerned the Docking Station has only one HDMI support connection.   

 

 

Is this going to work?

I'm unable to fine on HP site or elsewhere any consistent information on whether this 2018  x360 supports tilt or not , and what pens can use this functionality if it does, and whether 2048 levels of pressure is the maximum supported by the laptop.

Given the lack of confidence I have in the product information , and the importance of tilt and pressure sensitivity to me, I will probably be ordeering another manufacturer's similat product, but given the price advantage of the x360 that is a pity.

Hello, recently my HP Pavilion dv4 entertainment pc screen has stopped working. Everything else works, i connected my computer to a tv with an hdmi cord and the screen shows up on the tv and everything works, but the screen on the laptop is just black. Any ideas? I don't want to lug around a monitor when i take my laptop to school...
