Just Recently got a new laptop for gaming. Its the HP Pavilion notebook. Specs are WIndows 10, Intel i7 duel core, NVIDIA Geforce 940M graphics,the 6th generation intel processor, 1 Terabyte hard drive , 12 gig system memory. For some reason whenever I play a game for example, overwatch the screen will flicker black and eventually the entire screen will go black. Only way to restore the screen is to alt f4 the game, close the laptop and open it back up. this has been happening to any game I play, even games that don't require internet connection. Keep in mind i'm able to do everything is like youtube, browsing the web and other basic stuff perfectly fine. I've checked for updates on computer, driver and windows and everything is up to date. I've tried running only the NVIDIA graphic card. I turned vsync on. I've troubleshooted everything. I went and updated everything on the hp support app on the desktop. Lowered the resolution. I really don't know what to do at this point. Any Help would be awesome!

Internal Display Backlight suddenly not working on a new PC
Last night my internal screen was working, I was installing new programmes and went to sleep. When I woke up the next morning the internal display backlight was not working anymore after a restart.
I can see that the screen is still however working, I have followed the steps as provided by the support assistant and have even reset the PC to only include the original programmes. I then used HP Support Assistant to ensure that all the drivers are up to date but still the screen is not working. (The display works on a external monitor.)

R8 M365DX dricers issues

I have a laptop HP Pavilion Notebook 15-ab100nt with a processor A10 8700P and Radeon R8 m365dx graphics. Stable work only very old (April 22, 2016) drivers from the official site of HP (15.201.1101.1008 Rev.B !!!). When I install the latest drivers from the AMD site, they work incorrectly: their work is regularly suspended (black screen in games). It's OK, when in the device manager the video card is designated as R8 m365dx, but when it is updated with the latest (AMD website) drivers it turns into R7 m360 + R6 and starts to work incorrectly. I tried to install drivers from the site HP and AMD (GPU or APU it doesn't matter) in a different order, previously completely uninstal them through the DDU. The most stable work only downloaded from the site HP. Can there be any fix that solves this problem? Or AMD and HP forgot about the support of old laptops and processors?
The solutions I've tried:
- Remove all the drivers with the DDU and install it from the official HP website.
- Remove all the drivers with the DDU and install the latest drivers from the AMD website (also through the manual driver search for APU)
- Remove all the drivers with the DDU and install the latest drivers from the HP website first, then install the latest drivers from the AMD website.

Display port on Hp 2013 dock not working
So basically I cannot get my monitor to display when using the display port through the dock. ive got a passive converter which allows me to use a HDMI cable. When i plug the monitor straight into the laptops display port it works fine 
Ive updated windows' display driver drivers updated the dock firmware. Im not sure what else to try.

HP Spectre x360 External Monitor Display is blurry
My company just purchased me a new laptop which I used both at my office and while on the road. I selected the Spectre x360 15T because of it's performance and it's ability to be used as a tablet while in the field.
First off, the laptop's resolution on the screen is awesome. I love that. However, the laptop screen will be used maybe 10% of the time. The bulk of my work is done at the desk where I have (2) external monitors. They are ViewSonic VA2248M-LED, Model VS13818. Our IT department has an HDMI port addapter hooked to the computer when it's at my desk. The displays on the external monitors are very blurry. I'm not sure how the resolution when hooked to my 8 year old computer is crystal clear yet when using my brand new one, it is so bad.
Is this a driver issue for Windows 10? Is it the HDMI output? These were not an issue on the old laptop. This seems like it should be an easy fix but our IT department is lost. I need some help.

I just bought HP ENVY Laptop 17-ae1xx from USA and it has got display issues
It worked fine for few days but later there was sudden change in brightness while I was working on it and now I can see there are bright spots in corners. These are more apparent when seeing complete black picture in full screen mode.
I am using this laptop in India and I showed it to HP service center in India but they said the product is not launched in India and there is no support they can provide in India.
Laptop claims international warranty and that's the reason I bought it from USA. Please let me know what to do?

