Hi, I recently noticed a black mark about the midway point on the left side of my screen. It was made up of 3/4 small horizontal lines. I've noticed the lines getting steadily thicker over the past few days. I haven't pushed/pressed/damaged the screen in any way that I can tell so don't know how this has happened.

 

I was looking up other similar queries on this forum and tried the recommended 'massage method'. At first when I did this I noticed the mark starting to get lighter but now instead of thick black lines the mark is just fuzzy greenish/yellow lines???

It's only about a cm big but I'm worried it will cause problems if it gets bigger.

 

Can anyone suggest how to get rid of this mark? Will I have to replace my screen?

I have the HP Flyer Red laptop with a busted screen. I'm wanting to get a replacement for it without having to take it apart first. Just wondering what is the version screen I should be getting. I looking for one on Amazon and they have so many choices don't want to order the wrong one. Thanks.

Hi,

 

So today I installed an application which supposedly would allow me to record my screen but instead opened my webcam. I went to uninstall the application but mistook it for my inbuild Cyberlink YouCam application. I freaked out but recovered the application using the HP recovery.

I went onto a web camera app to test that YouCam was still running fine, only the screen came up completely green. I then tried to open YouCam but nothing happened. I right-clicked and chose "Run as administrator". It prompted me to select whether I would allow the application to make changes to the computer, so I selected yes. Nothing happened.

I tried every which way to open the application but none prevailed.

I then ran a troubleshoot for the application and the result was that YouCam was incompatible.

 

Any help with fixing this would be greatly appreciated as I have been looking for answers for hours now.

I HAVE a hp omen 15-ce007nv 1WR66EA with gtx 1060 and i have  Low FPS when laptop isn't plugged in.  everything from power management is set to best performance. the battery booster option on nvidia experience control panel is set to 60fps. is there any solution to this?

I am thinking of buying the new 15-bs115dx laptop. Some questions:

1.  Does it support Miracast? If so, what is the highest resolution than it can support?
2. Can it pass UDH over the hdmi to my UHD tv (which has an hdmi 2.0 input)?
3. Does it support both the 2 and 5 GHz wifi  bands?

I couldn't find any of these answers in the online specs.

Hi,

 

I'm trying to connect my display through USB C port I have on my lapop. I'm using a USB-C to HDMI adapter that works on my other PC (running Windows 10), and my Mac. However, my HP is not recognising this monitor (or that something is plugged in). Can you help?

my laptop is HP spectre x360 w000tu. yes it has thunderbolt3 port.

 

I at first tried usb c to HDMI(definietly ver.2.0, both gender and calbe are 4k 60Hz compatible) gender to display 4K on my 4K MONITOR which only has HDMI port and is actually TV

 

BUT IT ONLY DISPLAYED 1920x1080 60Hz....

 

Then I found this on the w000tu Maintenance Manual

 

USB Type-C port — (2) USB 3.1 Gen 2 with Thunderbolt™ Gen 3 technology
All ports support data transfer, power delivery, and HDMI 2.0 out up to 1920×1200 at 60 Hz

 

And This

 

 USB Type-C ports — (2) USB 3.1 Gen 2 with Thunderbolt™ Gen 3 technology
All ports support data transfer, power delivery, and DisplayPort 1.2 out up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz

 

So I tried

 

USB C TO DP gender + DP TO HDMI conversion cable  connection to my 4K monitor (All are 4k-compatible components and each are vaild according to reviews)

 

Eventually THE MONITOR SAYS 'NO SIGNAL', 

 

 

So my question is

Hi,

 

          i am an computer Technician last 15 yeears,  i try to replace led display screen for "Hp Pavillion g6 Model-2230tx"

written on bottom case when i analyse problem in laptop, i found display screen is bad, the no.of led screen is "LP156WH4"

I have purchase led display screen "LTN156AT05" by the suggetion of Whole Saler, but i replace screen they dont match

the screen is total white, so i want exact part no, and screen type accurately to fix this problem.my whatsapp no.9730946344.

Post Windows 10 update on this newly purchased Pavilion i have an ongoing issue with the touchpad whilst using the internet (works fine whilst not online e.g on word). It recognised clicks but allows no mulit finger functions or scrolling. Very frustrating. Any help apprieciated, Thanks.

I have searched multiple forums and this seems to be a very big problem and not being addressed as it should. I purchased a Notebook - 15-ay196nr in November 2016. I bought it to use for business purposes, got it set up, but then put it back in the box. I did power it up occasionally to update it and then put it back up as my other business laptop was still working. I brought it back out yesterday and my screen is doing the exact same thing. The flashing circles are happening over on the right side of the screen and every time it flashes, the mouse disappears over to the right side of the screen. I cannot get any work done. I did disable the touch screen and it will work now but if I reboot then it will come right back. This is horrible quality control on HP's part. They need to fix this and even though I haven't worked on this pc for maybe 10 hours total, it's unusable and obviously a product defect on HP. Of course, my warranty expired 4 months ago.

 

Is the display faulty at the factory I'm working properly?

                     Hello; I have a problem with the display of my newly purchased HP 250 G6, when I display a completely black screen I still have dark images you notice black waves of varying hue in a vertical position on the whole screen, in short, the display of dark or black screens not uniform but vertical wavy, this problem is not noticed when displaying screens of other colors but only with black, I was wondering if the display is faulty or is produced so it works properly? I also upload photos so you can see the problem well, let me know as soon as possible; good day.

Hi. I have a problem with the duplicate display.  I have Samsung TV, with HDMI port. I got DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. First, everything worked fine. After that, I had re-installed Windows 10, got the last update and when I want to extend my monitor to TV it won't work. First, I thought it was HDMI adapter, I got brand new one, HDMI cable as well. But nothing changed. When I put a cable in my computer, TV screen shows "There is no signal", but when I remove cable it shows "Check signal cable".  I've tried to plug in and plug out cable, adapter, restart the computer, tried other, brand new TV, another monitor, but nothing helped. Can anyone have any idea what I should do?

Synaptics touchpad sometimes works and you can see it in device manager and  under windows mouse control where you can change options for the touchpad.  Most times it dosen't work and there is no option under windows mouse control or in device manager when its not working.

I have the HP G5 450 and I have the 1366x768 display and I really want to upgrade to 1920x1080, is this possible? If it is possble how could I upgrade it? 

I can't seem to remove the bezel of the screen.

It's been a while and I forgot to update but here's what happened ultimately. They told me they would refund $100 back to my paypal account but that never went through and so they gave me a call several days later. The guy on the phone said that they would give me $125 credit for the HP store to purchase the HP Tilt pen when it comes back in stock (or anything else I wanted). So I said sure and bought a USB C hub instead and just decided to keep the regular HP Pen. So yeah lots of bouncing around getting different information from everyone. But I decided that I didn't really need the extra features of the HP Tilt pen since I'm just taking notes.
