Hi, I have a HP ProBook 4730s and a ATI Radeon HD 7470M graphic card and can't find anywhere a driver for it. I ahve Windows 8.1 and with the driver from the Support page it appears with an yellow exclamation mark. Can you point me to a good driver ? Thank you

G62 Screen stays black after windows logo
Hi,
I got a HP G62-b05SD. I've noticed that a lot of people have the simmular problem.
I do know what causes it, but don't know how to fix it.
So here it is.
Sometimes when I boot/reboot my system the screen goes black after the windows logo, but if I wait a while I do hear the windows star up tune, but still the screen stays black.
I noticed that this happens when I shut down or reboot the system with something in de usb port ( be it a mouse or a stick, does not matter)
If I remove everything from the usb port en reboot or turn the machine on again for the first time that day everything starts up fine.
So there must be some driver issues i guess with the usb ports and the screen or something.
please help !

Ow and when I do get the black screen, the hard reset doesn't always work.
I also did a start up repair and this showed up:
"If you have recently attached a device to this computer such as a camera or portable music player, remove it and restart your computer. If you continue to see this message bla... bla... bla... "

Touch screen stops working in hot room.
The touch screen works perfectly at normal room temperatures 20-22 C but stops working in heated rooms (sunlight through the windows). Is it just me (repair required) or is it normal? 15-051sa

I have the following graphics installed NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600. If I run Winsat graphicsformal3d I get the following results.

Pavilion G6 2203-et with Radeon 7670M
Hi.
I have a problem with my laptop for a long time. I'm using it like 1.5 year and I can't see 7670M's name in games graphic options. The only option is Intel HD 4000. As performance, it seems intel trying to work with games ( Laptop's temperature is getting hotter and hotter and display quality is very low). I tried too much drivers, restoring windows but still the same. It says I could play high or medium display quality for a game in the game websites like gamedebate (like skyrim, crysis2, even dota 2 ) but I couldnt play what options they said. Is there a hardware problem? Or are there any other solution?

Presario CQ57 AMD Radeon 6250 black screen after driver install
I bought a CQ57 used with the busted screen. Screen replaced in the CQ57 with a screen from a CQ56. The computer needed restored so I did a factory restore and kept getting a black screen every time I loaded the video driver. Thinking maybe a virus I simply did a full format with Windows 7 Home Premium. Worked fine (and still does, I am typing on it now) until I load ati catylist driver. The backlight is what quits, it isn't a true blackscreen. Any ideas?

Ultrabook HP ENVY 6-1100sl - Vga not detected and AMD drivers not working
This is about an Ultrabook Hp Envy 1100sl, with win8 64x.
While playing a game my laptop crashed and it wasn't able to boot windows 8 anymore, restore point didn't work, boot fix didn't work, complete hp restore didn't work. So I brought the pc to a tech (I wish I didn't have to do that, but I didn't have enough time to try and fix it myself...) and he made a clean win 8 installation (all the restore methods were broken), with a quite poor excuse of reinstalling "all" drivers too, but then I noticed that the amd drivers for the hd 7670m were missing and that the card itself wasn't detected by the device manager, only the Intel one is listed.
I've tried to install the last drivers from hp, but they won't install at all (Installation Failed: Install Package Failure), moved to the official up to date drivers from amd, same error, I've even tried the modded ones from leshcat, same error.
Tried a clean drivers install after wiping the ones installed by the tech with driver fusion in safe mode, but nothing worked, it refuse to install amd driver and the graphic card is still not detected. All of this, I've tried doing it more than once.
So, long story short: all is up to date, bios and chipset too, the hd 7670m is not detected by device manager, any attempt to install amd drivers (using the ones from hp, from amd and from leshcat) lead to a "Installation Failed: Install Package Failure!".
Any ideas? May the vga be dead?
I'd like to highlight the fact that NOTHING seems actually able to detect the amd graphic card. The usual answer is "it doesn't detect it because of the drivers, install the drivers and you'll see it", but, if the pc itself doesn't see it, it won't even install the drivers. This leads me to thinking that it may be an hardware problem rather than software's, and I sincerely hope this is not the case. I just know I'm quite annoyed since the pc is running at only half of its potential.

Blu-ray Player.
Having issues now with playing Blu-ray disc on laptop. Pavilion dv7 bought in 2010, haven't had any issues until last week I wanted to play some movies for which away from home. I installed dics and HP Mediasmart comes up and and starts to read dics, but I can hear the player cycling over and over. Eject and reload and then it starts to work so I though, I hit play and it asks if I want to update, click yes and then okay to play dics, select play and it starts all over again if I want to update. I looked for update thru the tool button and did that, but to help. I have looked on HP's website for updates and nothing, tried Cyberlink and can't seem to do that. I am about to thru the **bleep** thing on the freeway as I return home and see if insurance will buy me new one. I haven't played a Blu-ray on laptop oh for a couple of months and back then everything worked fine.
I have even seen on one tread here that sp54746, thought to give that a try will no, and I thought what the hell. Anyway help would be appreicated or I might get a ticket for littering on the freeway. Model dv7-3079wm.

