I cant install the catalyst drivers etc on my HP Pavilion dv6-6c77sa
they were installed and I tried to update them and it crashed now I only have the intel hd graphics installed
it is windows 7 64 bit and I have set the graphics in the bios to fixed
my dv7-3165 entertainment notebook, running win 7 screen went blank tried rebooting, pulling everything, sit over night and still nothing. it will boot up i hear the start up sounds and when i put in pass itll finish booting but monitor is on but no video even if i connect to external monitor through hdmi or vga. can anyone please help
My computer displays the following message when trying to read emails 'Your screen resolution is set below our minimum recommendation of 1024 x 600 pixels' However this is the resolution the screen is set at but despite trying to change and save the resolution as requested the same message is displayed blocking access to our emails. Is there a resolution for this?
I have a quick question. Recently I bought 13-g110dx for work which requires lots of graphic related tasks and it was lagging a bit. When I did some research about graphic related topics, I found out in some products, you can actually changed the dedicated graphic memory to have better performance in most programs. I understand that will drain some portion of the system memory, so I was wondering if I could change the setting like that to enhance the graphic and buy another 4g or ram to cover up the usage. I really like this ultrabook but don't want to return this due to lack of graphic performance. Please let me know what could be done to improve :) thank you.

Since I've purchased my laptop the webcam has worked, and I've had no problems. But recently, it has stopped working. I have made sure i have the most recent version of Cyberlink Youcam, and have downloaded countless drivers form the HP website to help the issue.
But, when I open the camera app from the start screen (I have a 64-bit windows 8 HP 2000-2b43DX Notebook PC laptop), it says I need to connect a camera. And, when I open Skype, I am prompted that I need to open Cyberlink Youcam, and when I do; Cyberlink Youcam tells me "No webcam connected, if you are using an integrated camera, please make sure it is switched on."

I am getting the error message as shown in subject.
My laptop model is : HP Pavalion g6 2230tx
OS : Windows 7 ultimate(64bit)
Although my brightness function of increasing and decreasing works properly.
But this message appears every time in start my laptop.
I haven't stared playing games yet.
So I don't whether this driver was installed properly or not.
Device manager don't show any yellow sign either.
Also is there any software that can tell me which drivers are installed and which are not installed on my laptop.
When trying to view any videos the screens are all green. The audio works but screens are green. Please advise ASAP.

I have upgraded my OS to windows 8.1 as it was a free update. Now the text on some programs is very blurry. I've tried both the amd graphics drivers provided by HP for windows 8.1 and 8 and neither work. I also tried using the latest amd mobility graphics drivers direct from AMD and these don't work either. It seems the only way the display will function properly is using Windows 8. Any ideas how I could fix this?

Ever since allowing 'essential' downloads everything has gone wrong. Was very happy using a HDMI lead to connect to my TV but after upgrading to Windows 8.1 it now seems to have all gone wrong and will not connect. Suggests that I use another video card or reinstall driver. I have no idea what I am doing and getting very frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.
I have owned my Presario CQ57-229WM for 4 years. I can not get help from HP. This notebook has a built in Webcam?
If so can anyone help me to get it to work. The downloaded Getting Started guide says to go into ALL programs and select HP>then HP MediaSmart to set up . There is no HP MediaSmart choice there!! Any help will be appreciated.

Everytime i go to watch a video on youtube for example, it will play for about a minute then the video screen will either go green or the video will just stop playing all together.

I bought 2 months back the Envy Ultrabook 6-1100sl. Yesterday when I was opening the lid it strangly broken its screen. I am searching here and there for some cheap screens which I can replace with borken one.
Though I have not reached to the right location however on ebay.it I have found 6-1100 screens. I just want to know either 6-1100sl use same screen or not?
It appears to be right one as it has same resolution.
Please help and advice I would be thank full.

My laptop is 1 month old. Few days ago, a portion of touchscreen is not responding to touch, I restart windows a few times, didnot worked! I really disappointed, but suddenly, one day, it work normally. But it is not stable, sometime it work, sometime not.
I did system restore-- Didnot worked
Update graphic driver and all available driver through HP support assistant--- Didnot worked
Install all windows update available--- Didnot worked
Did a windows RESET (not recovery)--- Didnot, too!

I think it's a problem from a firmware, but I don't sure and I don't know how to fix touchscreen firmware. Someone help me, please!
I have a elitebook 8770 with a fresh install of windows 8.1 and the Nvidia Quadro drivers.
When you open an application with a dark skin (visual studio), the display dims very dark. When you open an application with a light skin (notepad) it gets very bright.
I have disabled adaptive brightness, no joy though.
Any suggestions?

I have a Pavilion dv9640us and the display screen does not appear to be working. When the laptop is powered on, the screen stays completely black (no HP logo). I've connected an external monitor so I can see everything that way.
I'm presuming it's a hardware issue with the laptop itself. How can I determine exactly which part and what it would cost to replace/repair? If any other information is needed, I'll gladly suppy it. Thank you in advance.

I am having problem with my dm4-3500tx notebook. it has recently cannot continue starting windows (i am using windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed when i bought the unit), several time I reformatted it but still the same problem. i tried installing one by one the drivers and i found out that it is when i installed the AMD High Defination Driver is when the problem occurs. what will i do with it. please anyone who has an idea, i need your help.
I have hp model: 6-1010US and I dont know why my volumn beats audio icon and brightness icon disappeared. I tried what you said above and I got the brightness icon back and volumn too but I didn't got the beats icon that the only reason I got that notebook and It's gone and I s there any posibility that you can please help me with that.
