My Envy Laptop has started dropping favorites from the Favorites List? Wireless connection.
As normal I add and delete as needed. Then sort in A to Z order. Then when I look at the Fav. List later I see items gone.... Its like something is limiting the number I can have......

Display is distorted when the LCD screen is moved
HP Pavilion 15t-au000 (Product #: T9Y68AV)
Whenever I move the screen, it flickers and shows distorted images (and vertical lines) until I find the sweet spot and the problem goes away. It's gotten progressively worse too. Now, even slight movements will trigger the problem (i.e., the cushion that it sits on shifts as I get up). It seems to be related to the hinges where the LCD connects to the laptop.
Movement at the hinges produces the most striking effects.
I'm guessing that it may be the LCD cable, but I'm not positive. If I were to order a replacement part, I'd want to make sure I was ordering the correct one. partsurfer.hp.com shows a few options.
All the video drivers are up to date.

Omen two days old, black screen crashes
I got my laptop Friday and since then I keep getting crashes to a black screen. Power light is lit up but their is no display. Once or twice on reboot I got the message display driver failed to initialize using basic Windows driver.
My Nvidia driver is up to date according to Nvidia. I used the troubleshoot where they take over the PC and they updated my BIOS but I am still having the same issue.
Error log reports failers of dwm.exe multiple times as well as some sort of generic hardware failures.
Is this repairable or do I need an exchange?

Didn't detect another display
Hello, I recently booted up my HP envy after it had been sitting idle for over a year. When I first booted it up, I connected it to a Samsung television via HDMI. Video and audio were working just fine. After I connected it to the internet (this being the first time it had been connected in over a year), it obviously had a lot of updating to do. I initialized the updates and let it do it's thing over night. The next morning, all updates had been completed, computer seemed to be working just fine. When I tried to connect the Samsung television again, it didn't work. I have spent several hours messing with it trying to get it to work, but I am out of ideas.
1. I tried a new HDMI cable
2. Verified the input on the television was working by connecting a different device
3. Checked display setting on the notebook
4. Verified that there were no additional updates required or needed
In the display setting, there is a multiple displays section where there is a clickable button that says "Detect". When I do, it pops up a message that says "Didn't detect another display." I'm not sure if this is software or hardware related, but as I stated earlier, It worked until I completed the system updates.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Touchscreen stopped working as well as wireless mouse after installing a new printer
I just installed the HP Envy Photo 6255 printer to my computer and now my Touchscreen and my wireless mouse do not work. In device manager it says driver not installed on my mouse. It doesn't even recognize that I have a touch screen in device manager. Everything worked up to the point of installing the new printer.
I tried my mouse on another computer and it works. I tried a different brand of mouse on my Notebook, it does not work.
Any suggestions?

Driver Recovery without Disks
Some how, my Touch Screen Driver and my wireless optical mouse driver have disappeared??
How do I recover them when I dont have a disk?
I tried the f11 reset,, but that asked for a disk?
Any on line way to recover the drivers?

Laptop screen goes black when I plug in my HDMI to second montior
Screen goes black whenever I plug in an HDMI.
For the last several weeks I have had my HP Pavillion connected via HDMI cable to an external monitor. I did have to lower the resolution on my laptop for the older monitor to be able to handle the signal. I recently turned off and uplugged the laptop. When I reconnected and tried to plug the HDMI cord in, the laptop screen went black. When I unplug the HDMI, the screen comes back. Each time I plug the HDMI the screen goes black and I do not see anything on the external monitor either even though I have told it to duplicate my screen.

HP Envy All in one- Screen and Mouse issues- Bubbles and curser moving around
I have noticed a fixed flashing cursor inside a square area near the top of my screen. My mouse cursor has begun to be very unreliable and at times won't function at all. Rebooting the computer, turning the mouse on and off all have not worked. I have checked the Control Panel device functionality and it says the mouse is working properly. I have updated the mouse drivers also to no avail. I now am unable to use my mouse at all.

How to get rid of mini Scroll bar on computer screen please!
Hi! I have no clue what exactly i did, but i was using my touch pad and a little mini scroll bar came up, and wouldn't go away. ive searched the internet but nothing worked/the things they suggested didn't show up as an option. my laptop is on Windows 7.

Loosing Driver for mouse & Touch screen
After several hours of use, after turning off the computer. When rebooting, the drivers for the mouse and touchscreen disappear. When checking device manager these drivers are not their. Restarting the computer does not solve the problem. Only a restore will bring things back up.

Two finger scrolling still active after lifting one finger
I'm also the same issue on HP ENVY 15-as152nr. I've updated the drivers to the latest version from the HP website, and checked the settings - there's no setting for what to do when one finger is lifted after a two-finger scroll.
It's very annoying, is there a fix?

powerpoint 2016 keeps crashing
My AMD laptop model HP envy 15-ar052sa with a useless graphic card keeps crashing when I open a powerpoint 2016 file.
I think there is a lower graphics card setting I need to set someone to make it work.

Grey screen upon start up from hibernation or sleep.
Hi, I recently noticed my screen has this grey screen when I raise the lid open to use. I then have to hard restart the laptop, before the screen becomes visible. () This only happens if I'm waking the system from sleep mode or hibernate.
Now my question; is this a screen issue or it is a software issue? And if so, how can it be fixed, cause I'm affear of losing vital data on my computer.

HP ENVY with External Monitor
Dear Members,
I would like to buy 4K monitor to my HP ENVY 15-as104nh.
It has an Intel 620 GPU and I've found on Intel Support page the following:
4K Support Yes, at 60Hz
Max Resolution (HDMI 1.4)‡ 4096x2304@24Hz
Max Resolution (DP)‡ 4096x2304@60Hz
Max Resolution (eDP - Integrated Flat Panel)‡ 4096x2304@60Hz
My questions:
1. Does my notebook would work perfectly without lag, frame drop, resolution lost , etc. with 4K monitor (LG 27UD68) on 3840 x 2160?
2. What is the version of HDMI on my notebook?
3. What does it means 4096x2304@24Hz (see above)?
4. Is it possible to use USB-C to connect notebook to external monitor? Is it better than HDMI?
