I recently Replaced the screen on my 4530s, and followed a guide to replace the screen correctly, was careful to not pinch any cables, and kept all electronics free of static. however, when I boot up the computer, the LCD screen turns on, but the BIOS doesn't display. keep in mind that the computer currently does not possess a hard drive, but before I replaced the screen, I made sure that the BIOS loaded on the cracked screen.do I simply have a damaged/crushed cable, or is there something I'm not noticing when I installl the screen? I've disconnected and reconnected the cable from the screen itself multiple times, and still have the same problem; I've even booted the computer without the bezel on to make sure it wasn't squashing any cables, but the problem persists.

Hi, i literally just bought this laptop yesterday, and all night I've been trying to get this to work. I typically use Painttool.Sai for drawing/art, I can tell the pressure sensitivity works in other applications such as Photoshop, adobe animate and the suggested programs pre-installed.... however, since I typically use and work with Sai, I'm trying to figure out how to get this to work.

 

I've seen a few other posts on her in regards to it not working with sai at least and im not sure if it just isnt supported? howeverIi have used a wacom tablet prior without problem on sai. If you know any information that can prevent me from spending hours looking for solutions online that'd be great.

I was interested in purchasing a stylus to use with my HP ENVY x360, but have read various reviews that the pen was not compatible. Based on the list online, my laptop was not compatible with any of the ones listed there. It is an HP ENVY 15-u010dx x360. Are there any stylus options that will work?

I have the same problem: instead of using the NVIDIA graphics card it's using the Intel one.

Please tell me whether or not you got a solution for this

Hello,

 

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. I'm going crazy trying to fix this. 

 

The touch pad on my Spectre laptop has stopped working properly. The biggest problem that I am having is that I am no longer able to click on drag on my right hand scroll bars in any program. I can still scroll using two fingers on the touch pad or by using the touch screen, but when I'm working, I generally prefer to just use the touch pad to grab and drag the scroll bar as I go. To be clear, I cannot use any scroll bars, even ones that pop up on windows within programs. The problem may be more generally clicking and dragging, but I am not certain.

 

On top of that, the click function isn't working consistently. Sometimes my laptop responds to clicks and sometimes it doesn't. And I'm unable to right click at all from the touch pad. (Two finger click.) I am able to do these things on the touch screen.

 

Also, when I plug in an external mouse, I am able to do all of the above. But I do not want to have to use an external mouse. I want to fix whatever settings so that I can go back to using my touch pad!

I recently bought an HP tilt pen for my laptop and have been trying unsucessfully to get the the pen to draw on the laptop but havent been unable to. The per works in presentation mode but refuses to write or draw in any of the features that im attempting to use it in. i have restarted the laptop after installing the pen and even went to youtube for help but havent been able to find anything that would help. im looking to use my laptop for graphic design but cant do so without my pen allowing me to draw with it. is there any way that i can fix this using this pen or do i simply need to return it and get a different one?

Hi David, 

 

Same issue as Satyabrata. 

 

the Middle Row keys Stop responding suddently. 

 

Mostly starts with A, then often graduates to s,d, k.l etc

 

And at times covers SOME keys (esp T) the top row too. 

they restart working at Random.  Peristing with repeated keystrokes of the non-responding keys seems to motivate them to respond on some occassions, and completely fails on other occasions.  Have to resort to using ONScreen key board to login most times. 

 

Followed your instructions did F11.  ALL KEYS were working in the Troubleshooting mode. 

All drivers are uptodate

It is very frustrating.  Cannot even log-in. 

Even typing this message was a pain as A was playing truant

Laptop: HP EliteBook 850 G3

GPU: Intel HD 520

I recently updated the Intel HD 520 graphic drivers from HP support site, using the revision 23.20.16.4877 Rev.W.

I cannot install the Intel generic driver because it fails, reporting that a custom version must be retrieved from the Laptop brand, and this is why I installed the HP version.

Since then, I get regular graphic freezes, every 5 or 10 minutes, and when it occurs, I get several lags/freezes per minute.

Looking at the Windows event viewer, I discovered a lot of warning in the system event view:

Event 4101 - Le pilote d’affichage igfx ne répondait plus. (The display driver stopped responding)

I'm going to revert the display driver to the old revision, since from now I have no idea of the cause of this bug...

Help would be very appreciated!

i discovered lately that my nvidia geforce is not working so i tried to fix and I looked in the internet and found a way, that says i must uninstall the driver and download it again, so before that i looked for the driver in the device manager and it was hidden, so i tried to enable it but i didn't work and it was showing that the driver is not connected,  so i uninstalled it and then i tried to install it after downloading it from the website of nvidia, but during the installation it showed that the driver is not detected, then i tried it from the hp support, but it showed the same thing.

