My brightness remains dim, to the point where you cannot even read the display. Even during boot up, the text is unreadable, it is as thought it has lost its brightness.

mouse swipe changes page size
For some odd reason when I swipe the mouse across the screen it will cause the screen to shrink or to enlarge. I've tried adjusting the mouse setting to no avail. Any advice?

HP Envy 17 - Truevision HD webcam issue
Hello HP forum members!
I'm a bit excited because this is my first post :) I've recently purchased ENVY 17-j110ea notebook Windows 8.1 64bit - (product specifications) and i'm verry happy with my new PC. The only issue I have is with the webcam. Unlike other user's common problems, the device is recognized, no massive lag, no dark pictures, everything seems to be fine, but I noticed that while moving in front of the camera, there is a short pause (not even for a second) between every few seconds (5 or more), and after that everything is fine.
- disabled low light compensation
- installed all available Windows updates
- updated the intel hd drivers from the hp support website
- installed the updated drivers recommended by HP Support Assistant
- YouCam is also updated - currently using 5.0.2.3603
- I also tested the webcam in Windows Diagnostic mode
Still no luck. If i test the camera with YouCam app (not the desktop one), the image is better, but still lags between every 5 or more seconds.
Any suggestions?

Connecting PC to TV using Displayport to HDMI cable
I have HP Elitebook Folio 9470m Ultrabook and LG 47LH55 HDTV. I bought a DisplayPort to HDMI cable, but my TV cannot detect the connection when I connected my PC to TV using this cable. Is there a special software setup that I need to perform on my PC to see both video and audio?

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 drivers not loaded after upgrade to Windows 8
Hello ,
I upgraded my HP TouchSmart TM2 from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and the ATI graphic adapter drivers and Catalyst center are not working anymore. Only Intel Graphic is working, resulting in poor experience and low resolution.
I downloaded the latest software for HD 4500 series from AMD website (http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows%208%20-%2064) without success.
I also tried from HP website, but this WIndows version is not supported. Is there any workaround to make it work?
I would appreciate any suggestion,

Monitor Doesn't Work
I have a new HP2005pr USB Port Replicator. My new HP laptop does not have a port for the new monitor so I've plugged in the monitor into the port replicator (it has the correct port). After several days of redownloading drivers and messing with settings, the monitor doesn't work. Help

SP45575.exe Does not work
Hey, first of all i'm using a Compaq Prescario CQ61-311AX Notebook.
I've tried multiple times to fix the problem of my desktop background position being stuck on "stretch" regardless of which option I choose.
I've Downloaded the Wallapaer Picture Enabler and the file SP45575.exe , Yet the file does not execute and run, or maybe it had but the problem has still not been fixed and i'm not able to change the desktop picture backround postion to anything but stretch.
Please note that this problem only occours on this user account, which is a 'standard account' not the administrator, the administrator is able to select the other position options i.e; centre, tile ect.
Please get back to me and reply to further questions by me as i'm desparing i'm not going to be able to fix this.

HP PAVILION 15 series says AMD driver not Installed
I am having HP pavilion e-016tx (Windows 8) with AMD Radeon 8670m graphics but when i check in the control panel it shows INTEL HD graphics 4000 . may be thats my some of the games is not working properly.
when i disabled INTEL HD graphics 4000 , it shows that AMD graphics driver is not installed correctly.
now what to do??? please help me ....

HP DV8 display or video issue
Hello, i own a HP DV8 for some time and since last week my display is dark. I uesed it that day a couple of hours, i heft home turning it to stand-by and and when i returned it just happened. Nothing worked trying to get the image back on my display.
I connected it to an external display and it works without problems, dxdiag shows that the GPU Nvidia Geforce 230M is working wih no problems, i still play my favourite games but on the external display.
What is the problem here?! Some guy told me the graphic chip is cut out but can that be true since i can still use the graphic card and play games, run some small movie production? So what seems to be the problem here ?

HP Elitebook 8440P replacement screen
I have a broken screen on Elitebook 8440P. I found it at this site:

Pavilion 17 notebook with ASUS monitor with black border

HP ProBook 4540s brightness is not working with windows 8 x64bit
this is my second time to install windows 8 but i am facing problem with screen brihtness , i am unable to change screen brightness.
PS: Drivers are properly installed , AMD Graphics drivers are also installed properly but still its not working and by doing google i came to know that many people are facing this issue so kinldy give us solution because wiht HP i am facing this issue although with DELL machine its working fine.

HP Officejet 5600 series
I need some help and don't know how to post in the proper thread or if there is a thread specific to the HP Officejet 5600 series All-in-one Printer/Scanner/Fax. Couldn't get any help via phone and HPP so I came here.
Been using the above printer with my old DeskTop which has just died. Now I want to use the above Printer et al with my HP Pavilion but I can't get it working. Tried reloading disc and now am up against a "Fax Wall". I don't use the fax set up AT ALL.
Is there anyone who can help me. I'm fairly illeterate when it comes to IT and electronics but any basic help would be GREATLY appreciated. Have gotten the message "spooler not working".

Bad Perfomance
Hey, this is my second post here.
I am a light gamer that like games like Euro Truck Simulator and Counter-Strike:Global Offensive. The problem is that when i bought my computer i played CS on 50-70 FPS but now when i updated to W8.1 and tryed to disable one GPU in Device Manager the game got lower FPS on lower settings that i had earlier. And also some games that can run great on my computer is not even runnable at all. I have in AMD CCC everything on Maximized Perfomance, updated graphics drivers, in AMD Graphics High Perfomance on games. But here is my specs :
HP 15-N001SO/A4
4 GB RAM (3.50GB Runnable)
AMD A4-5000m Quad core @ 1,50GHz
AMD Radeon HD 8330 (iGPU) Radeon HD 8670M (dGPU) 3049MB
