Ive just cracked the screen on my x2 detachable at the bottom left it’s tiny however it seems to be affecting the touch screen on the left side. I can still use he right side however. The cracks have a yellow light underneath which I think is caused by pressure pushing the screen correct me if I’m wrong.

Basically need to know if I can get the glass repaired for a decent price. Not really wanting to buy a new laptop right now as I’m in university and this works fine apart from this.
I’ve had it over a year so it’s out of warranty so no luck there
Anyone had the same problem? Thanks

I am having the exact same issue with my HP Pavilion 11 x360 (11-n001na) touchscreen not working after the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. So far, I have been unable to find a solution for this issue, and was particularly frustrated with a recent BIOS update being released, which 'improves security' but does not address this issue. At this point, I feel more comfortable with the idea that I am not the only user to be experiencing such issues with my device.

The wireless mouse and touch screen no longer work and device manager shows the as no drivers installed. When you try to up date the drivers windows states the no drivers can be found. When in the trouble shooting section F2 on startup and in there everything is shown as ok and kind of works but restarting the operating system they no longer do.

touch screen worked perfect prior to update, took weeks to figure out how to update to 1709, now touchscreen does not work anymore.  everything else is great.

 

ran thru the guided troubleshooting, with no results, Human Interface Devices does not show touchscreen

Not sure what is the cause or root of the problem or what exactly the problem is but my HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC is not working properly the way it should and have been. I'll try to describe what's going on.

1) While on the desktop screen, the icon or app on the top most left most of the screen is highlighted (e.i Recycle Bin).

While i try to open ot delete other icon or app on the desktop by double tapping the touchpad or pressing delete on the keyboard, or clicking right on the mouse - it will open or delete the one that is highlighted which is on the top left most and not anything else regardless how i move the touchpad or mouse.

2) The same happens with external hard drives and usb. But instead of being stucked up on the left most, it is stucked up on the top most.

3) If for example I try to type something (ie password upon starting up or opening laptop) the cursor remains to stick on the left most instead of continuing to the right as I continue to type.

4) the scrollbar remains to be on top most regardless I drag it down or tap it down it just doesn't move down. While I try to drag or tap down, the screen appears to move like it's pulling it back up so it just remain at the top.

5) Initially I thought it was a mouse issue. So I disconnected the mouse and used the touchpad only.

6) The issue remains the same so thought maybe it's a touchpad issue. So I disabled the touchpad and used mouse only and the problem remains the same.

7) I can move the cursor everwhere else on the screen but it just doesnt proceed to do anything else aside from the above description.

I have restarted my laptop numerous times and it's just the same problem over and over again for the past month. Hope someone can help thank you.

 it would confirm a software issue and

we'll need to reinstall or update the display drivers using  HP Website    but how to find that which is the screen driver

Hey guys, I've been having GPU problems with my HP Omen.

 

It started from November 2017 when the HDMI port became defected and the FPS dropped exponentially. I had to connect my laptop to  the TV screen via the thunderbolt port.

 

I took the laptop to an IT shop partnered with HP, and they replaced the board with a new one (which took until January).

 

After the board replacement, the HDMI port was working correctly, but the FPS is still very low.

 

Here are the solutions I tried:

 

1- Clean installing Nvidea drivers

2- Updating Windows  

3- Updating the BIOS

 

I ran an Extensive System Text overnight (over 13 iterations) to check for hardware errors and all has passed. I have also ran the HP Image Diagnostic tools, these are the results: 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Any helpt would be greatly appreciated as this is getting extremely frustrating.

Hello. This is the first time I have posted to this site, so I hope everyone bears with me. I own an HP Pavillion 23 q-113w touch AIO. My touchscreen has worked fine from the beginning, until now. I have researched the internet for solutions and have found non that work. On the HP support page, there is no driver to download for my touch screen on their site for my model. I have gone to device manager and under HID devices, there is no "HID-compliant touch screen" driver listed, even when hidden devices are displayed. There have been no updates but windows updates since I noticed it did not work any longer (I do not use it all the time). I have tried the "scan for hardware changes...over and over...and restarted my computer. Nothing changes. I cannot uninstall and reinstall a driver that is not there. Exactly when it disappeared, I am not certain. Doesn't HP support page just have the drivers for their computers that people can't just download and install if this happens. Does anyone have any newer ideas on how to get the driver from HP, or from Microsoft? I have read and read until I am getting very frustrated and tried most things. Can anyone help. Most of the messages are from 2016-2017. Is there anything new that can help with this problem. Thank you very much.

I   spilled a cup of coffee  on the keyboard and now  it doesn't  work anymore...
Is  there anyone that can tell me where I can find an original keyboard or a compatible one?

The HP stream X360 touch screen is not working even the laptop is booting up. Both my daughters have the same device and both are playing up with the same issues. Both devices boot up but screen is not displaying anything. Is there a quick fix.

I noticed an issue that I have when playing games, although the issue is universal. 

 

I cannot hold down a keyboard button, and move my mouse at the same time. 

 

For example, if I was holding the "a" key to walk left in a game, the mouse will not move at all until I release the key. I do not have this issue when using a wireless or plugged in mouse, only on the touchpad. 

 

What can I do to change this so that I can use my touchpad and keyboard at the same time?

I've had an ongoing issue since purchasing my laptop. 

 

Quite frequently, when I am playing a game, I will release a key that I am pressing, and it would act as if I hadn't released it. To fix it, I would have to press the same key again. 

 

This is very frustrating and happens on multiple keys, so I don't think the issue is the key physcially getting stuck. 

 

I notice it the most when I am playing a game that involves using the "w" "a" "s" "d" keys to move forward, left, back and right. When I release one of the keys, I would carry on moving in the game. It happens on multiple games too. 

 

What can I do to prevent this from happening?

downloaded app from Windows Store, particularly for pc's.

will show content but when want to play, says :

I can play the All4 app on my smartphone no problem and in the settings, it says need Adobe Flash Player to be able to watch.

My notebook does have Adobe Flash Player in Microsoft Edge.

 

Any thoughts on what I can do?