Hi, I have a Pavilion dv6 and now there is a vertical yellow line on the screen all the time (a little off the center). The line appears the moment I turn my laptop on and is also visible in the BIOS. Moving the display lid in any direction or pressing on or around the screen does not make the line disappear. Please let me know whether this problem can be solved by changing the connector cable or the display needs to be changed. Thank you.

I  am a professional photographer and I recently purchased an HP Z27s to use as a primary editing screen tethered to a 2016 15" MacBook Pro via HDMI/USB-C cable.  For the life of me, I can't seem to match the whites between the Z27s and my Macbook.  The whites on the Z27s have a slight yellowish cast.  

 

I have unsuccessfully tried to calibrate using my Mac's calibration assistant and the RGB sliders on the monitor.  I spoke with an HP rep and he informed me that HP does not support Mac in the driver department and to post the question on this forum, so here I am.

Hi, so I've been using my HP Pavilion 17-e112dx for about 4 years and running windows 10 64bits for almost 2. Yestarday I decided to format and reinstall windows 10 64bits. Everything went well expect that I'm not able to install the most recent driver for the graphic card . It appears that "my system does not  have the minimum requirements for the installation to be completed". At least that is the messege I get everytime I try to install it.

 

I did install the previews driver but it doenst work very well, nor does the one windows installs automatically.  All the colors are kind of weird and all the letters have no definition. 

 

I did not have this problem before formating  my computer yestarday.

 

Also, my laptop is conected to a larger screen and the resolutions for that screen is 1920x1080 (it has always been connected to that) .

 

If someone could please help me...

I am trying to cast the tablet's screen to a HDTV using HDMI.  I see that HP has a micro usb-c to HDMI cable but it does list the Spectre X2 as a compatible device.  Has anyone done this or knows if it can be done.  If so what is the cable used.

I bought a monitor on Best buy. But I live in Brazil. And the HP here, tolded that they cant give me a support  beacause the product doesnt sell here. Its a import product.

Actually had 3 display set up using Sabrent USB external display adapter (DVI from monitor to adapter, adapter to USB port) for one screen and the other display connected to the DVA port.  Suddenly, DVA connected display showed that it was not getting a signal (dispaly showed no signal message then went to sleep).  The USB display continued to work for about 5 minutes and then went blank.  Display settings showed that USB connected display was present, but there was no output.  Not long after, the internal display started cycling on/off (display for about 2 seconds, off for same time, back on, etc.).  When I unplugged the DVA connected display, the blinking stopped.  I removed the USB display, observed the display settings and the display condition detected was accurate, i.e. I had only the internal display, none other connected.  With the USB display remaining unconnected, I reconnected the DVA display and I was back to the cycling condition.  Display settings did detect that other display, but the blinking continued.  Removing the display again, the internal display was back to normal.  Summary, for a period of years, my configuration worked fine.  Making no known changes to my system, settings, etc, I had a rapid decline to a condition where there is no configuration allowing me to have anything but the internal display.  Thoughts?

Good afternoon. At a notebook of DELL Inspiron 7577 (service tag CD224M2) in a system configuration on the website dell.com/support shows model of the discrete video card GTX 1050 4Gb. On the website in the description of this model there is information: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with a capacity of 2 GB, or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with a capacity of 4 GB. Information on service tag is obtained does not meet. What there model of the discrete video card actually?

I have a 7 month old HP Spectre x360 13in, with the official HP included usb-c to hdmi adaptor for use with my external monitor.

Problems with external monitor( ASUS PB278Q ) not displaying image properly, effects containing random black screens, which last 2-3 seconds before coming back on. Stutters can occur on the screen from time to time, coupled with a few pops from the speakers included on the external monitor.

 

Now, I had an old Dell monitor from 2009 with a different hdmi cable which i tried with the laptop as well, with almost identical results. 

 

So the problem does not reside in the monitor themselves.

 

I have updated the display drivers and the intel 620 graphic driver as well, no changes.

 

I have restarted the laptop, which seems to help a little bit, but after 10 minutes the same issues start occuring again.

 

Help me! I don't want to sell my practical external monitor or lose functionality of my less than 1 year old and very expensive laptop! HP i'm looking at you!!

Hi!

I have 2 external screens pluged in the HP Zbook Thunderbolt 3 dock with display port but i also wants  to have the laptop screen open at the same time so i have totally 3 screens but when i opens the lid on the laptop the signal to the two extranal screens dissapears so the screens turns off.

Is it possible to have the laptop screen and the two external screens on at the same time?

I want the external screens to be screen 1 and screen 2 and the laptop screen as screen number 3.