7640G / 8670M Dual AMD graphics - Dedicated missing.
Hello.
I bought HP Pavilion 17 e121eo and it doesn't have the dedicated graphics card showing in either bios or in the device manager.
1. I have tried updating to latest bios version: Nothing changed.
2. downloaded all the drivers from the hp support page for the graphics card: Nothing changed.
3. Restored whole system to the factory default, using hp recovery: Nothing.
4. Changed power settings to maximum performance in both Catalyst center and windows 8.
I have also tried to play a few games to test out but as it seems to only use 7640g most of the games run better on 3 years older laptop.
I'm starting to believe there's a typo in the product detail page and infact this laptop only has the piss poor 7640g integrated chip running.
Any advices ?

Envy 15T-j000 has video incompatibility with Chrome web browser
I was very disappointed with my new Envy 15T-j000 with a Haswell i7chip (and Windows 8) when I opened up Chrome only to find that the video did not "paint" the entire browser to the screen. In particular the chrome on the browser (upper area where the tabs are) did not fully display.
I even replaced the video drivers and did a full reset of the OS.
I thought the notebook was defective and considered sending it back until...
I disabled "hardware accelaration" in the Chrome browser settings. When I did that, Chrome worked fine.
FYI. Consider this one solved but unclear on why this happens. I googled "Chrome" and hardware acceleration and couldn't find many other reports of problems.

Colored static on monitor
I spilled a little water on my HP Pavillion g7 (model #g7-2320dx) . The discoloration didn't begin right away. I turned it on the next day and there it was. It seems like it's exactly 1/3 of the monitor that is messed up. It's least noticable on white and the worst on black. On other colors it just sort of looks dull. I connected to an external monitor and the picture is fine. I've looked other places but I can't find much of anything that is quite like this. Please help!

My game crashes during playing

I have Pro Book 4530s , I installed the intel HD graphics driver from HP website listed under my device.
My OS is windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit).
Previously I was using windows 8 and Dota 2 I played on it and it never crashed .
Now the game crashes very often , I read on dota 2 forum and they say it has to do something with
my graphics drivers.

dv7 stuck on dual display mode
My dv7 6c95dx suddenly became stuck on the projector mode on start up a week ago. When I do hook up my laptop to my HDTV, I disconnect properly. The screen is all stretched with a line going across the screen and showing everything on the top of the screen like usual but also under that line.
Ive tried everything I could think of. I did a system restore, I wiped everything and went back to factory settings using the system recovery, I tried to reinstall the display driver and obviously tried to do the computer screen only mode to get it out of the dual display. I've even checked the connection itself. There was once where after the system recovery it went back to a regular display but I can't get it back. The laptop is about two years old.
I'm wondering if this has been an issue with others and if there's a method i've missed to resolve this?

black bluish screen
Hi i have a problem with my
HP G56 Notebook PC
my computer starts up fine but my screen does not turn on but there is a faint light the colour bluish..i live in italy and brought my lap top over until around two months ago it worked fine i decided to link it up to my flat screen telivision and used multi screen. I dont no if i may off done something with the settings ive tryed everything but if i change the settings back to the lap top i cant see anything..i have to now always use my computer on the telivision do i need a new screen or is something else can someone help me please or tell me something

pavilion g6 1200tx graphics
my hp pavilion g6 1200tx graphics i.e, intel hd graphics family and amd radeon 6470m are working too slow even the games like san andreas and nfs most wanted 2012 in low mode works too slow even after installing drivers from hp official webiste the reason could be that the drivers are almost 2 and a half years old. so it would be great if the drivers could be updated but when i tries to update it installs amd radeon hd 7400m instead of 6470m in win 7 ultimate 64 bit . if there is any way to update these drivers so plz. let me know about it my id is nk30@outlook.com

Cannot send images to projector
Hai. My laptop HP Probook 4421s, initially under normal conditions and can display images to screen projector via a VGA connector but now no longer able to display images to the projector screen. My laptop does not look like broken. In the device manager screen display everything is normal, no sign of yellow or anything else. When connected to the projector, the screen turns like a laptop connected to a projector (detected) but the projector screen disappears (blank). If the detachable connection of a normal laptop screen (wide) projector display appears again. Please help, how to fix this?

HP Spectre 13t-3000 Ultrabook on Windows 7 with HP 2005pr port replicator
Hi there,
We have a HP Spectre 13t-300ea with windows 7 installed on it.
Everything on the laptop is working fine expect when we connect the 2005pr port replicator.
Initially windows 7 didnt pick up and install all the required drivers for the PR, but I downloaded them and manually installed the PR SW from the HP website.
At first the installation caused the ultrabook to only show a black sreen with the mouse curson blinking when logged into windows (prior to log in everything looked OK) the only way to resolve this was to uninstall the graphic card and let windows install a generic VGA driver. with this driver everything looks OK, with the exception of the second monitor being picked up when connected to the port replicator.
Any ideas of what we can try to get this working?
