I bought an LG slim portable DVD writer, have loaded Media Suite 10, but when try to play anything I get the following error message.
Runtime error (at 244:189): could not call proc
I have only had this machine one month.
It is not a problem with the DVD writer or software as I downloaded it on to another machine and it works fine with that.
Any help would be much appreciated.
My HP Zbook 15 G3 comes equipped with Nvidia M2000M + Intel 530 (Optimus).
When trying to connect to 10 bit color per channel (30 bit) external monitor I get only 8 bit color result.
In BIOS the discreet card is selected (i.e. Optimus is disabled and only Nvidia active).
Am I missing anything. Do all outputs (thunderbolt, HDMI etc.) run via the Intel card? Can the Quadro handle the output color or is everything going through the Intel card?
In the documentation there is a mention of 30 bit color support but I am not sure how and whether it is deep color.
My intention is to have 10 bit color for photography in Photoshop.

I have replaced the corrupted old HDD of my laptop and installed Windows 7... after I have installed all drivers using "Driver Pack Sollution" . right now my problem in the AMD Graphics drivers. (ERROR code 43) .
Where can I find the AMD drivers that will work properly?

This just started happening last week, randomly. I would be on my computer and my curser would freeze inside a clear circle on my screen. I can move the curser around, and click on things, but it glitches every time I move it, so you can barely see it when I try to use it. Essentially, on my screen, I have the curser in a clear circle somewhere on the screen and also a glitching curser when I move my mouse. My screen is touchscreen, and since this started happening, the touchscreen does not work. I figured the curser was glitching because the touchscreen does not work, so I was wondering if there was a way to fix it. It's hard to move around the curser and not be able to really see it. I've had my laptop for 2 and a half years and this is the first problem I've had with it. Sometimes when I restart my laptop, the problem goes away, but I just have my computer off for two hours because it started happening and when I turned it back on, the curser in the circle was still on my screen. Please help and let me know if there is anything I can do. My computer is also up to date on everything.
So after a fairly recent Microsoft update, I lost the option to rotate my screen. Also when I go into the registry, the setting to turn it on doesn't exist.
while playing games in battery the FPS is stable.but while charging FPS drops for every 5 sec.itried every possible ways but the problem is still there....and sometimes display flickering while playing games...give any solution

just bought the x360 and it was awsesome the first weak.
It has been shipped without a pen, so I bought a new one.
It worked, but it had a terrible delay so I googled it. I stumbled uppon the sp76862 and it installed just fine.
But it seems to be for another device. First the touchscreen calibration went crazy,
but after recalbritaing its alright. The main Problem is that the pen isnt working anymore at all.
On the driver page for my device are no Firmware files for the touchscreen.
Can someone help please?

Please i got a new complain about my laptop.. just yesterday i was browsing the net and suddenly the pc started lagging until it went blank.. i tried ctrl-alt delete but i couldnt access the task manager screen to try to restart explorer.. i had no option than to force shutdown.. since then my system is now very slow.. takes about 15 - 30 mins to boot and about 10 mins to shut down. I can barely use the system. i have tried system recovery from bootup but failed. Right now i am running chkdsk to see if there's any error on the hdd. This is a brand new laptop still under waranty.. i am truly dissapointed that i am experiencing alot of issues in a short period of time. This is my first use of a hp laptop... please i need an effective solution
so my laptop screen goes black when my brightness is put on 100%.even if i put it on 99% it goes back to normal only when plugged in. (but it hurts my eyes) (i have windows 8.1 fyi)

I have a fairly new HP250 G5 - actually still under warranty!
My office assistant hates Windows 10 with a vengeance (and actually so do I), so I put Windows 7 64 on it from a windows 7 Professional 64 bit CD using the legacy boot option.
I reloaded all the drivers from HP on the HP250G5 page using Windows 7 64 driver downloads.
All loaded smoothly except BIOS which came up with a whole series of error messages PCI etc
All works except:
1. In Device Manager>Other Devices it shows Unknown Device with yellow warning.
2. There is a graphics issue. It works but the Windows Experience Score for graphics is only 1.0. In Device Manager Window it says "Display Adatpers>Standard VGA" and right clicking the screen only shows "generic PNP monitor". And also the D type video output socket on side of the laptop does not work.
Can anyone help please?.

I have been going bonkers for the past two days. Have been trying to connect My SONY Bravia KDL-40W600B to my laptop HP ENVY x360 - 15t-bp100 CTO via HDMI cable. My system detects the second monitor (its is visible in audio playback devices, windows display settings and Intel HD Graphics Control Panel) but there is no video or audio. My Tv shows up as Genereic PnP Monitor under monitors in device manager. I have updated as well as rolled back my display drivers for Intel HD graphics and Nvidia Graphics card manually, through device manager as well as through HP support assistant. I have also tried rebooting several times with HDMI Cable pliugged. Tried Hard Reset which also didnt work. Also set my TV as default audio playback device. No success.
Please help.
Hi. We are using a Zbook 17 g4 mobile workstation at work. If we let windows to turn the screen off (automatic screen turn off thingy), the screen shows vertical lines, flashes when we turn it back on. We have to forcefully turn off the laptop then turn it on again.

Hey! I have a Spectre x360 that came with an Active Stylus.
I used to do hanwriting annotations everyday on OneNote and it worked preety well.
Suddenly, today, it is very innacurate, erratic. Impossible to write.
Tried Sketchbook to test if it was a software issue, it was better bus still bad.
Any tips?
The Stylus I use is HP, came with the computer. I have it for a week.
Copying from a different post that had the same issue:
If I draw a strtaignt line slowly, the cursor tends to wobble slightly and produce a squggly, jittery line. When I do so quickly, however, the line smoothes out. Often, when I write quickly, the writing comes out jagged and distorted which is frustrating.
I updated all the drivers and tried all the different settings I could find, without success.
I'm aware of the problem with the USB 3.1 type C (DP1.2) and connection monitors via a HDMI cable.
My question is: will I be able to connect a monitor like this:
USB C from my ENVY to a
Hub/Dock with Display Port output to a
Monitor via DP

The laptop turns on but no display. It will come on for a few hours and will not display when I turn it on after I turn it off. The caps lock button is ona continuous flash and the wireless key is always on.

I have HP - Spectre x360 2-in-1 15.6" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop. I plan to buy a privacy screen "Kensington FP133W9 Privacy Screen for 13.3" 16:9 Laptops" from Walmart.
I would like to know
1) if Touch screen will still work if I use this privacy screen or any privacy screen.
2) Do I need to use screen protector?
3) If so, will touch screen still work if I use both screen protector and privacy screen? (Do I even need to do that?)
4) Is there any two in one "privacy and protector screen"?

i have had a constant problem when typing up stuff i somehow continue to get the darn cortana box to pop up as i type. am i hitting a button i'm not suppose to? This has caused me to lose a document after 10 min. of writing it up. out of frustration i deleted it. Help is appreciated.
