HP Envy x360 m6 convertible lags when plugged in/charging

Basically, when my laptop is plugged in and I try to run games, the computer lags frequently and drops a significant amount of frames. However, as soon as I unplug the computer, the fps goes back up to normal and the game runs very smoothly.

 

I have tried updating the BIOS, drivers, changing the power settings, disabling CoolSense, but nothing works. I tried calling the HP Support center only for them to tell me that my warranty only covers physical damage, and basically they wanted to charge me $40+ to fix an issue that has been there since I bought the computer. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

So my hp envy x360 has a cracked screen. I disabled the touch screen as this became very annoying. However, recently the screen has begun to fade out. For example the mouse stops working (the screen freezes) and the scren fades out and becomes very bright until it is completely white. Often, moving tilting the screen (rotatinging it back and forth) will cause the screen to come back and for it to regiser the mouse and keyboard again. I would like to either replace the screen, however, I am unsure to exactly what I need to replace OR if possible fix the issue myself. Please let me know what youre thoughts are on this. Thank you.

HP ENVY can't find built in camera. It used to work not that long ago, a month or so. I get this error message   "We can't find your camrea.....    0xa00f4244(0xC00DABE0)  ".  Don't know what to do.  thanks, johnelliot

ghost screen issues

i have an Hp pavilion 15 notebook I can confirm that the ghost touches occur in the lower left region of the screen, if not the very corner itself by the taskbar. When it happens it renders the rest of the machine useless. The only way I have managed to make it stop is to close the lid and force the device to sleep. I cannot force it to reboot as the continous ghost touching will remove the cursor instantly from wherever I want it to be and thus it it impossible to venture into any of the menus.  i dont ever use the touch screen so i know thats not the issue , i  tried updating drivers it didnt stop i make sure my screen is always clean and fourth with. i would like a resoultion to this matter please this cost alot and its a new laptop so please Hp i need answers.
 
i saw people having smilar issues. this is a video of the same problem i am having like others just for your time to have a visual as to what is happening.

Dead pixel - Warranty

Hi all,

 

I bought Pavilion laptop few days ago and straigt away during configuration of laptop I noticed dead black pixel in middle of the screen. 

 

I understand that might happen, but i have impession that dead pixel is on the screen from the beggining and I have doubts about quality check from HP. It is understandable, if dead pixel would show up after several months, but selling laptop with noticeable dead pixel as new laptop is not right.

 

Could somebody help me how resolve that situation?

HP Spectre 360 cursor going crazy

Hi. I just got my new HP Spectre 360 today fresh out of box. After not even an hour of usage, the cursor suddenly goes crazy. The cursor suddenly goes to the right area and move erracticly up down left right like there is a small kid playing with the touchpad. It became very erratic that it's even hard to type anything. I've tried to disable the touchpad and touch screen but the same thing happened. However, after i used troubleshoot from windows setting and reset, the cursor problem became lighter. THe cursor still act crazy but less frequent then before and it's easier to type now. But it still annoy me as I've spent big bucks to buy this thing an I'd even have to pay a hotel room to collect this laptop. I'd been boasting about the design n spec to my friend and he told me to show him after i bought it as he planned to buy it too if it's good. Now I have to tell this 'annoying problem' to him. And it's Christmas, so the hp support will not be available until Tuesday. Worst Christmas Holiday Ever...

Touchpad not working

Hello 

 

A couple of days ago i updated my computer, but aftwards the touchpad didn't work. I could connect a wireless mouse and use it, but I cant use the integrated touchpad. I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it, and then it worked fine but then I closed my computer and opened it later it didn't work again this has happened all the times I have tried installing it, it's like it is uninstalling itself. 

 

It would be very helpful if anyone has a solution Smiley Happy

Throttling issue. Frame drops while PLUGGED INTO power, no issue while on battery

Hi.
I've recently just purchased the Pavillion 15-ck063tx on Wednesday, 20th December 2017.
It comes equipped with:

Core i5 8th Gen 8250u, 
Nvidia MX150
8gb RAM
Win 10, 64 bit


The issue that I've identified and need help solving is this:
While playing the first person shooter game Overwatch connected to power source, I experience a rhythmic dip in frames, every 15-20 seconds; dropping from  60 fps to 20 fps. The framedrop will last approximately 5 seconds.

However, while running solely on battery, the framerates were stable at 60 fps.

 

These are the following actions I have undertaken prior to seeking help here (not in order):
1. updating the display drivers.
2. updating windows
3. updated everything listed by HP Support Assistant.
4. Tweaking and toggling with multiple settings in the game.
5. Updated Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework drivers.
6. Toggled between the 2 options in HP Coolsense.

 

I've read a few forum post here, sharing my same predicament. 
Please advise my next course of action.

put the battery in the pen but it doesn't draw on the screen.

hp pavilion g62 model laptop inside my ATi brand display card is malfunctioning ı use hd graphics card but ı want to use hd graphics card but i am not connected to hd graphics card and laptop tv. ı have not done anything but ı changed the hdmi cable. i play with traffic settings and i can not connect to the television.

My HP Stylus Pen (productcode: 1MR94AA#UUF) doesn't work on my notebook HP Spectre x360 13-w010nd.

Is there a driver which I need to install? Or is the stylus not compatible wit my notebook or with Windows 10?

 

If it's not compatible, which other stylus is compatible/do you recommend?

fine vertical lines throughout display

Hi I've had an issue with my display which I can only describe as very faint fuzzy vertical scrolling lines that seem to be present most of the time. Blue and darker colours seem to be affected more than others. When I first got the device the display was crystal clear.

 

Please find below a photo I've tried to take showing this problem (it seems when uploading some of the quality is lost, look to the right of the blue banner near the text to see an example of the vertical lines which are actually present everywhere).

 

I've tried the following to resolve the issue/find out what is going on:

 

start in safe mode

update all of my drivers including bios as per HP support centre

problem is still there whilst charging

changing display setting such as refresh rate and power settings such as panel self refresh and power saving technology

I can also confirm that the lines do NOT appear on an external display device such as a TV when plugged in via HDMI adapter. 

 

none of these have been effective at all, and I'm not sure what else to try.
