Guys I have an HP Pavilion x360. I am suffering from the famous ghost touch screen issues. I have tried every suggestion out there including those suggested by HP Support program and Microsoft:

Recalibration

Resetting the computer

Doing the HP touchscreen tests on startup

Cleaning screen

Power setting adjustments

Update the driver

uninstalling & reinstalling the driver

Latest software HP / Windows 10 updates

etc none of it works.

 

I even did a clean install of Windows 10 to see if that helps but so far the only solution is to disable the touchscreen. Very unsatisfying for a computer I bought less than a year ago!

 

With the clean install of Windows 10 I lost Microsoft Office 2007, as they no longer seem to be willing to provide the software I once purchased.

 

So finally I decided to install Linux Mint, and guess what the same problem appeared immediately upon launching the software.

 

So this must be HP hardware problem?

 

Any new insights would be most welcome

I have a HP Envy 13.3" D053sa with an i7 6500u and intel hd graphics 520 running windows 10. I also have an external 21:9 monitor with resolution 2560x1080. My laptop wont output at its full resolution, refusing to go above 2560x1080 @30Hz, which is difficult to use. 

 

The laptops monitor runs at 3200x1800 at 60Hz, so it doesnt make any sense that anything above 1920x1080 @60Hz or 2560x1080 @30hz apparently exceeds max bandwidth capacity. 

 

I have a desktop that can dislpay the full resolution to the 21:9 monitor using the same HDMI cable so im sure the issue is not with the monitor or cable. 

 

I have used the intel driver support assistant and hp support assistant to update my drivers, also updated my BIOS and performed a clean install of windows. 

 

my current intel graphics driver is: 21.20.16.4574

 

The monitor in question is the hazro hz29wia

 

If anyone could help with my issue i would be extremely grateful,

Hello, just got my HP Spectre x360 15-bl108ca 2-in-1  last week and already having issues with SPACE BAR KEY...-it doesnt work if i press it on either  side, the only way to make it work  is to press very hard and exactly right  in the centre of the bar. This is not acceptable for me, i also see that many other users are having the same issue with this particular lap top.

 

Note: nothing is stuck in the bar itself

 

Please advise how to deal with this problem, this is too exepsive of the machine to accept a problem like that.

Using chrome and a program called "brackets" there is no fuzzy screen. But using other programs such as Unity or the setup wizard, gives a fuzzy, blurry screen. I just got my laptop, and it is brand new.

I didn't use my touchscreen very often, mainly with  the one or  two games I play. Then one evening around the begining 

of December I touched my screen and got no response.  I have been through every troubleshooting procedure  suggested

even with HP support, but the fact remains--IT'S JUST NOT THERE.  I hope someone out there can help.

839082-003 Active pen will not work on my Pavilion x360 14 ba0xx.

 

It has paired and "button A" on the end of the pen launches the windows workspace app but it will not write, open or close apps via the stylus.

 

I have updated windows and looked for new software for the pen but without success.

 

Any help much appriciated

May I know if this laptop model's (EliteBook 820 G3) screen produces blue light?

If yes, will it help to get a blue light filter?

FYI, I'm suffering the dry eye symptom as I'm facing it from morning to evening in office daily.

So every since I've bought my laptop there has been constant frame drops in every game I've played. My framerate will go from 50-60 down to 9-14. I've tried a lot of things to fix this problem, such as reinstalling gpu drivers, using ddu, installing previous versions of gpu drivers, waiting for new drivers to be released, physx configuration, changing 3d settings, ajusting image settings, reinstalling games, disabling gamer bar, using my laptop with out it being plugged into the wall, changing power confugrations, and much more. So far nothing has fixed the problem, but I have notice for overwatch if my cpu is running above 60 degrees there is no frame drops, but I can not same that is the same for other games. Recently I've notice that I've been get graphic artifacts while watching youtube, it disappears once I've reloaded the video. I'm beginning to believe this may be caused by the gpu chip being faulty. Would it be best to claim warranty, and get it either fixed/replaced?

Firstly I'm sorry for bad English but Turkish support could not solve my problem. I have dual graphics card Laptop.  I d'ont think my second display card is working. Because my second graphic card not establish connection PCI Express. 3.0 Bus. You can see these problems in the photos. First graphics card is HD 8610G. Second Graphics card is R7 m260

Hello. I have problem with AMD radeon 7650 graphic driver. When i install AMD driver Windows 10 can not start.