Pavilion X360 14-ba016na Elan touchpad not working
Hi, I have had the above laptop for a few weeks, at first the touchpad was fine, now it does not work at all.
I have looked on other threads to try and get an idea. I have done all Windows updates, updated the driver and still connot get it to work. After this, I have found that the touchpad no loger appears in the Elan box in advanced mouse settings.
Next when i go into device manager, I have found the Elan clickpad (which was hidden) and it has a warning triangle on it:

When I try and update the drivers again, it says that I have the best drivers are installed:
Any ideas about how to proceed now?

Hi, I have a HP Envy x360 and I was deciding if I should buy the HP Accelerator for my laptop. Can the HP Envy x360 be plugged with the Thunder Bolt cable from the HP Accelerator?

HDMI - INVALID Format error on TV
i have recently purchased a HP Envy x360 convertible 15m-bp0xx with windows 10 home 64, i have tried to connect my laptop with my samsung and TCL TV both TV have no issue connecting with my other laptop HP probook G450 but not with this HP Envy x360 it always give invalid format error, check resolution, i have changed all resolutions modes but it still doesnot work, i am not sure if it is the HDMI driver issue or what.. i need help

When I run my laptop on battery screen flickers intermittent , does not flicker when charger is pluged in. I am running Windows 10... already did everything which is mentioned here like power saving mode off, changing resolution , rolling back graphic drivers, refresh rate to 40 etc...

Using laptop in sunshine
Hi helpful people,
I have not yet purchased a new laptop because I need to know which one is best to work on in bright sunlight. One of my boys used to have a HP Pavillion model no dv6-6156ea and that was absolutely brilliant in even the brightest of sunlight. That model is no longer available but I am hoping there is an equivalent???
I spent about 30 min on the phone to HP customer service this afternoon trying to find out what the Candela rating (also know as nit rating) was for some of their screens but apparently they don't have that information listed anywhere amongst their technical info, so it is a case of finding out from people who have tried them in sunlight. Can anyone recommed any particular models???

i5 processor or equivalent.
I don't use my laptop for gaming, music or TV merely for work (mainly in Word), emails, Internet and instructional videos on YouTube but I would love to be able to work in my garden when the weather is more clement.
The guy I spoke to at HP said to definitely stay away from Edge models because he has one of those and apprently they are terrible in sunlight.

I just got myself the HP Pen 1MR94AA#ABL. Prior to purchasing, I checked the compatability as indicated on the page.
I inserted the battery and my PC doesn't recognise it at all. I tried switching on bluetooth, nothing was picked either. Am I skipping a step? Or is the device faulty?

Replacement Screen
Model is HP Omen Pro 15, Product is L9U78AA#ABA, THAT'S IT. I'm looking for a replacement screen and tutorial on how to replace it. Most screens you pull the front face off , take out four screws, unplug and replace. I don't see that happening on this screen. Seems the scren is one entire piece. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to use dual monitors for hp17-W266cl omen laptop
I am working with some large files and it would be very helpful to have 2 displays for comparison. I am wondering if I can use my laptop to control 2 external screens. There is 1 HDMI port which could control another screen but am unsure what is needed to control 2 screens. There are a couple of USB ports but nothing else that might possibly be useful. Any ideas or direction on how I might do this? Am starting to think I need to use a tower with a graphics card with dual output. Thanks for any assistance.

I am unable to display to a TV via HDMI
Until recently I was able to connect a my laptop with an HDMI cable to my (or any) tv. I was able to duplicate or extend the picture. Howver, now recently when i connect the HDMI i cannot get the picuture to appear on the TV. I have tried all of the "connect to a prejector options". I can see in the display settings that the PC recognizes the other monitor. ALso, the tv is picking up some signal from the tv becuase it allows me to select the input but gives a message that says "mode not supported". I have tried various resolution options on the computer, but nothing seems to work. I have connected other computers to this tv and they have worked fine. I have tried my computer on other tvs and continue to have the same issue. I can not seem to find a good answer for this issue.
