All of a sudden yesterday....I started to get this problem.......there is a horizontal line almost half was of the screen......the bottom part of the screen is bllured and it flickers....mirroring the top part of the screen......sometime......flickering is not there but mirroring stays.....

 

I tried updating and uninstalling the display adapater from the device manager...it did not work.

 

No new software or prog installed..

 

The problem remains in safe mode also....

 

When i took a screen shot, the picture does not have the blurred effect......

 

In display settings...salce & layout as well as resolution are at recomended level.....multiple display is Off and  in Multitaksing Snap is also Off

 

I used DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth....and it returned with the message...as 100% operation successful

 

Sfc /scannow also did not find any violations......

 

Any help.....? really apreciated...

I bought a laptop HP pavilion x360 14-ba025tu 5 days ago and while watching Netflix the coloring tone of the screen changes constantly from a "warm" coloring to a "cold" coloring. It almost looks like something in the screen isn't connecting well which makes it flicker the whole time. In addition the problem doesn't seem to happen while watching youtube videos or Stan videos. I only notice that while watching netflix in full screen.

I saw the same problem on a deactivated conversation in this forum, and some people had the computer replaced by a brand new one and faced the same issue in the new machine.

would anyone know how that got fixed?

I´ve been using Win 10 Pro build 1607 on my Elitepad 900 successfully for several months (originally Win8 Win8.1). suddenly during usage my touchscreen stopped working. In the device manager the screen is listed now as PnP-monitor only. I´ve tried reinstalling the touchscreen driver without success.

I also tried the touchscreen test in the UEFI diagnosis tool, the touchscreen showed no response.

Any suggestions?

Hello.
My touchpad lock button not working.
Checked in Windows 7 and 10 PRO/ENTERPRISE.
Worked a couple of times.
What to do? Can i get right driver? I have official hp 250 g1 touchpad driver to windows 8, but
Now i have system of Windows 10
In the settings there is no tick for the lock button

My computer does not recognize my camera, so I cannot use Skype.  Model 17-f233cl, serial number 5CD421700H, Part number L0Q81UA.  Originally came with Windows 8.1 with free upgrade to Windows 10.  I now have Windows 10, 64 bit. 
Computer registered with HP on 10/12/2015.  Warranty expired 10/11/2017.

Cyberlink youcam was on the computer, but no longer is.  I believe I need a suitable driver for my camera. Which free driver should I be using that I can find on the internet, unless there is a better solution that you can recommend to solve the problem?

Recently I noticed that my screen popped out of place and I went to pop it back in and the screen cracked in both bottom corners. The screen is now cracked, out of place, and the touch screen no longer works. I was wanting to do a screen replacement, there are no things I can find to help me to do one. I am not near any place that replaces laptop screens so I am stuck doing it myself. Are there any videos or anyhing that could help me?

Have a new HP Envy x360 - 15-z-bq100 CTO,AMD Rhyzen 2500U.  The driver for the AMD Vega 8 graphics has an error code 43.  Checked AMD driver website and says current driver is isntalled, updated windows and still has same issue.  Appears to be running a generic windows graphics driver instead of the AMD one.

 

Tried running a Novabench and GPU wouldn't even score.

 

Any advice on getting this brand new laptop to run properly?

Suddenly, out of nowhere and no reason, my touchpad stopped working. Initial look into the computer showed no issues with the cord connecting pad with the motherboard and no issues with the pad. What can be wrong?

When I woke up I found a brown spot on my laptop screen when it wasnt there last night. It kinda looks burned. But it disappears or lightens whenever I view it from a different angle. Can you help me figure out what's wrong and a way to fix this? It's really annoying and bothersome to look at when I'm working.

Hi everyone. I am not entirely sure I got the product name of my laptop right. It is an HP Pavilion X2 Detachable Laptop. It is the 12 inch screen, core m3 with 4gb of RAM model. 