I was try windows 7, 8.1, 10 this error occurs in all OS. i turn off driver in safe mode then windows can start. I dont know what is happend with videoadapter and need help. Thanks

Hi, Since probably november I´ve been having issues with videocard in my notebook (ProBook 4540s with AMD Radeon). I´ve had multiple BSOD, mostly Video TDR Failure but some others so on December 15th I performed factory reset (usually after BSOD I had to run system restore which took over 3 hours!).

It was perfect, everything worked well, but last days suddenly my screen went black again and computer rebooted. Yesterday after it went black (and I wasn´t doing anything graphically demanding, just browsing web), then I got BSOD with Video TDR Failure - atikmdag.sys, and I couldn´t boot it.

 

System repair didn´t work, I tried to restore it back to factory setting, that didn´t work either, rightaway I got the message that system can´t be restored to factory settings, what I was able to do was the system restore, so I went back to Dec 15th, right after I restored my computer previously (btw. since than only software I installed were MS Office, one old game and WinRAR) - It took almost FIVE hours to restore the system!

 

I turned off swichable graphics in BIOS (which I had previously when I restored system back to factory settings), AMD is not visible, nor is the Catalyst Convertor installed). It must be without latest Win10 update since It has old Windows Store Icon.

 

I hope it´s some kind of software issue rather then hardware since It worked well for couple of days after the factory reset. But I need to know, what shall I do now? I will finish my work, I wasn´t able to do yesterday evening since it crashed, will download Windows 10 iso from Microsoft and create Windows 10 USB boot drive. But what shall I do then? Should I reinstall AMD drivers (I had the latest AMD and Intel from HP page for my laptop eventhou that one of them was older then I had before) and turn swichable graphics back on? Won´t I have same issues?

Hello, Since I got my computer a year ago, every few minutes or half an hour, no matter what program I am using or what I am doing at the same moment, I get a black screen (just in the window of the program, not all screen- I can still see the bottom menu bar of the windows 10), and a few seconds after it goes back to normal, and so on...

This happens since I got the computer. I am using HP Spectre 13-v001nj notebook and I have to say that my dad and his friend have the same problem, also with HP notebooks (not spectre but pavillion). We all have those computers less than 2 years and we got them with original windows 10. We check for updates and download any updates that the computer suggests. It occurs since we got the computers and not after an update.

I guess I am not the only one with this problem, and I would like to know how to fix it. I could not find the answer in the forums.

i am trying to connect my sharp tv to my laptop and getting nowhere.

the tv only has a vga connection,so am using a vga cable from tv to vga/hdmi adaptor into the laptop and after numerous attempts all i get on the tv screen is no signal through the tv pc input facility.

so i am now wondering if what i am trying to do is possible and if so would be extremely greatful for any guidance.

hello guys 
I know a guy that know a guy that know a guy with the same pc above icluding mine that amd driver display not working any more with any driver update my problem is from few days other guys promblem start from few week or months . if you are not affected yet in the future you will face it or try to reinstall your driver now and you will get the problem 
signs and symtoms 
1-blue and black screen when ever you try install amd driver 

2-no 3d program or game will work after that

3-hp 3d guard driver or accelermotor not compitable with win 10 error 

hp released updte but it didn't work for our pcs i tried posting my problem here but no one respond to me 

all guys with the same pc please reply 

 

hp should say something and try to find a solution before it goes bigger

Hello everyone.
I was watching some videos on internet today. The screen just flicked few times and went black. I still could hear the sound. But the screen was black. I did a restart and the screen not coming on. When it boots up i can see that screen is not off. It is on but just all black because i can see the the back light of it. I have tried a hard reset so the screen started flickering on next start up but eventually it went down. I still manahe to get it on if i press anything on the screen but only for a second and all flickering most of the times. Tried to move the angle of the screen - also no response.
I did win 10 update a day ago. Could it be its fault ?
I suspect bad compatability with win 10 or a hardware fault. As it used to act funny when i played some videos on edge..but only edge, it used to freeze and then restart itself.

Any suggestion, guys ? It gives me.proper headache now.
