Dim display but screen is ON
I am using Compaq Presario CQ40, today morning I make my laptop 'ON' it's 'ON' properly but brightness is very low. I couldn't even see cursor. But when I see my laptop in different angles I can see it. I tried to increase brightness with fn+f8 button to increase the light but it remains same. I also tried to go to control panel and adjust brightness I make it maximum but same result. Can you help me regarding this issue.

HDMI port issues
I formatted my computer, installed all new drivers properly but no signal on my LCD TV via HDMI port. Un supported video format is shown on the TV screen.
Using a working standart HDMI cable.
Before I format the computer it was working properly.

Purple tint to Webcam - Need to turn of IR LEDs
I have this issue mentioned in this article, however my laptop does not include the software mentioned to be able to turn off the IR LEDs

It doesn't look too good when I am talking to my work colleagues and they are too embarresed to ask if I have dyed my hair purple.

Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver is the 32bit for Pavillion dv7
Due to the lack of driver support I rolled my laptop back to windows 7 but now on this page https://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv7-6b00-entertainment-notebook-pc-series/5145684/model/5177033 the driver listed for the onboard graphics is the 32 bit version that will not install.
Is there anywhere I can get the 64 bit driver so I can install the Radeon drivers as they will not install because the on board driver is out of date.
Driver agent suggests there is an up to date one but you have to pay for that service and I do not see why I should.

HP Probook 450 G3 - Dual Monitor
Hi,
I'm attempting to connect 2 external monitors to my Probook 450 G3, 1 through the HDMI port & 1 through the VGA port.
The monitors will connect, and allow the 2 external monitors to display an extended version of the laptop screen, giving me 3 screens to work on.
However, I want to use one of the external monitors as a duplicate of the laptop screen, and the 2nd external monitor as an extension to the laptop screen. The goal is to be able to close my laptop lid, and work from the two external monitors, freeing up space on the desk.
I attempt to change the display settings to "Duplicate 1 on 2" or "Duplicate 1 on 3", however i receive an error message when I attempt to apply the settings.
I would appreciate any assistance anyone can offer?

HP LAPTOP 17 BS0XX Series Is Not Recognizing AMD Card. Using MS Basic Driver only on Windows 8.1
The HP Notebook 17 comes with a Discrete AMD Radeon™ 530 Graphics (4 GB DDR3 dedicated. I downgraded Windows 10 to Windows 8.1 (Win 10 is #@#$) and despite downloading the drivers & Crimson Software and following every possible link, Windows 8.1 is not detecting and using my GPU.
It keeps switching to the MS Basic Driver.
Can anyone point to the correct driver please. I've tried HP Support Assistant (More BS), AMD Detect and this is the page on which all AMD drivers are listed including for Windows 8.1 for this series.

Thunderbolt Bar Operation of additional CRT screen is intermitant or not enabled properly
ZBook Thunderbolt 3 Docking and device BAR Adapter operation appears to be intermitant. As a non privledged user login It does not stay configured or enabled to operate the additional External Screen?
What is the path to resolution or likely cause as it works and then it doesnt work?

Touchpad clicking issues
Hello,
my HP EliteBook 840 G1 running Windows 10 (64bit) has some issues with the touchpad and the left click button. When start up my laptop everything works fine, but after a while (10-30 minutes) the tap to click function of the touchpad and the physical left click button under the touchpad stop working. So i cannot click or select anything with the touchpad. The touchpad remains functional for moving the mouse, zooming, scrolling and tapping with to fingers for right-click. If i plug in an external mouse the mouse works properly so also the left click button.
It is really frustrating me so can someone please help me fix this?

HP Elitebook and Elite Dock - No Video
I was just given a new HP Elitebook as my work computer as well as an Elite USB-C Dock. I have the dock connected to my monitor via a DisplayPort cable, but there is no video displaying on the monitor. The other hardware connected tp the dock (mouse, keyboard) are working just fine though. Any suggestions?

Elite X2 1012 Active Pen w/ limited functionality
Is there a known issue with the stylus on the Elite X2 1012 G2? I have changed the settings and it will not open the correct application when clicked. Also, it will not erase with the "eraser" on the pen. I have run the most current driver and firmware updates that I could find. Any advice?

LCD replacement
I have an HP Pavilion x360 13t-u000 that needs the lcd replaced. I can't find the specs on this unit and can't determine which lcd I need to replace it.
There are 2 part numbers in the manual: 856019–001 and 856018–001
I'm not sure which one came in the unit I have.

FPS Drop in game
On Monday, I hit a snag which caused my in game FPS in games like TF2 and Overwatch to drop down to FPS levels that are basically unplayable (around 10-15 fps) and I'm desperate to find a solution to fix this because I need my laptop to be running at max fps for various reasons. Can't find HP Pen Control App
I am trying to change the button settings for the HP Pen but can't figure out how to do it. I looked up how to do it online but I can't find the app that they describe. There is an option to change pen button control in the main settings menu but the pen that is listed there is not the same pen that came with the computer. The settings shown are for a pen with just one button on the end of the pen but the one that I have has two buttons on the side. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

ZBook cold weather
Hello everyone, so.... I left my laptop in my bookbag overnight, which was in my car at the time. It dropped down into the 20s and when I went to bring it inside to use, it was really cold as I turned it on and this is what I get on my screen (see attached picture). After turning it off and letting it warm up for the next hour or so, I came back to use it and it worked fine, or so I thought. It works fine as long as the computer is completely shut off then turned back on, but if you just let it go to sleep, the attached picture comes up. Anyone know why or how this is happening, i'm not super tech savvy when it comes to the actual circuitry of computers.