 

About a month ago, I was having problems with it restarting. I call Microsoft who went ahead and put a clean installation of Windows 10 on my pc. This was great because it fixed my laptop, but had the added bonus of not having of any bloatware from HP. Well, this is a detachable laptop so it has a touch screen and this one has a digitizer, this lead me to be interested in buying a stylus for my laptop. I contacted HP to find out which of their 4 main stylus's worked with my laptop. The representative gave me the right name but the wrong serial number so I got the wrong stylus. I believe this (http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-active-pen-p-t5e12aa-abl--1) one is right for my device (look in the compatibility section in the document under the specifications section). But here is my question: Since I have a clean installation of windows 10, will this stylus still work with my computer. It obviously still has the right hardware requirements but I am not sure if there is a driver or special software necessary for it to work. If so, how do I get it?

 

By the way, I have already tried to find out for myself on HP's support website but when I type in the name of the stylus (HP Active Pen) nothing comes up. When I type in the product ID, I get results for a 15 inch  laptop. And, because I can't find the right product on the support site, I also can't call HP tech support because you have to contact them about that product.

 

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I closed my laptop one night and the next morning when I opened it, there was a large crack in the glass, orgininating from near the hinge. There was no way I could've been the cause of my broken laptop screen.

 

I've contacted HP support and they told me the issue wasn't covered under my warrenty because it wasn't their fault, but I've recently been searching through the HP forums and it seems like HP is finally acknowledging the defective screen was in fact, their fault. 

I just want my screen replaced for free since I paid so much for this laptop and it's touch screen capabilities that I cant use now because the screen randomly broke.

(1) Recently purchased HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx. 

(2) Bought a Belkin Ultra High Speed HDMI cable and a  USB-C hub (Baseus: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072X7XQM7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). 

(3) Connected HDMI to Dell U2415 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NZTKOQI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

(4) No display ... 

 

I checked the driver for the display adapter and it is current.

Hi, I have an HP ENVY 15-aq100 x360 Convertible PC and I am trying to find out what stylus pens will be compatible with it. I bought the laptop with the intention of using it for graphics and design work so the touchscreen capability is brilliant however I am struggling to find a pen that is compatible as my laptop is not on the list for compatible laptops. any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

 

have HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ac0XX (2017 version) and Benq PD2710QC. Can't get screen working through usb-c cable. Have latest bios (f40), updates (Win 10 x64, 1709), drivers. Reinstalled Thunderbolt drivers as well. Notebook is charging through usb-c cable connected with display but screen doesn't work. System doesn't recognize display although it recognized audio device which is part of monitor... Tried play with sources on monitor etc. but without success, while trying connect display with other cable then usb-c it works.

 

Not sure what to try next.

 

Any help?

My laptop boots just fine until after the windows logo. Light are on and the "start" sound is heard, but no image on screen. If I boot the laptop in safe mode and deactivate the Intel HD Graphic drivers and then restart, an image appears onscreen, but graphics are suboptimal. Drivers are up-to-date and I have attempted a hard reset, but I am unsure if it was succesful

Hi,

 

Recently I've been trying to connect my LG 23MP55HQ monitor to my HP Envy Notebook 14-j007tx through HDMI port.

 

But I'm missing something since the monitor is not being detected by my laptop, the Win + P combo also does not help, nor the function key to direct the display output to the monitor works.

 

The monitor just displays HDMI in, No Signal. 

 

I've tried installing windows again, rolled back drivers, but the intel graphics control center nor the windows display settings detect my monitor.

 

The monitor was working fine with my desktop on a DVI connection.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Screen always flickers when having a black(or Darkgrey)/white contrast. Especially the white tone flickers but sometimes aswell the grey tone.

 

Impotant:

- I already tried uninstalling Intel HD Graphics 620 driver and reinstalling it from hp official driver page, it still flickers

 

- When deactivateing Intel HD Graphics 620 and using Microsoft Generic Grafics instead it does NOT flicker.
